Guest blazingwolf Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 another lame question :) If I do a HARD reset b4 the next version (Blazingwolf night v1.3) does that bring me back to the Verizon last ROM CF03 and does a hard reset format MY storage so that I can do a clean install of Night V1.3 when it comes off the press. About 6 pages back you spoke of formatting MY STORAGE using a desktop is that the same as doing a Hard reset?? I kind of got stuff every where on my phone and I would like to start from ground zero . Thank You A hard reset will go back to what ever ROM you last installed. So if you installed v1.2 of my ROM that is where you will be at. A hard reset does not reset your My Storage area. You can do a reset of your My Storage area if you so choose by using the hard reset in the settings menu but you will need to reset your My Storage or use the clear all data button. You can also format your storage card in this program if you so choose.
Guest rndchef Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 I just wanted to report that the Weatherpanel program is a bit quirky on the Omnia and it does work but the coolest feature yet is the ability to link weather cameras to your phone that update regularly and show you actual pictures of current conditions. It is very easy to do and it is a very cool capability.

Worked just like you said it would (of course) :) Now I'm squeaky clean Had a boot up problem that caused a hang during startup due to a calender sync program I tried and got rid of also I was stuck in military time. Guest myoder020 Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Is soundtester.exe included in your rom?
Guest leapyear1980 Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Hey Blazing Wanted to thank you for the new build - very impressive. Flashed the MS3 version and feel like I have a whole new phone :) Actually talked to a friend at work who wanted to show me his Omnia, and it turned out he was running the same build. No offense to anyone, but he and I agreed your builds and support are the best. Hope you are doing well. Leapyear

Guest wd4sgu Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Greetings, BW! Outstanding work again, just like in your 6.1 ROMs. I have a quick question re the battery indicator in the taskbar of the MS3 version. Since Batti is also installed, this battery icon is redundant. I haven't been able to find a way to remove it yet. What am I missing? Thanks again for the great work. Mike

Put a check mark in "Display clock on title bar in all programs".
Guest xxsicpuppyxx Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Quick ?... In your MS3 version, is it supposed to have that thin rainbowy line all the way on the top of the screen like that? Or is it simply a background that could be changed? Its looking out of place with the black theme........ great rom BZ, thank for your time and dedication bro... Edited July 30, 2009 by xxsicpuppyxx

Guest jagnfly Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I am playing with setting up the Titanium_400x200.cpr file so my Landscape Today page is similar in layout to my Portrait Today page. I have found where to manipulate everything on the screen save 2; I can't seem to find how to incorporate the focus square on the left or the control arrows on the right. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Mostly the unused icons that are just barely on the screen look funny (pixelated with weird coloring. Anyways, on to your question. Those items are placed inside the broneres.dll file. I just happen to have one. ;) The graphics might be off a little bit still with this one but it will give you the idea.bronzeres.zip Edited July 30, 2009 by blazingwolf

Thanks a ton, I absolutely will share, give me a little bit to clean a few more things up. The graphics issues I ran into do not seem to be what you are discribing, but I did notice there were a few places that were sized slightly differently that gave a more dramatically different display than I would have guessed. I'll get to work on it and see what I can get back to you.
Guest metalzoic Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I'm running 1.2 and it's great! Really appreciate it BW! But I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if it's just my setup... From the stock windows contact app if I choose the "New" softkey to add a contact it then takes me to the screen where I choose an outlook contact, messaging group etc... But after I choose one the screen flickers and takes me right back to the contacts page. It never actually lets me add a new contact. I can add a contact from call history or from the Samsung contact app just not windows. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks

I am working on getting it fixed.

When the phone is locked and someone calls I answer. But to enable speaker or any other option available on the lock phone screen during call is UNSELECTABLE. Btw - Blazing, you are by far the man. I have tried different roms BGILLs and TMs and others as well. They great but yours really sets the bar. I have not found any other rom to beat it to date. minus the couple of glitches mentioned. But nothing critical. Anyways, please reply with comments on the concerns mentioned. THANKS! :)

That worked well. All that is needed is to change the size of the focus window to match the landscape size - probably 55X55 or 60X60 would be my guess. To this point, my only excursions into cracking open DLLs has been using the ResHacker utility that Lisbian08 provided to manipulate icons. This tool seems less useful in this case, or I don't know how to use it yet, but I cannot read the raw language that's being presented. I'm off to try to learn more to do this. Anyway, here are the files I worked on for the landscape display: Night_v1.2_LCPR.zip

You just need to hit the Dpad and the screen will be unlocked. The add contact bug is known and I can fix that easily enough but it creates another bug that I have not been able to fix yet. Thought the add contact issue is by far the more serious.

Guest pw-man Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 BW - just thought I'd report that I'm using the MS version of 1.2. (Can't figure out why all you guys like the new WM home stuff... I just do find it as "one stop shopping". anyhow, that is a different rant.) So far, very stable, have been using it quite a bit for calls, etc. and it is working well... The only thing I need to test is the video recording capabilities, which I have had some problems with on the pre-release ROM that you were using before (I'd get skipping, etc...) Once I have an opportunity to test, I'll report back... As wierd as it might be, the camera and video stuff is really convenient on this phone... the videos aren't HD quality, but for impromptu events, it is pretty cool to be able to whip out your phone and grab something unforgettable... Keep up the amazing work!!!!! Patrick
Guest jagnfly Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Looks great. I will look at the image and see if I can get that fixed. Mind if I use the cpr? I've been using the last 4 incarnations of your ROM which have made my phone into the tool I thought it would be when I bought that crappy verizon interface. A cpr file is the least I can do. Please, absolutely use what you can - especially if it saves you some time. If there's anything else I might be able to contribute, give me a shout.
