Guest NeMisiz210 Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 Ive lost count how many i would've installed and uninstalled srs wow hd. the only way to make it work(bring back from sleep) is to untick "enable" on srs wow hd once you've finished using (like WMP). once its disabled, phone seems to be working like normal. plus i've removed start up items on windows folders as Rith suggested. Still a mystery :D Which start-up items are even safe to delete? I see a few files but some of them seem like they are necessarry system processes.

Not every piece of hardware or software are identical, it is impossible. There are always fluctuations in lots of different things. This app should not really cause issues with the wake up, but it does. rith says he 100% fixed it, but that will be just for his Omnia. It works for some people, but the majority it wont (or doesnt after some time). I appreciate what you saying, and it should be easy to fix, but its not. To be brutally honest, i dont think it should work, thats what the issue really is. :D

The next step is enable SRS but for me doesn't work...It says here is no wow driver installed. Then on phone doesn't work sound and touchscreen!!! I make soft reset 4-5 time, but without any good result for me. SOLUTION: I uninstall SRS WOW HD 1.5.10 i900, soft rest and then I turn off the phone, put out a battery for 2min, put in battery and turn phone on. Now everything working!!!

Check the 'DLL', 'OldDriver' and 'Flags' registry settings under HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/WaveDev. Dll should have the value of 'WOWHD_ARM_WCE_PPC2005_Driver.dll' without the quote and OldDriver's value should be your previous OutputDevice value, for example, 'zylonite_wavedev2.dll' for mine. The value for Flags should be 2. In this thread, rith even suggested leaving the value for OutputDevice as an empty string, but it didn't solve the most of OMNIA users' power suspension problem. It seemed to work one minute (maybe a day or so) but next minute the problem came back. IMO, it is not worth to try yet as you may end up with a frozen phone under the WM's normal power suspension which requires resetting your phone to wake it up, or fast battery drain by leaving the phone's power suspension mode completely off and only using the screen on/off feature to save your battery. It's shame to not be able to use this rich sound enhancement properly yet. As OMNIA II does come with the SRS WOW feature, once it's released we may be able to port the driver to our OMNIA. Well i installed it and it hasn't even been 10 minutes and I havent even listened to any music or played any video files and my phone went into sleep mode and wouldn't wake up. It isn't as frequent nor as annoying as other SRS WOW "fixes" on here but, at the end of the day, it still isn't 100% nor 99.9% working. It's more like 80%, purely because it's working at all. Which is funny too, really, since looking at your signature, we're using exactly the same version of 6.5, probably the same one. Sector's? And I have it pretty much at default settings. I hope that an actual Omnia SRS driver is found... I guess here's to hoping that one of the new Omnias that is coming out will have the answer

It justs complains for a missing dll, -After the install the phone was permanently muted (as a consequence of the above I guess). I followed your instructions to the letter and I also did the reset, re-reset thing. Please change your title. Your statement of 99%-100% is inaccurate.
