BGill... my only request with this rom is that you bring back the alarm notification on the home screen in m2d 2.1. As it is now it doesn't tell you when the next alarm is going to be. Previous roms you were able to tell right under the time when the next alarm was going to go off or if the alarm was off all together. I tried going into m2dc to see if I could change the options there for homexml, but to no avail. Other than that I am SOOOOOO in love w/ this ROM !!!!

I thought at first I was having download issues because of my VZW connection but it seems to be the 4shared site. Whenever I try to download your roms the download says that its completed after only downloading for a minute or two. Its also only downloading at 30kB/s as opposed to 60-70kB/s that I get with other sites. Anyone else having problems? I was able to download v1.9 a couple days ago after the above problems occurred a couple times (it finally finished the download completely after a few tries) but I have tried downloading v2.1 several times and I'm not getting any luck.

Well I love this new ROM but am finding the new M2D 2.x way too buggy so here's what I did and it's working great:

Just install bgill's latest 2.1 from 1st post, then download M2D v19b and install over the top, then enable TouchFlo in Today settings. Get it here:

Then install M2DC to configure it:

I don't think M2d 2.0 was tested enough and I found several bugs already like the before mentioned distortion on some screens, the internet widget wasn't configurable, and the settings tab was seriously malfunctioning, and as mentioned before scrolling is WAY off. This will also launch Opera as your default browser without any additional changes.

Other than the M2D problems your latest ROM is amazing! Thanks for all the hard work.

I have followed your suggestion and downloaded 1.9b and it works nicely. But is there a way to add the switch option like Bgill's rom had?

You're welcome. I've not looked into installing TFDetacher since I only stick with M2D....now i have a stable version of M2D AND bgill's awesome customizations! I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to install TFDetacher with a little research.

Hey Bgill I can't get TouchFlo to change the Browser. I went into M2DC change the internet browser path to \Windows\Opera9.exe. But for some reason when it still opens I.E. instead of Opera. The reason I don't want to use I.E. because its not working I keep getting a HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden. But Opera works.

im going through reg settings to see if i can change that for you!!!

Hey Bgill,

I noticed on 2.1 that when I receive a phone call with the screen lock turned on, the caller ID pictures are coming up twisted and distorted. It happened with past versions too before and after the fix you were working on...

Otherwise, yet another piece of art!!! Nice job!

Awesome ROM!!! Thanks for all your work on this one (v2.1)!!! :angry:

I do have two questions for you or anyone that can help. When I enable the "advised" phone skin the scroll bar on the right covers the last digit and a-half. When I go back to the original (black) phone skin the phone screen does not lock when on a call. I have checked my phone settings and the touch dialer lock is set at two seconds.

My other question. When using Opera, the task bar activates when I touch below in the website bar. Is there a setting (registry hack) for this one? I am using Opera 9.7 beta.

Please help the needy :D

No disrespect to you Bgill, your 2.1 rom with out M2D is the rom I will currently stick with. This whole trial and error thing is only helping understand what I am looking for. I have in fact found M2D more a step backwards compared to Titanium, even the pointui which i added to my phone briefly was not all that great.

Keep up the great work, and remember to bring world piece is by cooking 1 rom at a time!

As always bgill, great ROM. I am having a couple issues. Not sure if it's ROM or WM build issues.

First, on an occasion when i SR my phone it will ask me to format my storage card several times. I SR again and it's fine... 

Secondly, when changing the data connection to "As the modem through USB" i get this error "The file 'SWMC' cannot be opened"... and QPST cannot recognize my phone.

change the Web Browser type from 2 to 1 this will set opera as the defualt web broser in the new M2D. If havent already right aove the is the browser path make sure it reads: OperaEXEFile

Hey Bgill, I'm still having this problem with the fact that my EVDO icon on the top never lights up. I see on some of the screen shots that it should look like a green network icon, but my is always dark/black. And my connection speeds are fast so I assume I am on EVDO (I was before).

Any reason why the icon never lights up? Anyone else see this?

Oh i don't need it for internet sharing... I need that to re-program the Qualcomm chip with QPST, i've been working on some things with a few others to try and get aGPS working properly for 3rd party apps. You can see what i mean here. verizon-i910-omnia-agps-unlock-effort/
