Guest JamRowZ Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 I have also been having GPS problems. I flashed to CC20 for the GPS and never got a lock (with location on, using google maps). I chalked it up to it being a beta. I flashed to CF03 when it was released. I got a GPS fix after about 20 minutes outside with location on, google maps open. Once I got the fix, I tried to use it to drive to somewhere new with google maps and I lost it after about 10 minutes, never to get a GPS fix again. I've had CF03 for about a month now, maybe longer and I've spent up to an hour with clear views of the sky several times since trying to get a fix. When I use google maps now, I just get searching for satelites and my location within 700 meters which is useless for most things I'd do with GPS. I have turned GPS on and off (in google maps) and location on and off with resets in between to see if that fixed the problem. I even reflashed to CF03 and still can't get a fix. Do I have a bum phone? If so will verizon deal with this? (The phone is about 8 months old now so still under warrenty.) Are there other settings I should play with or other programs I should try? I also reinstalled a more recent version of google maps to see if that helped - it didn't. I really would like my GPS to work. Thanks for helping a newbie tinkerer.
