ahhh so editing the StartMenu_Selection.png changes the selection bar. well that just makes too much sense

In the M2d rom the browser launch button in the web tab doesn't do anything. Any idea how to fix this? Looked at chome editor but the Google URL is already programmed

Well I looked at the OPERA heading in Chome I think this is the wrong place to look for this, but on the browser tab in M2D www.omniarom.com is showing, but when the button is pressed nothing happens. Any thought?

Hi Bgill thanks. I checked my registry and those keys are set.

I think the problem was, when I looked at M2DC under 'internet' nothing was set (the input field was blank), and when 'default' is pressed it clears the entry here. I manually added a link to \Windows\Opera9.exe and now it works.

Ok so the part that I'm lost on is the XDA_UC folder....

I read put it in Storage just not My Storage.

Does this mean make a folder in the same location as the Windows folder in the Local Memory (the 93MB SD Card)?

Or in better terms, the My Device section under File Explorer?

Also, are there any files to even put in this XDA_UC folder on a fresh burn?

I'm very new to all this ROM modifying stuff, but I did read that it'd make re-flashing a whole hell of a lot faster when transferring over your old settings and stuff from what I understand.

I'd really appreciate a TIIINY bit more explanation if at all possible :). I tried reading the XDA forum, and it wasn't that self-explanatory, at least not to me ;).

I've enjoyed this ROM since I've been trying it. I am currently on the 1.3 build though until I figure out how this XDA stuff works.

Hey Bgill you gave me a HTC Album cab a while back and I love having that in the normal rom, but is there a way to have it open to your \My Storage\DCIM\100SSCAM Folder instead of the camera shots folder. I looked in registy and I have the favorite folder set to that but everytime you open it's back to the same camera shots folder. Is there something that can be added to reg to fix that let me know if anyone knows of anything. Thanks this 1.5 rom is like a rock no joke I havent had a lock up or a soft reset since i flashed. This might be the keeper. Also has anything devloped with the 1% batt dll is it still a batt hog?

Since i use my corporate exchange e-mail a lot, I open word and excel files sometimes, so i prefer to have office included.

I use Office everyday to check things for my work, but I wouldn't have an issue installing it later. Now, I just gotta find where you posted that cab earlier :)

Very nice!!! what you need to do is delete StartMenu_hexagon_Active.png using resco or what every you use!!! That will take the red away! What would be even better is to modify that so it will fit to that grid scene so the active app will be highlighted!

I'm having trouble deleting "StartMenu_hexagon_Active.png" and "StartMenu_Hexagon_inctive.png" (the capitalization inconsistencies are the way the files are named in my ROM). I can get rid of them with Resco explorer but they then reappear when I soft reset. Maybe I need to replace the files with empty .png containers? Or maybe there is a registry setting that turns off the hexagons? Thanks!

I went most the day without a lock up until this evening when it locked up on me twice within about 20 minutes. If I get some time I may try out the M2D ROM and see if it locks up. If all else fails I'll just move back to 6.1 because it rarely locked up on me.

Is there any erroring logging software or built in logging that might shed light on what causes the lockups?

Most of the error logging that might have been available i believe is being removed when the rom is cooked (correct me if i'm wrong here). Though, mostly you have to realize there are two problems with these roms. 1) these are not full release version of 6.5, in fact 23017 is a fairly recent build (like a few day's old). 2) you have to keep in mind that these are being released to testers for the HTC, not the Omnia. Chef's like Bgill55 are kind enough to work their magic and make these builds work for us, but there is to be expected some issues.

As a tester I am more willing to deal with the issue that may or may not arise from using unreleased software, but it's perfectly understandable that not everyone is, or able to (may be using your phone in conjunciton with critical work data, etc...) So if you fall into this line, don't feel bad, but 6.1 is probably a more stable solution. At the very least try the M2D version which as i've stated does seem be more stable.

I defiantly understand that these ROMs are very beta in nature and I am in no way upset when it crashes. I am just looking for ways to problem solve the crash and possibly help make the overall ROM more stable. And my biggest inquiry is still how many others experience the same crash behavior on wake up, is is localized to me or is a more general population experiencing it as well.

I don't use it at all. I just use the notepad.
