Guest Lancez Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 谢谢楼主! dont post it over kingmobile, they already got it and dose not work ;)
Guest vbox Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 I am using QBUS DX11 fast as a light ROM (in i900). -I installed in my Omnia and the WOW panel doesn't start. It justs complains for a missing dll, -After the install the phone was permanently muted (as a consequence of the above I guess). I followed your instructions to the letter and I also did the reset, re-reset thing. Please change your title. Your statement of 99%-100% is inaccurate. From what I see it supposed to be less than 50%. For all having no sound and/or touchscreen problems after installing the driver: Install 1_AllowCertificateInstall.cab, 2_SdkCerts.cab, extract, copy to phone and run 3_SecurityOff.cpf before installing the driver cab. Then you will have sound and the driver will load.1_AllowCertificateInstall.cab2_SdkCerts.cab3_SecurityOff.rar
Guest vbox Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Make backup of your registry first! You may install any version of the driver. And if you want to try resolve the hang problem, after installing go with your registry editing program to HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\BtA2dpSnd and delete "Flags" key. Check in HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\WaveDev "Flags" key. It must be 2 or 65538 in decimal. Additionally you can delete OutputDevice from HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\WaveDev. Yes, delete that key. Softreset and try if the device will hang. Settings for "Headphones" profile selected in Control Panel of SRS: Go to HKLM\System\State\Hardware and create DWORD key, named Headset and type value 1 in decimal. Settings for constant (but different, if you want) output gains: Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\SRS\WOWHD or WOWXT, in my case WOWHD. In subfolders BtA2dpSnd and WaveDev you can create DWORD keys InputGain and OutputGain and type (in decimal) what you want for output gains. In my case the settings are: InputGain:6, OutputGain:4 for WaveDev and InputGain:2, OutputGain:0 for BtA2dpSnd, because i want louder sound for my BTHeadset. Another extra is that the phone started to load ringtone to the Bluetooth headset when rings. !!! The device hangs mostly after using SMS program or after exiting Opera, or if suspend with WiFi connection on. !!! Now that is resolved in my Omnia. I hope this will help more people to have this great sound enhancement, but is your decision to try or not. My power settings is set to default. Note that if you want to remove SRS and restore registry back, you have to type it again (or restore the registry from backup). PS: HKLM means HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Guest Clos Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Thanks for this. I'll give it a try and feed back.
Guest Clos Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Well... I've re installed SRS WOW an edited the registry as described above, listened to a lot of music (sounding much better), used WiFi, SMS and used suspend when my omnia has not been in use. So far it have behaved itself with no hangs on suspend. I have to say I've been here before with SRS WOW and the problem has occurred after a few hours but so far so good.
Guest dwallersv Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Can someone explain me how can sound and phone not waking up be related!!??? :) i seriously don't get it how can 50 kb big program improve your sound so much and yet bring such strange errors...and why is no one able to fix it when we have such great people who code/cook stuff on this forum? The answer is actually pretty straightforward, and makes a lot of sense. Windows Mobile has a very sophisticated, feature-rich power management subsystem to facilitate long battery life. There are about a half dozen power "states" ranging from full on, with everything powered up and running at full tilt, to Suspend, where everything that can be turned off is. Drivers, which control devices and sometimes actual physical hardware, have programmatic interfaces the OS can access to tell these drivers what state the device is in, when it's transitioning, etc., so they can take appropriate action and cut power if necessary. Also, drivers when initialized can tell the OS what states they can support, and there is some configuration entries in the registry for devices to help get this all sorted out as the OS changes power state. SRS WOW is implemented as a virtual device driver, so is affected by all this power management stuff. Apparently, on the Omnia, it is not handling transition into or out of the sleep state properly, hanging the phone.
Guest dwallersv Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 It's shame to not be able to use this rich sound enhancement properly yet. As OMNIA II does come with the SRS WOW feature, once it's released we may be able to port the driver to our OMNIA. WHAT?!?!???!?!?!?!????!?!?? Where did you find this gem? That is supercalifragilisticexpealidotious news!!! We already have one member from Aus on the board that already has an i8000 in hand. Maybe we can get him to post the driver and the cpl so we can try them out?
Guest dwallersv Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Vbox, first of all thanks tons for persisting in trying to get this to work. You will be a hero here if you do in fact finally solve it. Now, I've installed again and followed your instructions in post #131. It's only been a few hours, but so far so good. I've put the phone to sleep again and again with the power button -- wakes up just fine. Also let S2U2 put it to sleep after timing out, and it still is waking up. This was usually a sure way to get it to die. So, we'll see. The only difference from your post for me compared to previous attempts is the deletion of flags from the BtA2dpSnd key, and the OutputDevice from WaveDev. Could that be the trick? Don't know. In addition to those changes, I also completely rebuilt my configuration from a hard reset a week or so ago for different reasons, and have less installed and certainly didn't redo some reg tweaks I'd done before but can't remember. So, can't say for sure what the magic is to make it work, but so far, so good. Thanks again!
Guest 07aspenx Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Day 36 ;) Kinda funny that you're the only one that can get this to work. :)
Guest andylyf Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 i've installed the SRS and tried the registry on post #131.... working fine for me now, no hang ups.... if you canot get it work, no need to be sour grapes.....
Guest eufouria Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Can any i910 users verify the reg edits have worked?
Guest arthos7 Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 i've already tweak my phone base on post #130 and #131 yesterday although i don't even understand it.it's already been 15 hours and my phone is still running good.alarm wakeup working nicely this morning.tweak from post #1 only lasted for 3-4 hours only.gonna post back here if my phone got problems.
Guest vbox Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 ;) It is simple :) Just install a version, that will have sound. Or if you have installed, but phone hangs, go to HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\BtA2dpSnd and delete "Flags" key. That will be enough i think
Guest 6gate Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Just installed & followed #131. Hope eveything run fine. :)
