one small question.. i think it's 6.5 related more so than the ROM, but maybe someone can help me out. i installed 1.4.2 of the standard (non m2d) rom. when i go to the "app shortcut" panel, im able to add my own shortcuts to a few apps, but there is no icon associated by default, just a red X. when i go to the edit menu to try and add my own icon, there's none in the install folder. do i have to go dig around the \windows directory to find the icons? or where are they normally?

Yes - you need to find .png files. I found the ones I wanted in the \windows directory. Some are located in the individual app directories. This panel helps speed up navigation.

this sucks, theres like 1000 png files in the windows directory, and they're not all named logically (i.e. filename.png). i can see the icons in the start menu, but i have no idea where the corresponding png file resides. any thoughts?

Ok this isn't cool. I just upgraded to 1.4.2 at 1am last night. Now I wake up to find that 1.5 is out? Your killing me man.

Hey BGill, have you seen the new version of M2D out on the XDA site? I was wondering if you knew anything about it and if it would potentially work on the omnia.

do me a favor pull you battery then put it back in then turn on you phone and tell me if you see your wifi in the comm manager panel on the today screen

For those seeing this issue in 1.5, the battery pull solved this for me.

Bgill: Question sir, I upgraded to 1.5 this afternoon. I noticed in both 1.4.2 and 1.5 that the call log button in the dialer is grey'ed out. You can't access the call log to delete your recent calls without going into the call log from the today screen. Is there a way to map that button out?? Thank you!!!

It's not necessary but I would create the folders (even if you don't put any cabs in them) to prevent any unforseen errors

There will be no errors. If it's not there it will just finish and ask you to reset. :)

you guys arer going about it the wrong way dont find icons on your phone that will take forever what you need to do is find a nice icon pack put them on your storage card the add them through Cluancher

yeah make a cab of all the files you want replaced and put the in your folder! Im stilll learning XDA_UC along with you guys!! Just remember these roms I make are the ones i use on my Phone, i just choose to share them with you guys!!!

ok i know what the problem is this dialer was built for a i900 that button grayed out is not for the call log its for a video call which we dont have so the only solution is to load a i910 samsung dialer. or you can map a hardware key so with a push of a button you can pull up the call log! go to start/settings/personal/buttons for that option. i have it maped to my camera button, so i push my camera button and my call log comes up!prob. not what you were looking for, but those are the only option i can give you! Id rather do that then have to load that ugly tan samsung dialer
