Guest dopeness Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 known bug: OK will not save sound settings. workaround: Press End Call key. This does not work for me. Actually, it did work once - but just for the phone ring. I tried to set up the mms, text alert rings and It would not take. then the phone ring option ceased to work as well.
Guest jmart518 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 To all those having trouble changing the ring tone, this is a work around solution. What you need to do is find the ring tone that you want to use and rename it to something that comes first on the drop down list. Example: Requiem_for_a_Dream is above Shadow_Business so what I did was rename Shadow_Business to aShadow_Business, that way it is first on the list and becomes default. Soft reset after making the changes. Kind of a pain in the @$$, but works. Hope this helps out!
Guest semmtexx Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Anyone know where I can find just a cab for the HTC keyboard? Thanks!
Guest Fecious Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 So there still is no solution for the Sounds/notifications issue? I'd really like to see a fix for that before I make the switch.

While this may temporarily work, it doesn't allow you to change your ringtone type, i.e., Ring + Vibrate, Vibrate, etc. Only option is Ring. Also, I cannot change my background either. Guest Majorair32 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Hey Bgill is HTC Task Manager not in 2.5 rom. If not would you mind cabbing it up for me. Thanks man love this latest rom its fast.
Guest indaduke Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I was able to change my background by viewing all photos using the pictures section of the home screen. I then browsed to the folder with the picture that I wanted and opened it up. Then you click menu and set as home background and it lets you crop the picture if needed to fit the screen. This seemed to work for me.
Guest s10camaro Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Did you remove mobile zip from last few roms for a reason? is there sometinhg better i can install or is it in cab form? Thanks

Guest arirang Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Has anyone else had this problem..... I switched my phone to vibrate last night and this morning when i try to switch it back to play sounds, the sounds play for everything except incoming calls. Incoming calls still make the phone vibrate with no ring. I checked my settings and it is set to ring. any fix/workaround to restore incoming ring? RESOLVED [via Post #2595]: w/regedit tool, change HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Sound to a value of \Windows\Ring-WindowsMobile .wma This is the same value that is in the SavedSound key. OBSERVATION: * issue re-occurs if set to Vibrate; therefore, this is a weak patch. * SavedSound value supercedes Sound, and defaults to .wma listed alphabetically first . * no need to replace Sound key value [*vibrate*] with .wma file. simply delete and it will used SavedSound value. you can Favourite the location with most regedit tools to save time of drilling through the registry. Guest indaduke Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 any fix/workaround to restore incoming ring? I got mine to start ringing again by changing the following registry.... HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Sound to a value of \Windows\Ring-WindowsMobile .wma This is the same value that is in the SavedSound key.
Guest BrianPick Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I got mine to start ringing again by changing the following registry.... HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\Sound to a value of \Windows\Ring-WindowsMobile .wma This is the same value that is in the SavedSound key. To that Point, I will wager that, if you change the value to \Windows\Whateverringyouwnat.wma (provided the desired file is in that location), it will change your ring if you are having trouble getting a new ringtone to stick. The is just a guess but I'll bet this is the value that is manipulated when you changes rings with the GUI.
Guest cheifkeiff Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Any body having issues using the 6.5 widgets now all I see is a white screen after installing the engine and any widget?
Guest tampaboy1984 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Anybody that is having trouble changing your background. I put my BG image in the My Device\My Documents\My Pictures folder. Then go to Pictures on Titanium and it should showup, click to open it, then hit Menu, then Set As Home Background and there you go! No editing files in Windows or anything. Are the HTC DLLs in 2.5? You can also just change one of your hard keys to open HTC. Showcase_1.0.1b.cab Edited September 16, 2009 by Mastergreeny
Guest midiwriter Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Did you remove mobile zip from last few roms for a reason? is there sometinhg better i can install or is it in cab form? Thanks I've never used mobile zip but this has worked great for me, not sure if it suits your needs but it may: EDIT--------this may not work with newer builds of WM...sorry.pocketrar380.exe Edited September 16, 2009 by midiwriter
Guest midiwriter Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 While this may temporarily work, it doesn't allow you to change your ringtone type, i.e., Ring + Vibrate, Vibrate, etc. Only option is Ring. This ROM is lightning fast and otherwise stable...for now i can live with default sounds...they work fine as-is.
