Custom WM6.5 ROMs for i900 by Ryrzy

Thanks Ryrzy for your great ROM! Works so much nicer than the original WM 6.1. Using it now for a couple of days and it is very nice and responsive.

Does anyone know the solution to the problem of the clock app? In the home screen underneath the time there is no alarm present, but in the new Clock app i have set the alarms. Also if i click on alarms , the old (probably samsung) clock / alarm app is started. is there a posibility to link the new clock ( tclock ) app to the homescreen, so that it starts, and displays the correct alarms.

how are you guys playing videos which have been captured by omnia camera on omnia 6.5. I've installed Divx, but it doesnt play mp4 videos. Anyone tried installing Touch Player?

Hey!!

Nice ROM, it is although the fastest one for WM 6.5 and the best WM 6.5 rom I have used. I specially like that it has hardly no apps preinstalled, it's nice default theme and it's overall stability and touch friendliness.

There are a few things I would change (if I knew how to, so it's totally up to you):

-Change Start menu theme, as it is slow. Simpler themes have much more smooth (and faster) scrolling, wich makes it easier to navigate trough it.

-Exclude Samsung apps (contacts calendar, clock, keyboards), as they are easily available via cab, self installable with XDA_UC, and consume lots of RAM (clock by instance takes about 8 Mb and doesn't offer that much when compared to the standard WinMo alarm system). Maybe you could leave camera and radio as they are both very good apps and I think the easiest way to use that hardware. I mentioned keyboards because samsung's keyboard is big, takes a lot of screen room and we have fingerkeyboard, wich i think is better, specially for strange characters input (such as à, á, ñ).

About the first topic... does anyone know how can I install the default start menu theme?

anyone having problem with WiFi?

Don't know why my device cannot connect with my home network, any special setting to do in "Advance Config"?

I try to connect to other networks such as in cafe, certain restaurants, etc that provide wireless network, my device shows that it is connected successfully, but I cannot open a single web page in my browser. I tried both Opera and Internet explorer.

I referred to other source, and they point out that is the "Activesync" program running at the background of the windows mobile. U should need to close the "Activesync" by using task manager in order to open web page, is that true?

Samsung apps are a must. Esspecially since WinMo require the use of Stylus constantly.

Don't agree..not in WinMo 6.5. Even though, nitrogen player has butons nearly as big as touch player and takes 1 MB of RAM, instead of the 8 MB from touch player... and does the job quite better.

or fix the dialer bug, and change the start menu theme for smoother scrolling, just like jesusrop said. =)

oh...I can`t understand something: why do all cookers do lite roms?

I mean...why don`t you include all kinds of applications and stuff?I personally don`t need free memory on the rom...I`ve got it in my storage.

Most people want as little as possible because they dont use most of the stuff and it slows it down too much. Whatever you need you can install yourself and if your flashing a lot you can use programs such as sashimi to install all of your cabs automatically.

If you want a ROM with all the Samsung stuff theres a new one out http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...ouched-version/ its got everything! actually too much stuff!

hi,

My omnia doesn't restart automatically even:

1. After press the reset hole.

2. After hard reset

3. After soft reset.

It switches off , and i have to return ON the omnia i900 manual with power switch on the top.

Need help and advice to resolve this issues

1. Battery is full

2. Offical ROM DZAI5 used

3. Didn't change the anything else?

I had same issue. I solve it flashing once again the phone (i gues hard reset would do the same)

I'm using the "normal" version with SPB Mobile Shell and it's ok... except for some minor bugs already reported from other users here.

forget pocket rar. use 7zip. there is a beta version for pocket pc.

the menubar for this program will not appear properly because the app is designed to have the start and ok buttons in the top (old style UI).
