Custom WM6.5 ROMs for i900 by Ryrzy

These ROMs are now much more better than official ROMs...

Ya.. I give you this mikka.. these roms are much better than original ones.. Actually I tried so many roms in these months that I don't remember how awful the original was.. I just remember that they WERE, though..

What I meant, anyway, was that 28230 could have been compared to an official rom, if samsung wuold have supported us with wm 6.5..

Something that I still bare in my mind.. <_<

Does anyone know if there's a way to install additional languages for the XT9 dictionary? The OS coming in english is no problem, but the dictionary being in english-only is a major problem for anyone typing in any other language... Ryrzy, being polish, might be having that problem himself <_<

Edit: I found the option that changes the languages, and it works all right. It's in Start\Settings\Personal\Input, tab "Input Method" then click button "Options".

A bug most of you probably already know is that the M2D build (the only I use) only supports the "Increasing ring" ring type, no matter what you choose. It doesn't ever vibrate. Also, for SMS and other events, it'll only use the standard system ringtones, you can't use those in the \My Documents\Ringtones folder as you can with the incoming calls.

I hope your Weather feature to working properly... and not "eating" fast the battery.

EDIT: Weather's NOT responding, m8! I've set my city... no updating.

That works great in my end, but I should warn you of something I took a while to figure out. Open Advanced Config and set your internet connection to disconnect after 1 or 2 minutes. It doesn't affect your browsing and is a huge battery saver!

Although, I CAN'T update my weather (M2D)! I found "Athenai", I set it as my city... and nothing happent, "unable to update" said!

(Also, "cooker", I loved your wallpaper m8, I DIDN'T like your "LockScreen" layout... These "boxes" weren't good lookin'...)

To set a timer to internet connection, as I said, use Advanced Config. It's a neat program provided with the M2D builds (don't know, could be in the others too). Look for Menu > More Settings > Connections. When you're done, don't click on "X" or "OK", click on Done, then Done, then leave program, no need to soft reset.

I'm not able to get weather updates tonight either. Perhaps the AccuWeather server is down or something.

Check the home screen weather, see if it works. I think it's independent from Accu-weather. That one works here.

I have taken this ROM and it is one of the best I have ever seen. Using the NORMAL version with Spb Mobile Shell.

I have one problem though: although all other applications work with the Internet - I sync with my Exchange server, have PockeTwit, Facebook, and many others, Internet Explorer doesn't want to work. Even Opera 10 works, but at the moment I try internet Explorer, I get a "Cannot connect" message from GPRS asking me to change my connection settings, and IE gives me an "Action cancelled" page. I am trying to access pages as simple as www.google.com .

Any ideas?

I'm using now (since last night) this 28230_M2DC_ENG rom, dear "Ryrzy"...

I have some issues, I hope "Ryrzy" to gimme some answers:

1) The M2DC's Weather doesn't working, dear "cooker". No matter what. I set my city (from the menu), I do have connection, I tap the Update button... I'm waiting a bit... nothing!

2) How can I have HOME SCREEN weather info (...when I solve the weather problem!) in M2DC's Home screen???

3) I've seen screens from other M2D i900 users, having one or TWO applications pannels, between the main M2D low-bar and the digital clock!!! I want EXACTLY the same, m8! How?

4) Although I found your rom layout (icons, wallpaper, etc.) very artistic and fine, I don't like much your AutoLock screen's layout & button... Is there any thread with skins for that???

5) I said I like the M2DC layout, but I want IN THE HOME SCREEN, everything to be transparent: Clock, pannels, etc... Any transparent skins for these? Because I can't see the wallpaper much.

6) Is there any possibility to have Today screen's plugins, running in M2D Home screen? I want ONLY ONE, a greek name day/birthday reminder, one of the best greek plugin around...

7) Where are exactly these wav files and the wallpaper you using? Directly inside the Windows' directory?

ps 23544 and 23107 is out and and the new 231.. series now support threaded email in build, but you probably knew that :D

Also, I've installed this M2D TodayPage v.0.3.0+EasyTLauncher v.1.1.0.2.cab (to have some extra Home screen panels) and there was error message - doesn't working.

You rom is one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL roms, but... is not too stable, m8. It's keep crashing all the time... Probably the current build, I don't know.

Sorry but the guy its doing everything to help us.If you can't solve simple things don't be angry.I had no problems with my omnia like crashing ,weather problems,internet connections and .....so probably the problems are or you or your phone.No one push you to install Ryrzy roms but for now his roms are the most fast and stable ones.Read around the forum.

For the weather at the home page try to setup also your Regional settings and see if its work (after it will do soft reset if not do it your self).

Where EXACTLY figure out I'm "ungry" with something, lad???

I'm just saying to the "cooker" (he's my favorite, from the visual part of his roms) that I almost didn't sleep from last night I "flashed" his M2DC rom and till now... I couldn't solve quite some issues!

And believe me, I've spend HOURS of searching the web and testing some fixing... but with no luck. And I'm not "rookie" with roms & "flashing", ask SECTOR & SHOKKA9, friends of mine, HOW MANY (over 60+ roms!!!) I've tested so far!!! Almost ALL SECTOR's and the 2/3 of SHOKKA9's, both 6.1s & 6.5s!!!

Since you DIDN'T have any problem with crashing, WEATHER (!) and internet connection, why don't you gimme a feedback, a hand, to help me... instead of yelling me for?

(OF COURSE he's making his best for us, as EVERY "cooker" around...)

Doesn't always work, but it's not related to the weather tab system, so if you have a "weather problem", this could still work and vice versa.

4) Consider turning off Smart Lock (Start > Settings > System > Smart Lock)

5) This is starting to get annoying... consider cooking a ROM perhaps? Anyway you can change the whole look on Start > Settings > Home

All right, now I'm testing build 28230 M2D.

Possible bugs:

• I never seen Bing work. Why cook it in?
  
• Vibration on calls still not working
  
• Bookmarks on the Internet tab don't work, I don't know, perhaps I have to configure that... I see it work on other releases, I'm not sure what I should do.
  
• Video calls seem to be disabled somehow.
  
  Questions for the experienced users:
  • Anyone knows how to make Easy Today Launcher work on Ryrzy's M2D?
    
  • Anyone knows of a good RAR program that works on Ryrzy's M2D? (Pocket RAR doesn't)
    
  • Is there a way to make vibration, Internet tab bookmarks and video calls work on this release?

Great rom i must say(M2D Build 28230) thanks master RYRZY :mellow: The only bug i had is : Hard to brows the internet when using the wifi B) Any of u Guys had this problems?? or had to do any setting before using wifi for browsing <_<

Guys the problem solved :( seem to be my internet modem problem..after off/on the modem and wireless router the connection ok now :D :D thanks for the great rom again cheers..
