Guest Jumba Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Hmmm, phone wouldn't wake up... had to remove the battery. Let me try re-installing.
Guest fane Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Well i must say that its maybe the 100 time im trying this to work.Ive been following the threads hoping for a final fix because wow is so MUCH better that rsv or else :) So far so good the phone wake up with any button and in lock mode too.But im testing this all afternoon because the original problem wasnt the first moments but some time later.Even so thank you very much. If this fix work i want to ask Sector to cook in future roms because this is a must have app for our phone. ;) Edited July 24, 2009 by fane
Guest vbox Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Jumba Second time installing will help you. Right now i am with Sector's cab and it work. I have to install it twice too. Anyway, check your registry in Bta2dpsnd aftr install, and if there is "Flags" key Omnia will hang. You can delete it and that solves the problem.
Guest daeman012 Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) Thanks vbox ... It seems you have finally nailed down this long-standing unsolved mystery. It's been working beautifully so far. I'm using your tip with another build with 1.5.1 control panel on, not a single freeze. Very much appreciate your posts (#131, #142) here. For those experiencing sound distortion at a high definition level while listening with an a2dp headset, try the following setting. It may help to reduce it. HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A2DP\Settings UseJointStereo 1 SampleRate 48000 MaxSupportedBitPool 51 MinSupportedBitPool 33 One more note, for my case, OutputDevice setting under WaveDev key, didn't make any difference. I just left the setting there. Thanks a bunch. Edited July 25, 2009 by daeman012
Guest Jumba Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 haha, my alarm almost blew me away this morning. So much louder and clearer. :) And no noticeable battery drain.
Guest naynada Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Installed sector's cab, then had to add/delete a few of the reg entries as per #131. So far so good! :) Thanks vbox and sector! =]
Guest sector Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 we are preparing another cab with vbox. it needs some more fixes
Guest Henxu Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 we are preparing another cab with vbox. it needs some more fixes Just reporting something in. I installed the vbox .cab and it well flawlessly (with flags removed), even with WiFi on (with old SRS, when I turn on WiFi or Bluetooth and I put it in sleep mode, it just freezes). But today when I woke up, Phone hang up. I'm going to see again #131 and try next.
Guest Jumba Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Meh, hanged again. * waits patiently for the next cab to arrive *
Guest dwallersv Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Damn, vbox, I tihnk you got it!!! Two days straight now with no crashes at all. WOOHOO!! To add to the testing matrix, I'm on a 910 with the official CF03 rom update released this month. I didn't install vbox's cab, or any of the other files posted in the certs post. I installed my copy of the 1.5.1 version that I downloaded many months ago, then deleted the flags and OutputDevice values. Vbox -- what is the purpose of that flags value? Man, I'm hoping this keeps working and working... I finally had to give up a few weeks ago and live without SRS, as I was missing phone calls.
Guest lhahehal Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 installed sectors version and deleted the flags.. so far device is still alive..
Guest fane Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Sectors cab didnt worked for me.I had to go to registry and DELETE the flag key.Soft reset and its working since yesterday night.
Guest 07aspenx Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 The fix was given by vbox which does work... (Thanks vbox). I was replying to rith who claims that his fix works which neither of the users here got to work. i've installed the SRS and tried the registry on post #131.... working fine for me now, no hang ups.... i'm a moron and i like sour grapes.....
Guest engmisho Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 (edited) Thanks vbox, thanks Sector I've just install it, and work fine since 1 hour (only after I deleted the flags manually), I will report back after extensive use Edited July 25, 2009 by engmisho
Guest sector Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 We created with vbox new cabs. Im creating a new topic about it just to stop the confusion between versions. -> http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...wow-hd-1-5-1-0/ Of course you have to thank rith also for his hard work and so much effort he put into this.

Guest deano10 Posted July 26, 2009 Report Posted July 26, 2009 Well done Rith. This works a treat.....HUUUGGGGE thumbs ups for all ur hard work and determination to get it to work :) It truly is brilliant....THKS!!!!
Guest Eugene Chan Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Am using Ryrzy ROM, and SRS works like charm in there. Its juz tat i will nid to delete the "flag" and "output device" in order to wake my device up. otherwise, it will nid to soft reset everytime which is awful... Anyway, finally it works now... love it and it sounds way better than the original sound driver. i think this SRS are now eligible to compete with HTC's audio booster :)
Guest Eugene Chan Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) Oops...after using for awhile, i realize this, once it goes standby, there is a delay when i press the power button to wake the Omnia up. After waking up, the touch screen cannot be functioning anymore, then i take out the battery and insert it again, the touch screen start to function again, then i uninstall the srs wow hd, i cant touch my screen once again... wat is happening? i will nid to flash again now... and this sucks... :) Everyone! SRS WOW HD is messing up with ur Omnia, There is currently no solution yet to solve this prob in Omnia yet... This is my experience, i hope some one will reli fix this problem, but its been so long for so many developers that trying to fix it. I will be having a wide miss of SRS WOW sound in my omnia, some how i still nid to use back my old default sound driver... it leaves me smile at the 1st moment, and cry at the last moment... Most of us are having no problems with SRS WOW, be it the cab file from sector or here. So if you cant get it working? maybe its the rom you using? dun be such sour grapes and tell EVERYONE that its messing with Omnia, cause i do not have such problem even when i uninstall it to see if its messing up like you said. To disappoint you, i have ABSOULUTELY no problem, and now music is great..... Thanks for your "KIND" warning, but to me, its more like sour grapes....
