My first Flotanium 2.4.1 observation:

When M2D is running, you can't get the top bar to come down. Turn off M2D and either a double click on bar or sliding your finger from top to bottom will bring it up. Is that fixable?

Bump. This got buried when bgill wasn't looking :) Has anyone else noticed this? Pretty much makes M2D unusable if you want to click your notifications. Or, am I missing something obvious?

That was discussed when 2.3 first came out. Bgill stated this was Microsoft's doing. He mentioned they made the drop down task bar work only from the titanium home screen. So if you are running M2D or MS3 etc. the drop down wont work, unless you go to titanium home. It's not a bug in Bgill's rom, it was done by microsoft.

So if you are running M2D or MS3 etc. the drop down wont work, unless you go to titanium home. It's not a bug in Bgill's rom, it was done by microsoft.

Thank to those who posted regarding the contacts app always opening. What I found is that using the windows lock screen to unlock the phone; if I tap the center of the unlock button - Contacts opens. If I tap the rigjht or left siode, the previously open app opens. There must be a hidden button as has been suggested that was is causing that. Tap the right or left side is a workable workaround.

One more questions. Using Mobe Shell 3.1; Does MS 'Override Start' work? I noticed when I hiot the Strat button I go to the Titanium launcher screen and not Mobile Shell. The workaround is to assign 'SPB Home' to a button and hit that instead, but I am curious.

You know, it just baffles me that people post complaint after complaint about a rom that you didn't create and couldn't create if you tried. Bugs and all, Bgill's work is leaps and bounds better than what we had. So, why not be thankful, make a donation, flash your phone, and keep it moving!

Woah.. easy there brozef... I think for the most part, we report bugs / quirks that happen when someone releases a new build. I'm pretty sure BGill and the other cooks appreciate that we are his testers and give him feedback on his newest creations. We should ALL be thankful and donate, but to say that we are all complainers is just WRONG !!! I take offense to that !

I noticed in 2.4.1, you have the HTC task manager in there, cool! However, even though I have it set to do so, the "X" is not ending the task. Is this another "side effect" of the new new WM6.5.1 builds? Also, when I send an SMS, I keep getting a dialog back saying "Message sent". Is there a way to suppress that? Finally, I noticed in my task manager that there are two Mortscript processes always running, always taking about 10% cpu on one and 5% cpu on the other. Is this normal or is this something I introduced in installing some Titanium Panels or something?

I attached my Lifestyle Page on MS3 which I love but find the rest of the program bulky and unnecessary. I looked into Pointui but could not get it to work on a clean downloaded 2.4.1 ROM. Not sure why since I read about here.

Does anyone know of a good Home Page program that brings apps and icons together like what is shown? M2D and Titanium require alot of scrolling and I favor the one touch convenience of MS3.

I saw a post a while back where someone asked for a favorite Pic viewer and the poster went through cons of a few...but I never saw a follow up.

That was me and no, no one replied to my question.

I mentioned that the current resco photo viewer was lame (and it is) but I found a link to the beta of their upcoming version and it is really great!

Here's the link for you. Read through until you find the link that says it went beta.

The cab file was taken down but the link to the .exe file might still be open.

Not sure why you couldn't get Pointui to work on yours. It's what I prefer, everything is just one button press away and it runs smooth from My Storage.

You might also look at Winterface or Goodwin from vito technology, simple and clean.

Download the mms_fix cab from page 1 in this thread, and install it to your device memory. That will fix it.

1. After deleting the redirect registry for GPS and doing a soft reset. No External GPS icon shows up in Settings. Also I want a programs and main menu icon.

2. ROM is very laggy. We need a WM6.5 ROM plain and simple without any themes and additions.

then make one or quit making generalized NON HELPFUL COMMENTS. you've contributed nothing yet you feel more than fine flat out insulting this cook's work?

plain and simple seems like it would be a familiar concept to you since it seems that is how your brain operates. Do a simple search and actually KNOW what you're talking about and you will find lite and stripped down versions of roms left and right and to reiterate:

1. were the instructions posted on this forum? pls cite your source.

1a. this isnt a restaurant where the chef takes YOUR order. the chef has generously opened up HIS kitchen for you to try HIS offerings. however, if you have feeback, pls be specific.

2. laggy compared to what other ROM or rev? pls remember you are installing beta revs of a beta release. if you want bleeding-edge, expect to get nicked and cut. moreover, there are numerous stable, older revs from this and other 6.5 branch. find one then stick with it.

2a. pls list the applications that makes a ROM plain and simple. these cooked ROMs are lean to the point of being anal.

i apologize in advance if this sounds like a rant, but i have a pet peeve when i read comments with 'want' and 'need' without asking or saying 'please'.

Hey Bgill, any idea why my software keys are wacked out? I just switched over to your 2.4.1 Blistanium and the were working but now there not. This happened when I tried to install a custom taskbar but it wasn't working so I uninstalled it. Now two keys show the wrong icons, Any help is really appreciated, overall I'm very impressed with your rom, i'm a recent adryn convert since his roms are falling behind since he has his BBerry now.

i would reflash, it sounds like your custom bar caused the issue, even though you removed it something seems to be mucking with it still.

Hmmm... not sure but Bgill has apparantly added the fix into the 1st post.

A couple pages back, Bgill posted a cab for the buttons. I would try installing that cab to see if it fixes it so you don't have to re-flash the entire thing and have to re-do all your settings.

I figured as much I just hate hard reseting, takes for ever to get stuff back to normal, I mean the config tool Bgills using is great but still all the little stuff takes forever lol. Thanks anyway, I guess I should get started.
