Fingerboard 2.1 no arrow layout, Portrait

I have uninstalled my fingerkeyboard 2 , but now the Omnia wants to open all my sms using this and the screen is coming up blank , How do I get rid of this , or should I say enable the phone to default to Samsung Keypad?

i would say that you just need to set the default keyboard to the samsung keypar using im selector or something else and then softreset it, that should work

hey :) look at the first post and enjoy, it should work at least it looks like it does, although i don't have the right charset to see the hebrew symbols!

this ended up being a pretty nice mod... i guess i dont mind too much the arrows on landscape and the portrait buttons were just too damn small. THANKS!

Wish i had a little more time to customize...

EDIT: would it be possible to try doing this with the landscape setup...? Just to try out... I know there are a million and 1 people out there that want that... with bigger keys and such.

There use to be a huge thread with alternative layouts on xda and on here i think... and they just dont work for 2.1 :-(

Best layout for a keyboard I've used so far and I've tried them all.

Fingerboard is good, but this modification makes it much better.

I want to thank endursa for doing such a good job on this layout. My only complaint has been with the number pad layout, I just felt it was awkward and not very useable, I haven't found a good one for fingerkeyboard yet. Today I decided to make a better numberpad layout and in my opinion I succeeded, this should be a great addition to an already great layout.

Hi Guys 

I didn't forget the request for swedish and arabic, but atm i don't have fkb installed, cause i switched to Omnia II and the default keyboard there is almost as good, and the screen rotation bugs in fkb2.1 got on my nerfs :)

but i will do swedish and arabic if someone could upload me the original files !

Sorry that took so long but the file has been updated to the correct one. I don't know how I missed that.

Rename to skin-02-wqvga-port-01-eng.txt copy to skin folder and it should be OK.

any vga version for this great skin?

Maybe just me but I can't seem to get the "next layout" key to switch from portrait text to Portrait digits.Works in landscape mode.What could be causing this?

I really want to get this working, but I ran into a problem when I copied mine over. I never use the arrows, and with the optical mouse thing, they're really not necessary on the omnia. Anyways...

I copied my file over fine, but when I tried to load up portrait FingerKeyboard, only the "q" key was loading. Any idea why that would happen? I'm using FingerKeyboard 2.1 with english keys.

I emailed the txt file to myself, which I picked up on my phone and copied over. I originally opened the txt file with Total Commander and thought maybe it had corrupted the file somehow but I tried it again without opening and just copied and still got the same result.

Hm, maybe I need to read the directions haha. I missed the part about overwriting the types file. I bet thats my problem right there...

EDIT>> Yep, that was the problem. So if you are reading this and only have the "q" key showing you got antsy and didn't read like I did. RTFM!

Thanks a lot for the edit. I've wanted to look into that forever but never tried. Great job. So much better!
