Guest bga7x Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Bgill, I have your 1.3 M2D rom loaded, and was wondering if the version of M2D in 1.4 has been updated. If not, is there any way to independently update the M2D? Thanks! i use 19b its the most stable out in my opinion
Guest aeroclown Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) Is there a way to replace the contact system and dialer with P/honex or icontact and idialer so that if you hit the contact softkey or access the contacts in the phone it uses icontact or Phon/ex instead of the default dialer and contact manager ? Guest misanthrowup Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 i use 19b its the most stable out in my opinion I don't doubt that... just that somewhere else here there was a post talking about modifying the "operator" tab to make another launcher menu. The program used was "M2D operatorsettings0.4.cab", but unfortunately it only works with M2D versions 20 and above. The newer versions also look like they add other features, although I guess I would trade slickness for stability... thanks again!

I was just trying to get it sorted out before making a purchase. I have bought few other apps and just found they didn't fit after I had them. But you have answered my question good enough :) This might be a handy addition for you http://www.fantasticbytes.com/products/softkeymanager If you find a need for it and if it works in WM 6.5 It is a Soft Key editor Edited August 2, 2009 by aeroclown

I decided to back up everything and then I formatted everything Phone ,My Storage, and Storage Card. Now it runs alot better still freezes here and there but now it does once every day or two which is down from 3-5 a day.

Guest bga7x Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 v1.4.1 is uploading a few things before you Flash! XDA_UC Instructions!!! Before you flash this Rom, you need to set up a few things on your phone! In your Storage Card(not My Storage) you need to set up a folder called XDA_UC. In this folder you can put any .cabs files that you load to Device Memory, IE: Titanium Plugins, SRS WOW....etc. in that folder you need to create a a sub folder called SD, put any .cab files that you install to "My Storage" or your "Storage card". What XDA_UC will do is after you flash it will install those .cabs for you so you can just look at you phone and smile as all the work is done for you! Cabs that you put in the SD folder will need your attention as it will ask where you want them to be installed. You can do so much more with this tool! but this is a good start for you! here is the Link to read more about it!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3611692 You no longer have to tap start to finish booting, after Flash you will se XDA_UC pop up with a count down you can either tap it or let the timer count down!! after that Soft reset if needed, to finalize the instalation of your cabs!! I hope you all enjoy this!! it will cut down the time after you flash until you are up and running!! so please set up your phone BEFORE you flash! some other things added! XDA_UC Showcase Task Manager Mapped to the menu hardware button(the button on the right side of your phone, just push it to launch the task manager) New Samsung Dialer skin, with black Phone book skin(is on by default)Thanks to Tech Master for porting this to the i910 and to Krazy Radd for the files New Windows Media Skin(thanks Krazy Radd) Screen shots also up!
Guest joeldanganan Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) Â where can I get the cab for black skin dialer? Â Edited August 2, 2009 by joeldanganan
Guest bga7x Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 V1.4.1 Is now Online!!!! PLEASE READ THE RELEASE NOTES!!!!!! :) Bed Time For Me!!! Thank you to all My Testers!!!! And Techmaster for staying up late with me! lol
Guest wyzazz Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Glad you incorperated XDA_UC in to your latest build, I'll have to try that out on Monday! As an offshoot to that, does anyone know if it's possible to setup your Email/Messaging settings with XDA_UC? Or possibly make a .cab file with those settings in there? That way upon reflashing (as most of us that follow this thread often do :) ), there is really nothing to setup? Again bgill, great job on these roms! Thanks for all the hard work!!!

Guest bearhntr Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 (edited) BGill, I downloaded and installed your 1.4 M2D ROM yesterday and installed it. I was little shocked when it came up with the TITANIUM interface - thought at first I had the wrong ROM. Simply changed it from the TODAY SETTINGS. I love the M2D interface, but I noticed yesterday that my phone was very SLOW to respond in a lot of apps. I was trying to TEXT and I would hit letter and then look at the screen to see they were not there. I would start to re-type then and notice I had duplicates. Very annoying. I have not loaded anything on the phone yet other than my contacts (195 of them), and my calendar entries (290 of them). Why would it be doing this. I have soft-reset it or hard-reset it at least 5 times. Does not seem to help. How do you put things onto the HONNEYCOMB start menu? I got your files for the 3x start menu...THANK YOU. As I had asked in an earlier question about the calculator - it is not on the START MENU. It is on the ALL PROGRAMS menu, but not the start menu. Also I noticed that the FLASHLIGHT button was gone from the START MENU. That has to be one of the kewlest things about this phone. How do you access it (what .EXE) do you use to make a button if I wanted one? Glad I saved the CARBON FIBER wallpaper from the first CF03 ROM I downloaded of yours...I had the METAL SPLAT one. It is kewl looking and all, just looks horrible behind all the other stuff. Ths ROM works, and I was watching a video yesterday about a new version of WM65 that removes the TABS in things like SETTINGS etc and has a scrolling app/tab bar at the top. It looked kewl. When do you think that one will be incorporated? KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK...Your ROMS are the best. *BH* Edited August 2, 2009 by bearhntr
