Guest blazingwolf Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Blaze, You rock! I flashed (for the last time, I hope) this rom, and have everything that I want, and SPEED! Please stop, rest on your laurels, relax, I do NOT want to be tempted to flash again, it's like masturbation, you just can't stop..... ;) ;) <_< :) Once you start you just can't stop.
Guest blazingwolf Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Blaze - Thanks for fixing this, it was an issue for me. Now, however in the dialer, if I spell a name, for example "B-L-A-Z-E" ("2-5-2-9-3") and I push the center button (optical mouse) it takes me to the new "Black" contacts screen instead of dialing the number or letting me pick txt, email, mobile, etc. And it doesn't take me to the contact I was typing, but the entire "Black Theme" Contact list, and I have to re-enter the contact. Before, i could type "blaze" and then slide left or right on the optical pad to pick txt, mobile, email, etc. Any one else with this issue, or is it by design, blaze? Either way, thanks! Is there a reg setting I can change to re-map the center button back to how it was? Thanks, I love this, as I do all your roms, I thirst for them, I yearn for them... seriously though, great job. Hmm, I'm not seeing this on the MS3 version. Tomorrow I will flash back to the Neo version and see if I can duplicate it.
Guest blazingwolf Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 alright i think im gonna go ahead and venture back into this world. however, are you saying that the link i included was the official verizon update? because when i went to the store with my messed up phone before filing the insurance claim, i tried to pass myself off as a n00b who didn't know what he was doing and thought he was doing an official verizon upgrade but they told me that it wasn't official CF03 is the official Verizon released ROM. If they tell you differently then they have no idea what is going on.

Guest blazingwolf Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 no problem for being off topic. yeah so the insurance is a pretty good thing, especially if you have already lost two phones in lake geneva. i forgot what it costs, but once you have the insurance, you are allowed to make 2 claims per year and whenever you make a claim, its 50 bucks i think. its worth it in my opinion, especially when i finally get the palm pre when it comes to verizon in spring I believe he meant that he was off topic in my ROM thread. ;) I would appreciate it if we could stay on topic in here as much as possible so things don't get missed. :)
Guest charles2995 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) Actually, I had a similar touch sensitivity issue early on. Verizon offered to replace it free (I was well within 30 days, and on the original stock firmware). I probably would have taken them up on it, but I was out of the country at the time and didn't feel like dealing with the shipping/customs/etc. I "lived" with it like that for about a week, and then discovered and flashed the leaked cc20 (mainly just to unlock GPS). I don't remember noticing the sensitivity with the leaked cc20, as I was only on it for a few hours before I came over to the dark side :) Since then, at least, the sensitivity has been great. I have no idea what the original issue was, but I did buy into the insurance just in case it comes back. Sorry for the semi-off-topic, but speaking of insurance (after 30 days), how does that actually work? Do they send you a new phone directly, a coupon towards a new phone, or what? Do you have to get exactly the same model replacement phone? If so, would it necessarily come with the latest firmware? What if the phone model had been discontinued? Also, if you switch from one owned device to another owned device on a particular account that has insurance (for example, if you were desperate for a working phone and happened to have an old spare), how would they decide which device to cover? sorry for being off topic too, im just gona answer this question. yeah so the insurance is a pretty good thing, especially if you have already lost two phones in lake geneva. i forgot what it costs, but once you have the insurance, you are allowed to make 2 claims per year and whenever you make a claim, its 50 bucks i think. its worth it in my opinion, especially when i finally get the palm pre when it comes to verizon in spring... unless, of cousre, i feel no need when i upgrade to the rom tonight Edited August 4, 2009 by charles2995

Guest monsterpt Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 BW, Have you seen the new dialer, WMP and volume skins by Krazy Radd? Works well, he got the dial pad changed to white on balck and they look sick with all the black theme you have in your ROM. I tried his taskbar, but it is not fully functional for i910 yet. Working on it though... http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...mp-player-more/
Guest dangbatt Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 DUDE GUYS, WE ARE GETTING BLAZE IN TROUBLE! I think we all just need to listen to some cool jazz or easy listenings and chillax. We're all cool cats here, Blaze is working hard for himself and for us we should definitely invest in trying to figure out how we want to see him improve things and ask/make questions/suggestions after seeing if it would work ourselves. He's making things he would like to see on his phone work, so if we have a good idea I'm sure he'll be happy to incorporate our thoughts/plans/ideas. Just make notes and things and with a well listed set we can probably figure out what went wrong and where it went wrong.
Guest dangbatt Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I have to agree with you Dude! Blaze is doing things that we all get to enjoy! EVERYONE SHOULD BUY HIM A COKE........

Guest tsp2jxd Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Blazeboy.......working good here. Absolutely enjoying your work. One comment for you. I did not see any icons under the "System" settings after flashing. NOT through MS3. Regular settings only. So I went in through the Easy Settings, selected All Settings, closed out and then went back and was able to see icons in the System settings. With one problem. Instead of being 3 wide on the screen, they are only two wide. Just letting you know what I find. More feedback coming as I play with it.....errrrrr....use the phone. :)

If I ever figure out where to change it I will but I haven't been looking hard since I don't go the normal settings very much. The settings not showing in MS3 is known and I am unable to fix it. Guest bmn4711 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I am currently using version 1.1 of this rom, is it possible to flash to 1.3 without losing all of my settings? - b

Got it. Thanks. Is there an option to change the battery software (Batti?) settings? The old ROM had an option on the start menu. I like to change the color of the top of the screen to all green. Am I just crazy?
Guest pantsman Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) Blaze, First off, great work. Yours is the first custom ROM I've tried and even though I'm having some troubles I can't bring myself to give up on it cause when it works it works great. I might be alone here, but at least once or twice a day (depending how much I'm using my phone) the phone will lock up (or virtually lock up, meaning it will seem locked up but if I hold the power button down for long enough it will shut off). I thought this was something I had installed possibly so I did a hard reset and not installed anything but it still does it. I haven't been able to pinpoint what is causing it cause sometimes it's the camera, sometimes it's the start menu, sometimes it's even the unlock screen. I just went to try to diagnose it by seeing what is going on in task manager and it couldn't load the task list. After I clicked cancel, since the bar wasn't moving, it locked up but I was able to hold the power button down to turn it off. Again, sometimes it doesn't respond at all (even holding power down for minutes on end doesn't respond) and other times the screen will stop responding but tapping the screen will still vibrate as if it recognizes the input. I wish I could give you a better description of whats going on but, like I said, it seems completely random. Do you have any suggestions for what I can try or if there's something I can try to help you diagnose it? Has anybody else experienced this? I never had this problem with the stock CC20 ROM. If it's cause of Windows Mobile 6.5 I'll probably just switch back to 6.1 cause taking my battery out multiple times a day is a pain and has to be hard on the device. Thanks, and keep up the good work. -Andy Edited August 4, 2009 by pantsman
Guest Vahnyyz Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 this is so weird, after the initial setup and stuff the backlight would be set exactly how i wanted it, it could be lowered or raised even after lock screen. then I did the soft reset after XDA and now it won't go anymore, any suggestions or still the same issue as before.
Guest Cytamius Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) I'm having an issue with this Showcase task manager. I use WisBar Advance v3.5 and its built in task manager and it's not getting along with Showcase. Anything that shows an X to close it seems to close fine but anything with a checkmark will not respond at all unless I push and hold. Then some things close and others bring up a Showcase menu across the menu bar. If I kill Showcase via Task Manager my phone freezes within a minute or two. Edited August 4, 2009 by Cytamius
