find the name of the panel your custom panel and export it as "Win RegEdit 5" type to your my storage so it won't be lost

After a flash:

1. create a panel with the exact name of the exported one using chome editor > menu > Add New Panel

2. save order and exit

3. Import Reg file (I use Sashimi to import since PHM RegEdit doesn't give the option to import)

4. Refresh Chome

My idea/request was just to disable panels that are enabled by default and hopefully a way to change the order of panels. i'll experiment with sashimi and import/export. Thanks!

i think that if you export the whole Chome Registry, it'll bring back the custom panels and everything enabled;disabled along with the order

but i read that it's not right to do that

people say that if that is done, you are basically taking your phone to the previous build :S

that's what i read

sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to disable iContacts? I guess I'm kind of weird, I like the windows contact list better. The main problem I have is that once I open it, I cant get to any means to close it. It goes full-screen and there's no close button.

i was jus lookin for the keys that determine which panels are enabled and how order is saved and thanks to your recommendation of sashimi to get the registry, i was able to easily figure out this

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome]

"Plugins"="**** plugins go here, separated by semi colon ******"

"ExtensibilityXML"="<Plugins Order=\"**** plugins go here, separated by semi colon ******\" CPRFileName=\"Titanium\" DisplayStyle=\"Titanium\" />"

so i'll just make a cab that edits these values! <crosses fingers> thanks!!!!!

Also found you can setup the pages within the panel like Opera or CLauncher, but i couldn't find a value that holds the zip code for Titanium Weather... i'll search for that later

sorry to get off topic there Bgill, your rom rocks!

three issues i saw

1) for the last couple buils i have seen Opera lag (for minutes) on a couple websites. this is probably not related to your rom, but opera beta build. Very unresponsive.

2) camera review. After taking a picture it used to automatically go to review screen to accept or delete. for the past couple builds it goes to a picture viewing screen (black border) that you have to click to get to the review screen... This could be user error so someone let me know if its me

3) phone ->options -> services tab. If you change some of these like GPS, the screen just gets stuck here, clicking OK does nothing, i can only hard key out. If you go back to that options its still stuck there until you soft restart... probably a winmo issue, but i haven't seen anyone else mention it...

Other than that, i love how the CF03 builds are so much more responsive. i barely do sms and never mms, so the issues for the past couple builds haven't hurt me. it took a few of your CF03 builds for me to notice aGPS, no need to wait ~20 secs outside to get satellite locks... :)

i like clean roms so blisstanium is kinda scary for me since you have borders around every panel, i wish it was like the initial teaser picks were only the current panel had a border... you rock man!

Why does V2.2 like the Contacts app so much. Whenever my Omnia's screen is off for an hour or more, on turning it on the Contacts app always opens, even if that is the app I was in when I turned the screen off. When I soft reset it always opens to the Contacts app right after the splash screen. Even if I go into a tasj manager and kill the Contacts app, when I turn the screen on there it is again. Why? How do I stop that behavior? Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks.

You know, it just baffles me that people post complaint after complaint about a rom that you didn't create and couldn't create if you tried. Bugs and all, Bgill's work is leaps and bounds better than what we had. So, why not be thankful, make a donation, flash your phone, and keep it moving!

Thanks Bgill for your hard work & time spent. I'm running Blisstanium, with fixes applied, and I'm loving it!

No complaints from me. Just questions. :)

I've made many posts in this very thread about how much I love what BGill is doing. I dont know how you find time to do it all and still answer questions, but its definitely appreciated. I think its pretty awesome that we can get our hands on early versions of WinMo that MS is tinkering with.

I've seen #3 as well, but it hasn't been a big problem for me. Considering all the work that BG puts in and all the things that he has to deal with requests to fix this and that, the settings issue seemed trivial.

I have had the Bliss ROM running since you first posted it and I must say it is the best I have used to date. Great work as always Bgill!! Couple Beers coming your way.

there is a work around set one of your hardware buttons to ok/close and this will get you out of the settings

2) I am running Flotanium 2.4 and I got the same review screen as always after taking a pic.

3) This has been discussed and answered many times but for the sake of this being a very long thread, you can either do what BGill said or you can simply hit the end (hang up) key to get out of the gps menu and others. The changes you make are still kept.

Hey Bgill

Would it be possible to get a cab to install Bliss the way you have it setup on your ROM? I was just wanting to try it out on a couple of the base ROMs. I tried installing it from a thread I found over at omniarom.com but it messed up the softbar icons as your first 2.4 version did.

Thanks

I agree that some posts get way too long winded and over critical and at times outright demanding. For the most part though I think the cooks post their roms in an open forum for the very fact that they are able to receive honest reports on how the rom is being received. It would take them weeks in a dark room testing roms all alone checking every possible corner of a new build but releasing to the public and keeping it open for discussion cuts the process down to days or even hours. Otherwise they would just post the rom at 4shared announce it and ask the mods to close the topic for discussion.

I do agree though that the 15 bullet point presentation is much too much from someone that hasn't dropped half the sweat that bgill and the gang have on this noble pursuit.

Bgill,

any way to get a stripped down version of your latest or upcoming?

thanks

woah woah, if Bgill interrupted my post like that, sorry. If anything, i thought my post would illustrate that you have to knit pick to find any issue with Bgill's fast and stable roms. i have no problems doing an extra click or having to do a few extra steps for setting up. i didn't see the work around for the OK button and you have to soft reboot to finish installing other apps so i didn't even mention until i noticed the camera issue but it looks like thats just my phone.

Misunderstandings aside, awesome roms with jaw dropping dedication!

I don't remember complaining, I do remember asking questions however. To which I have not gotten answers. The ROM's are great and BGILL and others put in a tremendous amount of time. I for one appreciate it that he and the other folks that have the skills, and expertise to do this, do it to the benefit of us all. All of there hard work makes device acheive it full potential becasue it is so much more finger tiouch friendly.

For me I am just trying to understand why things are how they are in some cases, see if others have noticed the same thing, and maybe have a workaround.

is that not the purpiose of this discussion?

+1 I dropped Flotanium for this too. I saw a post a while back where someone asked for a favorite Pic viewer and the poster went through cons of a few...but I never saw a follow up.

Bgill - the work you do is awesome!!! Thank you for answering all of our questions!!!
