Guest bga7x Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Mine did that too when when it rebooted after it was flashed. A soft reset allowed it to boot up completely though. does no one read the release notes anymore?? taken from the first post!!! After you guys flash this rom it will stop on the start up screen this is because i have bypassed the welcome and calibration screen, its stupid and i don't like it lol. all you have to do is hit start and you are good to go! I mean its only like 3 lines down! :D
Guest vash8806 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 hahahaha...so I love ur roms..but 1.7-1.9 are lacking in 2 areas..thats it... 1. Keyboard lag (everyone's stated it) some say its in all of your roms..but I KNOW it used to be a lot faster..is there any way I can go back to it?! This slow typing is killing me... 2. Screen rotation glitches...(metioned earlier as well) I found a temporary fix to this..Since I have flotanium....I simply go to the settings on the Cdigiclock panel...[look up forms..you'll find em..badass] and "refresh cHome" and it takes care of the screen glitch....As far as why it occurs...ur the guru... im just here to make your roms better by giving you a hard time.... :D Love the big fonts.hahaha.. its finally a touch phone... Wished the menus could be customized a little..they still look WM ugly..hahaha... Good luck & thanks. W/o you guys, my phone would be a piece of s***.
Guest tedkord Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) Potential issue, not sure. I flashed your v1.9 yesterday, and got everything setup the way I like it (MS3, my other apps, etc...). This includes setting HTC TaskManager to close apps with the X button. But it doesn't. The X is now located on the bottom bar with this newest build of WM, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. All I know is, when I go to SPB task manager, all my apps are still loaded. Anyway, it's just as possible that I'm doing something wrong, but I can't for the life of me figure what. (Apologies if this has been covered - I'm at work and have to keep the internet to a minimum, so I can't browse the thread) Edited August 25, 2009 by tedkord

(Apologies if this has been covered - I'm at work and have to keep the internet to a minimum, so I can't browse the thread) these 3rd party apps are all design to have the x button up top until they catch up with these new builds there is nothing i can do. I know Showcase is working on a fix for his task manager. 23017 is stable go back to that rom its 1.5.1. that goes for you too vash8806. The Lag in the keyboard has nothing to do with me our my roms its the new build, I have a fix but the buttons on the bottom get messed up. its using an older Gwes.exe from an older build. I wont release this because its going backwards and I have already stated i will not work backwards. I will keep releaseing these beta builds cause I like too! if you guys dont like where this is headed go back to an older build that suits you better! case closed!!!!!!!! in my book!
Guest hexxor Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Just thought i'll comment, your roms are looking great mate! i would use the new one but i can't stand the lag while using the phonepad and what have. Nice work either way! :D
Guest necosino Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Use a 3rd party keyboard; there's no lag. If you're using SPB MS3, just set a button to bring up [Task Manager], this will bring up SPB's task manager..
Guest WolfpackInCO Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Is there a registry hack to disable the Contacts button on the home screen from switching to "Notifications" when I get a new VM/email/etc. Seeing as Titanium already shows me those alerts, I'd like to avoid always having to dismiss these notifications. Thoughts?
Guest Bomama94 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Had the same issue a few weeks back. Not sure what caused my issue, but then something worse happened. I was no longer able to flash to 6.5 ever no matter what rom I used. Couldn't figure it out and I ask for help with no resolution. I had to send back my Omnia and Verizon replaced it because I told them the "My Storage" was not coming up. They replace Omnias with no questions asked if you tell them that. Hopefully you don't get the same problem. Hey do you mean that you told verizon that when you hooked in into a computer via usb "My Storage" wasn't coming up? And was this true or did you just bs and pull it off haha?

