This has been covered Multiple times, There is no fix it is part of the new builds and there is nothing the chefs can do about it!!! Read a couple pages back.

I'm aware of that...I should have asked if it's being addressed by Microsoft...I know the chefs have nothing to do with this.

Not sure if other phones have the same issue with these builds if its just on the Omnia then I'm not sure if they are aware of it yet.

Is the problem only with the Samsung keyboard or is it affecting other keyboards like Finger Keyboard and what not?

I installed a cab for the cc20 keyboard and it made the sluggishness go away. Adryn cooked shokka's keyboard into one of his ROM's and made the cab incase anyone wanted the original back in.

I always use FingerKeyboard, and maybe it's just me being typing challenged, but I haven't really noticed a whole lot of sluggishness on it. I definitely noticed it using the default keyboard. I personally don't like the word suggestion features, and have been loving FingerKeyboard since I started using it at the 2.1 release. I'm currently on the 1.7 release without M2D. I do have one question, and again, maybe I'm just being technically challenged today. I can't seem to find ImSelect on this build. Loving your work, BGill - KEEP IT UP!!!

^ Yea the word suggestion is what pissed me off to the point of using a keyboard that omits this 'feature'. I like fkb alot. The macro feature is really handy, not having to type out your email address in webpages is nice. Just hold the key down and youre done. Saves alot of time.

Keep up the good work mr. Gill. Your work and the time spent doing it is greatly appreciated :D. I see you reverted back to default 'ok buttons' in the recent release. I really like the sleek look with the simple background. I thought some of the other images you chose were a little too distracting, visually. These roms make me love the phone i have. Out of the box the omnia was very 'meh' in almost every aspect.

If 3rd and 4th party individuals can make a phone this great, it really makes you wonder what kind of apes samsung has on payroll. I wish mobile phones got official updates rather than forcing consumers to keep 'upgrading' hardware simply to get added feature benefits. I guess thats how they make money...

I am having a problem with opera not zooming on a double tap. I saw that Chimp had the same issue. Any ideas?

Once again that's a bug with the build nothing we can do.

It will work you just need to double tap slower.

I don't believe it is a keyboard issue at all but rather a screen input issue in general: I was playing Spore, and inputting high scores was next to impossible, and if you're not familiar with Spore, you simply move a little creature around on your screen and eat random objects...while playing, the creature stops responding every 10-20 seconds requiring you to lift the stylus a few seconds and reapply. This ONLY happens on these new builds; I am back on 1.5lite and the issue is completely gone.

So, I think we should not focus on individual keyboards malfunctioning but on screen taps in general.

Ok, so Bgill if in 2.0 the keyboard is still a bit laggy do you think you could just throw in the cab from the CC20. Or have it as a seperate dwnload or something, cuz that would be awesome.. thx

the screen lag whatever it's cause is the only thing keeping me from upgrading to the 6.5.1 style ROMs too much texting and tetris for screen lag! :D

Bgill- Amazing work! still using all the black skinned stuff you cabbed up off the Russian ROM too.

Hey BGill, I gotta say the new build looks amazing! I'm glad you got rid of the crazy X's and O's, and the honeycomb looks a lot more crisp. I keep my omnia as plain as possible, no flashy stuff... just give me a great build that i can use 90% of the time w/o a stylus and I flash away! I always change the background to my pure black png (simple, yet makes it look clean), load in some guy's (forgot his name, from xda) start menu icons, and have my fav cabs loaded... I need to start checking out sashimi now that school is out. Anyway, keep up the great work, I love your rom's (I switch back and forth between you and Adryn), cheking you post every day to see if theres a new "semi-more stable" version out. My hat is off to you, master chef!

Does anyone know if there is a cab out there for the slide lock like on the WM6.5 builds? I have tried s2u2 but don't need all of the features. I am running the stock omnia build right now (new phone with the cf03) and I want to use it for a while with the base build. Thanks...

He said that the build he was using for 2.0 was too buggy. He's working on something else though so stay tuned...

1.7 is pretty awesome, give it a try until 2.0 is out. I'm not using it because PIE in this build is VERY buggy and i personally don't like Opera. If you use opera, you'll love 1.7.

Why don't you try skyfire, that's what I use.
