Try going in to Easy Settings and then All Settings. OK back out and see if they are there. If not then soft reset. This is a MS3 issue.

Worked great, super awesome as always BW, thanks.

BW,

I loved your Republic Rom. One of the things that I loved about it was the keyboard that you had. It appeared to be the only one that would prefill the receipient bar on texts and emails. I haven't had another build that did that. I also loved the fact that you kept the pop-up keys. Do you have a cab file for that keyboard, better yet do you have a cab for that in the black color that you just did in this build.

Sounds petty, but that was a great feature.

I just updated to the 1.2 MS3 build and when in portrait mode, the start menu background is now some sort of brushed metal looking thing, whereas before it was the same as my "desktop" wallpaper. Landscape mode is unaffected and is the same as my desktop wallpaper. Is this an intentional change or is mine just glitchy? Either way is there an easy way to change this rather than reflashing? Thanks.

Soft reset.

Should work in the 1.2 update. Are you saying that it is not working for you in this update?

1. Umm, not sure. Are you on v1.2? I was looking at the call log on mine and it shows duration and time but that is for the calls I answered. I don't have any missed calls yet to look.

I am on V1.2 Neo though I have noticed it since the CF03 updates started, I just kept forgetting to ask about it until I looked at it while sitting at my computer.

Good luck with your back, that's a tough road! In helping people deal with that everyday, I know it takes quite a bit to get back to form.

Thanks

So, I'm a little confused. I just flashed the CF03 rom so I could have the next exciting installment of BW's rom and...windows mobile 6.1? Uh, why are we all so excited about going back to 6.1? What am I missing? What is the trade off that makes 6.1 prefferable to the CC20 roms we were using before with 6.5? Is it just gps cuz I thought we already had that? Can someone please explain cuz I don't wanna go back to CC20 if there's a great pay-off here that I'm missing. Anybody have any pro's to this big verizon con? (pun intended)

Thanks :)

the CF03 rom is the underlying framework for BW's cooked rom. once you flash cf03 you need to reflash with the rom linked on the first page of this thread (first post also includes instructions.) That will give you 6.5.

Can you show me a screenshot please? My missed call log is showing both time and duration.

I thought the opperating system had to be whatever the base rom was. If cf03 is 6.1, then all cooked roms based on it would be 6.1 as well. When BW started cooking roms for cc20 that was the impression I got from his explanation of the process. I'm very happy if that's not the case. Do you know what if any benifits come with this new rom other than it is an official release? I haven't seen anything really explaining the advantages of cf03 over cc20. Thanks for your time and your reply.

They make up the items needed to make the device run and have programs in them that you use like internet sharing. They are the base of the ROM.

The biggest reason is aGPS.

These ROMs that we are creating are hack jobs. They still have a lot of 6.1 items in them which makes them have issues. Then we hunt down fixes for the issues. For the most part we have these ROMs working perfectly but they are not a native 6.5.

Hey Blazing...this is a newb question, which may have been asked in the 24 preceeding pages of this post (I only read like 10)...If someone flashes to a cooked ROM can they flash back to the CF03 ROM from verizon? I'd like to try your ROM, but I'm wondering what the risks are (other than I brick the phone cause I screw up the flashing).

Yes, you can flash back.

Hey BW,

This is odd...I've had the phone on charger for hours now, and it's still only at 80%...All that's running is activesync though...any idea what might be going on?

No. Have you soft reset?

Several soft-reset's later my settings menus in MS3 (exclusing the spb area) are empty, any idea what could cause this? (1.2)

I am on V1.2 Neo. I just now installed MS3 as a 3rd party app and viewing that call log, all the information is properly stored, just not being called to display. The all calls list is properly showing duration and time (today's calls) or date (prior to today's calls). If I am just missing a setting or something, I haven't found it yet.

Here's the screenshot (numbers removed to protect the innocent)

a little confused with the XDA_UC program. I cannot find it anywhere to work with. I have looked in every file in Explorer, Adv Config, Personalizer, etc. I can see it ran after flashing but I had nothing in it so spent the day reloading - duh! Don't want that to happen again. Any help and where to find it?

Also, do I need to use the GPRS 1 minute Disconnect Program or is it already imbedded in the ROM. I saw something in Adv Config that made me think I did not need to use it.

Thanks.

I'm an idiot - it was something else i installed wreaking havoc. Disregard!

Thanks for your work BW.

This has been talked about a few times. This is an issue with MS3 that I can't fix. However to fix it all you need to do is open Easy Settings and then ALl Settings and then OK back out. It should now be fixed but you might need to perform a soft reset.

Create a folder on the root of your SD card (as in not inside of any other folders) and call it XDA_UC and place all of your .CAB files inside of it. Those files will install to your device as in the phone memory. If you want to install them on your "my storage" then create another folder inside of the XDA_UC folder that you just created and call it SD, then place your .CAB files in there. Those files can be stored either on My Storage or on your SD card it will give you a choice.

There is no program to find, just basically a set of instructions cooked in that directs the setup process to install the files in the XDA_UC folder, but you have to create the folder.

Go to your storage card, make a new folder called XDA_UC. Inside the XDA_UC folder, make a new folder called SD.

These instruction are copied from page 1.

If you want cabs to be installed to device memory the place them in the XDA_UC folder. These cabs will be installed silently and need no user interaction. If you want a cab file to be installed to your Storage card or My Storage then you will need to place cab file in XDA_UC/SD. Any cab files in this folder will auto launch but will ask you where to install them. After installation you will need to tap on OK and the next cab file installation will start.

A hard reset will activate the XDA_UC process as well as flashing to BW's roms - you could have moved your files in after the flash then hard reset.

To get any deeper, BW refers all to this thread at XDA Developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3611692

Ah, Now it makes sense. Those missed calls are from yesterday. So now it shows the date. If you had a missed call from today it would show the time. I'm not a programmer so I will not be able to change that behavior.

XDA_UC is cooked in to the ROM. You know need to make a XDA_UC folder and place it in your Storage card. Please see the first post for more information.
