Guest rndchef Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) BGill I'm in Love with this latest ROM. Now that the touch screen lag fix has been discovered it's nearly perfect. I do have one MINOR problem that I believe is similar to the Lockscreen issue and hoped there would be a simple fix. It may be hard to explain but I'll give it a shot. It only involves Mobile Shell 3, and only when MS3 is active. The problem is that it almost seems like MS3 isn't at the bottom of the screen. When I first open MS3 it's also as though it's not being skinned at the bottom. When I open any program and then close it I just get a black line at the bottom. I know this makes NO sense but hopefully teh pictures will help clear things up. This is a SMALL problem and certainly one I can live with. The only reason I bring it up is because I thought it may be a similar fix to the ScreenLock issues. I can tell you that it's only been present on the last 2 ROMs (1.9 & 2.1) and was not present in 1.8. Either way thank you for ALL your time and work. And I totally understand if you've got bigger things on your plate right now than to work on a fix for an issue one person is having that you aren't able to replicate yourself. I have the identical issue as well. It goes away after opening a program and returning to the Lifestyle or Pro Screen. I am using Blazzing Wolf's 23034 ROM and its present there with MS3 as well. It something to do with the new ROM with the new soft buttons. BW put out a fix for the Lock Screen as well to "patch the strip" at the bottom but it doesn't take care of it in MS3. I love the new ROM and placement of OK and Menu so I live with it until one of these geniuses fix it. Edited August 28, 2009 by rndchef

I dont use MS3 so im not sure what to edit you might want to hit up BW or check the MS3 forums to see if anyone is working on it

Guest bicycleray Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 FloTanium is sweet, this is the first time Im using it and I like it alot. I still seem to use the Today screen more but having a quick button so I can use Audio Manager and the Picture display is awesome. Keep up the good work!

Guest barnr Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Love the cutesy icons in M2D 2.0. :D One issue...I can't see the people's names under the People tab. Can someone show me how to change the font color to white or something lighter so that it shows up against the black background? Or better yet, you do it and I'll tell you thanks a bunch!
Guest semmtexx Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Hey how much memory after a clean flash on this new 2.1 rom?
Guest Oscar9 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Hey how much memory after a clean flash on this new 2.1 rom? Your welcome Bgill! And semmtexx, I loaded a few things to device mem and right now it reads "in use: 46.02" so im thinking that after a flash it should be right under 40mb.
Guest Chimp Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Bgill: AWESOME ROM for 2.1! Seems really stable to me... :D One thing I notice, though, is that my EVDO icon on the top never lights up. I see on some of the screen shots that it should look like a green network icon, but my is always dark/black. And my connection speeds are fast so I assume I am on EVDO (I was before). Any reason why the icon never lights up? /Chimp
Guest semmtexx Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 K reason I ask is that I am using the latest version of the Pointsense theme on pointui. It was just released today and it is sick. I likke Bgill's Roms but point ui uses ALOT of memory. I want to have the most memory out of a ROM. I'd rather stick with Bgills (Thats all ive been using). I'm currently on Bgills 1.7 for stability. I was wondering more how much program memory is left on this 2.1 rom. Oh and seriously check out the new V of pointsense.
Guest bga7x Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Hey how much memory after a clean flash on this new 2.1 rom? which rom? M2D rom there is about 85mb free and non M2D is about 94mb free Im thinking about removing office again!! and google maps and let you guys install it to "my Storage"! to save room any thoughts?

Guest necosino Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I think it's safe to take office out, especially if you have notepad in. I recently switched to PointUI too, but haven't tried the Sense Theme (that Semmtex is referring to) and it really does run a LOT smoother and faster, and I actually do prefer it to MS3..
Guest semmtexx Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 thats hot!!! Dude! You wouldn't believe how sleek this thing is. The new, larger popup menu that BlueOcean added to the theme pretty much makes this thing complete. I completely and totally reccomend it! I like it because it can really mask winmo in alot of ways and just works really well. Here is a pic of mine!! Oh and the popup menu times out and recesses as well! Guest paribr Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I have a couple m2d themes that I like to use but they do not load properly with the new version. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done to the m2d themes to make them work with this new build?
Guest pallen Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 wow. tough decisioin. 2.1 Flotanium is setup and working great with MS3 (except for the color change issue), but I really want to try the new M2D. :D
Guest Grassguy Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Bgill, I don't think you tire of hearing this but, WOW! Awesome ROM!
Guest argenys Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I say drop Office but keep Google Maps. And is there a way to remove the hexagon shape around the icons in the start menu?
Guest hannibal81168 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 which rom? As long as you have the cab and it can be installed to my storage i agree. It would be cool if it could be cooked-in where those prgoams that didn't have to install to device memory would install in my storage.
Guest maxtcee Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) why is it that everytime i try to change themes the phone just freezes up also on m2d v2 can you change themes cause when i try m2d doesnt load back up its like on all these new builds once i try to change a theme the whole phone messes up and then i have to either reflash or hard reset helppppppppppppppppppppp Edited August 28, 2009 by maxtcee