Guest mamuco Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 It's been removed, the icons still there though. you can change icon size and text size however (i didn't like how big everything was so i made it smaller.) How can one change the icon size please? registry? Advanced Configuration? Thanks

Guest necosino Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Anybody have any insight why wunderradio shuts down unexpectedly on some stations. It works fine on one of the local stations where i'm at but not for bbc 1 and many others. Some of these stations sometimes cause the app to open up the browser so maybe the problem has something to do with that? I've used wunderradio on blazingwolfs and cc20 roms and it worked flawlessly. If anyone can download the demo and try to see if it works for them let me know. Thanks! Late reply, but I just tested this too, and experienced the same thing.. Very strange..
Guest bicycleray Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Hey do you mean that you told verizon that when you hooked in into a computer via usb "My Storage" wasn't coming up? And was this true or did you just bs and pull it off haha? Well I really did have an Omnia that no longer showed the "My Storage" at any time, just the SD card. And you you hook up to a pc all you got was the SD card. I had an Omnia replaced for that. This last time I don't know what happened but 6.5 would not run at all (I could though use the build and set my Today Screen to the standard view and use the phone that way) but I was not having that. So I used the same excuse and got another Omnia that has no issues!
Guest Grassguy Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) Been using 1.9 since you released it. WOW! It is very stable! For those of you that use the screen rotation on automatic, I made a shortcut of CHome Refresh.exe in \Program Files\CHomeEditor to \Windows\Start Menu\ and put it as the camera button, that way if Chome got funk-ti-fied, i can just press the camera button and all is well. I'm having absolutly no lag with this ROM BTW. Even told my wife that I wouldn't be flashing for a while! Well...unless...I hear a bugfix edition of 1.9 is in the works! EDIT: OK, one issue with 1.9 for me personally, PIE is still buggy. I hate the new zoom feature. I don't know what MS is thinking, the PIE build that was in 1.6 was perfect. I just did 1 reg edit and it was my favorite browser. I'm using Opera 9.7 right now and it's ok, but i miss the previous builds of PIE. Edited August 25, 2009 by Grassguy
Guest CanonBaller Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) Late reply, but I just tested this too, and experienced the same thing.. Very strange.. Hmm so i rolled back to the official cf30 rom and it works fine again. I guess there's something in Bgill55's rom that's crashing the program. I'm going to look into getting some more info on the streams that crash. Edited August 25, 2009 by CanonBaller
Guest pallen Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 (edited) I just flashed 1.9 - I'm liking the new OS stuff in principle, it still feels unpolished yet. Hopefully MS will continue to improve things. I think they are on the right track though. I still keep tapping the top-right of the screen to close apps. I've been doing this since my first Palm-Sized PC. I am glad to see the start button return to the bottom like the original palm-sized PCs had. I few issues 1. I'm getting the thin band of goofed-up graphics on the lock screen and other screens in SPB MS. Now my lock screen is completely black - not showing the wallpaper I set in the home settings. Lock screen background should be the same wallpaper as other screenshots below. See bottom of the screen 2. SPB mobile shell uses colors from the OS tsk theme to color various elements. Some of the bottom bars are a very unattractive purple now. Did I see that we cant use old 6.5 tsk themes in these newer versions? Is there another way to change colors in SPB Mobile Shell? I used the included spb tool and it flashed to the new color, then right back to the OS color. Thanks for the work cooking these - its awesome having access to see what MS is working on. Thanks for making these things available! Edited August 25, 2009 by pallen
Guest Majorair32 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Bgill Nice work on the 1.9 I havent been on in a while since I was happy with 1.5. I just tried out 1.9 this morning looks very promising what MS is trying to do with the buttons and what not. I went back to 1.5.1 just becuase there are some apps that I use that have some issues with the buttons on the bottom. Keep up the good work though its looking promising for the future.
Guest dah97765 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I love it when I am away for a few days and come back... and there is another awesome update. Downloading 1.9 now. :] Thanks again, Bgill :D
Guest Terminalx Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Hmm so i rolled back to the official cf03 rom and it works fine again. I guess there's something in Bgill55's rom that's crashing the program. I'm going to look into getting some more info on the streams that crash. Its not Bgill's ROM that is causing it, CF03 is Winmo 6.1 any of the flashes are Winmo 6.5 which is still in beta and with the newer builds its breaking existing programs because they are changing things in it. Whenever 7 comes out I am betting its going to break everything again.
