Thanks Bgill for your great ROM's. Tried 2.4, and Blisstanium, both great

Now on Flotanium 2.4.1, with the Bliss theme.

My question is if Office is included in Flotanium 2.4.1 or not?

Got the panel on the today screen, but none of the Office programs start up.

Get this error "The file 'pword' cannot be opened. Either is not signed with a

trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found..."

Already hard reset and get the same error. Thanks again for the help.

Bgill or anyone who might know, is it possible to save/copy something so my panels can be easily changed back to the way I like them. Or do you have to use CHomeEditor everytime and manually change it?

Thanks

Tom

yea, i was also looking for a way to make a cab that would set up the panels after flash. i made a few cabs for other customizations but couldn't find any info on how panels are setup by the registry... any help would be awesome...

Anyone else having a problem flashing to either base or Bliss 2.4.1 ROM? I've been flashing the same exact way for months on Adrenylen's ROMs and used that same procedure on 2.3 as well with no issues. Set USB to Mass Storage in Win MO, uncheck allow USB connection in ActiveSync, Flash, phone normally hangs first boot-up so I Soft-Reset and that was usually it.

On 2.4.1, it hung as usual on first boot, but not it hung during start-up on between 3-5 soft resets. Especially on the XDA_UC auto installer step. I don't have an SD expansion card yet so maybe that's related? Not sure... Also, it seemed to work better after unplugging the USB cable but I still had to restart more that once...

Just getting into 2.4.1 now...2.3 had pretty rough scrolling in Opera and moving things around like e.g. cards in Solitaire so I hope this release from M$ fixes those issues. I think I like the icons at bottom now. I HATE not having a way to get task manager on Titanium, and also having to shut down apps manually now (Resco Task Man issue I think?)!

Bill - just one comment so far -- the default themes suck, except for Blue Carbon one which I think you might have left in from 2.3 as the Bliss ROM doesn't have that in it. I liked Black Carbon the best, but will make due with Blue. About the designer themes M$ is so proud of -- they are "ok" on the Titanium home screen, but make text of apps, etc. on the other Start/Config screens unreadable (white text on a light grey or wild back ground is not a good combo).

1) So, we can or cannot use other WinMO 6.5 themes with these new ROM versions where icons are relocated to the bottom?

2) If we try a different theme on your Bliss 2.4.1 build, is there a way to get back to Bliss? I see the files under the My Themes folder, but the Today config screen doesn't list it as a theme you can choose. I can't even pick e.g. Classic Blue then add the Bliss background back manually as the background files under My Themes won't show for some reason when selecting a background.

3) The Classic Blue theme on the Bliss 2.4.1 build -- what the heck does't it look like its tiling the background image? Am sure this is a M$ thing, but good grief....

Keep up the good work Bill - these are great, and I'm sure you must be putting a ton of effort into it. I'm trying to get off of M2D and onto Titanium, and these latest more finger friendly releases from M$ are helping. Now if they could just have an favorite app launch and contact screen integrated into Titanium that is more like M2D I would be very happy indeed. I read on XDA we may get something like that soon....

It was discussed just a couple pages back...just tap on the upper left corner of your boot-up screen and you will be up and running right away! :) XDA will continue to do its thing in the background even without an expansion card present...

Bgill this is the best ROM yet! Love all the new little changes to buttons, scroll bars, check boxes, etc.!

I did have issues when switching themes in Windows....I lost all my buttons at the bottom and had to reflash...I know this was already mentioned but i was feeling daring.

Thx for the mirrors! 4shared is back up again.

Loving the blisstanium theme. Anyone know where to get more panels for titanium? Also I see a few panels in cHome that are not enabled by default, but when I enable them and restart nothing changes. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

is there any such cab or app or skin or whatever that basically leaves the basic WM home screen in tact, but adds a permanent larger clock off to the side or something? i hate when i scroll away from the clock and at a quick glance i cant see the time.

also, is there a cab or a reg edit or soemthing that i can go back to the 3 line non-honeycomb. personally i really hate the honeycomb start menu

Can anyone post a picture of the 2.4.1 pages. it sounds like the top bar and bottom buttons are different then in 2.2. is that correct? I'd really like to see what the changes are before I flash. I know it is listed in the first post but I am not sure what that means at a practical level. What is the advantage for reflashing to 2.4.1?

Thanks.

Is TouchResponse needed with 2.2? With 2.4.1?

What does TouchResponse do? It sounds like it only adds vibration feedback in all apps, which would be a good thing. I saw some posts that says it helps scrolling. I'm not sure scrolling needs help. Would it help with the difficulty in positioning things easier in the SPB MS3.1 Lifestyle layout. Before 6.5 I would position easily by just drag and drop. Now the resonse is sluggish so the itme lags your finger and positioing accurately is difficult.

V2.2 seems stable and I am hesitant to add things that might break it. After I first flashed I added some titanium themes listed way earlier in this post and they fouled things up on the titanium today page. I've goen back to MS3 so that is a mute issue anyway.

Thanks.

Based on my expeerience yesterday, XDA seems to take a very long time. I had my Omnia sittign there for close to 30 minutes just at the BGILL splash screen. That is why I thought I had broken my phone. No resonse to start or OK buttone. I never woudl have guessed the upper left particularily with Start and Ok at the bottom now. Is that normal? At the BGILL spalsh just hit the upper left of the screen?

Thanks.

Been doing some research, and it looks like you have to export/import the resgistry files, although I am having a hard time locating them. If i find anymore info I will let you know. This seems like it would have been discussed before, as we flash so much. If anyone else is like me, then it is a lot of work removing all the panels not used and creating custom ones. Anyone with any info please share....

After you guys flash this rom it will stop on the start up screen this is because i have bypassed the welcome and calibration screen, its stupid and i don't like it lol. all you have to do is hit start and you are good to go!

Bgill, this seems to be causing an issue, have you considered re-wording this, beacuse start has been relocated to the bottom now?

I think there is still an invisible hot spot at the upper left corner....at one point the word 'start' appeared in this location as I was flashing...this gave me a clue to tap here.

I think the splash screen sits there because the auto screen align that has been removed from all builds was meant to pop up. Without it, you just stare at the splash until you press randomly around the screen to bypass it. I always end up going into align my screen after every flash so i can accurately press keys instead of compensating for the inaccurately defaulted alignment during the first few minutes after a flash. I'm sure i'm not the only one that does this anyways. I kinda wish that the auto align screen wasnt removed. It would save me a few steps. PIMbackup restore is the first thing i run after a flash anyhow. It makes it tricky to hit the right box when the screen isnt aligned. I just got used to pressing a few mm down further than normal. lol...

To bring back your custom panels that you took so much time on:

i used PHM regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Chome

find the name of your custom panel and export it as "Win RegEdit 5" type to your my storage so it won't be lost

After a flash:

1. create a panel with the exact name of the exported one using chome editor > menu > Add New Panel

2. save order and exit

3. Import Reg file (I use Sashimi to import since PHM RegEdit doesn't give the option to import)

4. Refresh Chome

Custom panel is there

i apologize if it's not the info you wanted

this was discussed before, but in Adryn's forum in ppcgeeks

this is what i found out with some people who helped me find the registries and info on how to import
