Guest PiKapp Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I thought that fix was for a previous release that had trouble sending MMS messages? (i.e. this is something else?) Or does that fix fix this problem also? That is what you need to fix it.
Guest rndchef Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Not sure why you couldn't get Pointui to work on yours. It's what I prefer, everything is just one button press away and it runs smooth from My Storage. It caused my phone to lockup and would not initialize. Let me know how you got it to work. This is what I did. 1. I flashed 2.4.1 Titanium. 2. Downloaded PointUI to Device (Trial Version) 3. Changed Setting on Home by removing Windows Default and checking PointUI - it started thinking and then froze up. I was able to get to programs through Phone screen with Hard Button but nothing else worked 4. Went to Programs and hit PointUI program. Still froze up. This was on a clean ROM and tried again after MS3 was on it but closed. Thanks for the help since I agree that it looks cool. I was browsing the Community area and wondered if I wanted to learn a whole new program like I have done with MS3. Why not? I don't use the majority of MS3 anyways.
Guest metalzoic Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 @rndchef Sorry, I'm still running Bgill's 23041 rom... so I'm not sure what the problem is but I've read a few people are having trouble with the latest 6.5 versions (not just Bgills). Ask in this thread, maybe they can help. http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...2-make-it-mine/ And once again thanks for all your hard work, skill and tech support Bgill! I'd flash more often if I had easy access to a pc with 2.0 usb ports. Ha!
Guest Grassguy Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I'm running 2.4.1 and by far this is the best yet! Everything has run very smooth! Keep up the great work!
Guest ATSsupport Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 A couple pages back, Bgill posted a cab for the buttons. I would try installing that cab to see if it fixes it so you don't have to re-flash the entire thing and have to re-do all your settings. Well I found his and I tried it but no dice, looks like the cab only puts the lines back around the buttons but it was worth a shot. It doesn't remap the icons photos which is what I think my issue is, some how they are pointed to the wrong image
Guest kidrocking79 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 There are some issues with this ROM. 1. After deleting the redirect registry for GPS and doing a soft reset. No External GPS icon shows up in Settings. Also I want a programs and main menu icon. 2. ROM is very laggy. We need a WM6.5 ROM plain and simple without any themes and additions. This guy totally negates what I said back a few posts about how we don't complain about the ROMs in this board. But.. then again.. there's always one in the crowd... Hey... Zero.. if you don't like the ROM.. get out and either download someone elses' or make them yourself.

I would try installing that cab to see if it fixes it so you don't have to re-flash the entire thing and have to re-do all your settings. I had a similar problem after installing a custom Task Bar. Using the Built-In "Remove Programs" didn't do the trick for me either. But after installing the "TMS Installer" In the "News" Section of MoDaCo I was able to remove the Taskbar again and this time my problem was fixed. Just something to try before you Hard Reset. My Button issues were that the Buttons Icons were disappearing but this may work for your issues as well.
Guest Dustinb Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I attached my Lifestyle Page on MS3 which I love but find the rest of the program bulky and unnecessary. I looked into Pointui but could not get it to work on a clean downloaded 2.4.1 ROM. Not sure why since I read about here. Does anyone know of a good Home Page program that brings apps and icons together like what is shown? M2D and Titanium require alot of scrolling and I favor the one touch convenience of MS3. Bgill, I love the ROM and will send you a beer tonight. Thanks for cooking from one chef to another. I used to use a program called "Ultimate Launch" That was simply a Today program that allowed you to insert Program Icons and Today Screen Items into it. It was Just like MS3 in that you could swipe back and forth between pages with your Icon sets although your Wallpaper never changed and you couldn’t move your icons as freely. You could set it up to fill your whole screen or you could have a permanent Clock at the top and have it fill the rest of your screen. It was similar to SBSH’s iLauncher program if you’re familiar with that program at all. But it was a lighter program and it was free. Great program, I used it exclusively on my i760 before MS3 came out.
Guest 737Best Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Hey, First of all, EXCELLENT ROM! I like the radio buttons at the bottom. I have 2 questions though (sorry if they have been answered already, but there are 124 pages of posts) 1. Can I get the regular i910 CF03 keyboard back? 2. Can I change the background in the Start menu (it looks like it has blue carbon fiber behind the hexagons) Thanks!!!
Guest aamon17 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Woah.. easy there brozef... I think for the most part, we report bugs / quirks that happen when someone releases a new build. I'm pretty sure BGill and the other cooks appreciate that we are his testers and give him feedback on his newest creations. We should ALL be thankful and donate, but to say that we are all complainers is just WRONG !!! I take offense to that ! Reading is fundamental. Comprehension is essential. . . . Re-read what I posted. I never said that "ALL" of the people posting on this thread were "complainers". And yet, there are several ppl who, in a poor attempt at providing constructive feedback, fall short of the constructive part and simply sound ungrateful and demanding. Of course we are testers. Of course he wants to know our experiences or he wouldn't waste his time. If what I said doesn't apply to you, then it simply doesn't apply. If you take offense to something that doesn't apply to you, then that's a personal issue. Be blessed. And be easy! :)

You just need to find the cf03 keyboard cab and it should work like a champ. If you wanted the CC20 keyboard I could give you that.
Guest kdkinc Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Bgill Like I said to you yesterday via paypal I really..... Really.... like Blisstanium. Between you and BlazingWolf you make choosing Rom's difficult but you both make the i910 a phone thats a pleasure to own. Thank You :) :) :)

There, you can change your "theme" to a different one you like better. If you still don't like any of those, then at the bottom select use picture as background. Select the picture you want. That will change your start menu background, but also your titanium background. You may have to soft-reset for it to take effect on your start menu tho. Edited September 14, 2009 by PiKapp

Pikapp, If i'm reading your directions correctly... Changing the theme only will only effect my start page and NOT change the Blisstanium picture. I'm a little slow on the download ( understanding ) sometimes but I don't want to loose my Blisstanium pic THANK YOU YAAAA!!!! I got my second star Edited September 15, 2009 by kdkinc

I have the same issue as described above with Krazy Radd's Taskbar that was used on the easrlier ROMs but I added after flash. The left button is functional but shows menu icon same as the right icon. Once I uninstalled, the left button showed Trashcan, Forward Email and Lock again. Edited September 15, 2009 by rndchef

Guest midiwriter Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) While I'm at it here are a couple cabs that I find very useful and have never given me trouble. BE SURE to install batti to device! Zylonite.dll is the 5% battery driver, just overwrite your existing file in the Windows folder (you will need Resco File Explorer to do this, and Winrar to uncompress the .rar file [the forum won't let me upload a .dll!]). Resco Explorer is the trial version but works great. Resco requires that you show hidden files to see a .dll file! Just go to options/general and uncheck all hidden files! I hope this helps at least a few people get on their way!Batti_2.4.cabMMS_Fix_Bgill55.cabrescoexplorer_p.ARM.CABzylonite_battdrvr.rarTouchResponse_v0_3_2.CAB Edited September 15, 2009 by midiwriter

Which folder in the windows folder do you replace the existing file? Thank you.
