Works well, he got the dial pad changed to white on balck and they look sick with all the black theme you have in your ROM. I tried his taskbar, but it is not fully functional for i910 yet. Guest blazingwolf Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I am currently using version 1.1 of this rom, is it possible to flash to 1.3 without losing all of my settings? - b Well, a flash will erase everything you have done but you can use a registry editor and export the settings you want to keep and use XDA_UC to reinstall them upon your next start up. That way after the soft reset your phone will be the way you like it. :)

I like to change the color of the top of the screen to all green. Am I just crazy? Start/Settings/Utilities/Batti Settings (for MS3 ROM) I believe it is still in the start menu on the Neo version. You can also tap on the Batti meter line itself to get to t he settings.

Yours is the first custom ROM I've tried and even though I'm having some troubles I can't bring myself to give up on it cause when it works it works great. I might be alone here, but at least once or twice a day (depending how much I'm using my phone) the phone will lock up (or virtually lock up, meaning it will seem locked up but if I hold the power button down for long enough it will shut off). I thought this was something I had installed possibly so I did a hard reset and not installed anything but it still does it. I haven't been able to pinpoint what is causing it cause sometimes it's the camera, sometimes it's the start menu, sometimes it's even the unlock screen. I just went to try to diagnose it by seeing what is going on in task manager and it couldn't load the task list. After I clicked cancel, since the bar wasn't moving, it locked up but I was able to hold the power button down to turn it off. Again, sometimes it doesn't respond at all (even holding power down for minutes on end doesn't respond) and other times the screen will stop responding but tapping the screen will still vibrate as if it recognizes the input. I wish I could give you a better description of whats going on but, like I said, it seems completely random. Do you have any suggestions for what I can try or if there's something I can try to help you diagnose it? Has anybody else experienced this? I never had this problem with the stock CC20 ROM. If it's cause of Windows Mobile 6.5 I'll probably just switch back to 6.1 cause taking my battery out multiple times a day is a pain and has to be hard on the device. Thanks, and keep up the good work. -Andy First, what version are you using? 1.3? 2nd, have you tried reflashing? 3rd, did you flash to the CF03 ROM before upgrading to mine? I have never had issues like this so unless you can give me a better idea of what you are doing it's going to be very hard to recreate.
Guest blazingwolf Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 this is so weird, after the initial setup and stuff the backlight would be set exactly how i wanted it, it could be lowered or raised even after lock screen. then I did the soft reset after XDA and now it won't go anymore, any suggestions or still the same issue as before. Same issue as before? What issue? Mine works just fine. What are you installing?
Guest blazingwolf Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I'm having an issue with this Showcase task manager. I use WisBar Advance v3.5 and its built in task manager and it's not getting along with Showcase. Anything that shows an X to close it seems to close fine but anything with a checkmark will not respond at all unless I push and hold. Then some things close and others bring up a Showcase menu across the menu bar. If I kill Showcase via Task Manager my phone freezes within a minute or two. Remove the shortcuts to Showcase from the Windows/Startup folder. Has Wisbar 4 been released then?

Hey BW - I know you were going to flash to the non-MS3 version to do this, I flashed to MS3, and it does the same thing...didn't do it on 1.2, (had the save contacts issue) and didn't do it on previous versions. By the way, I love how you can search "company directory" from the dialer screen (other ROMs don't let you do this) and the autofill for txt, email, etc is terrific!

I was on the MS3 ROM last night when I tried it and it dialed the number or opened the messaging program as it should. Like I said, I have to figure out why it is doing it now.

Hey BW - FWIW, I don't know if this will help, I was over on ppcgeeks, and Bgill has the same problem with his latest build...here is a sample from his Thread...someone else had this problem (this is from his ROM, not yours) but same issue, it seems...i think he was using 23016 XIP and SYS/Beta build 21928 .... ***************************THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOUR ROM*********************** HUGE Problem! I have about 600 contacts and I manage them by pulling up the dialer, typing part of their name, and then clicking on their name (I use the samsung dialer). With previous versions this worked. When I clicked on their name it would pull up a screen that would say "Call", "Send Text Message", "Send Email" etc. This no longer works on 1.4. Now it doesn't do anything when I click on their name! I have no idea what the problem is but if I can't find a solution I'm going to have to go back to 1.3 (although I LOVE everything else about 1.4). PS. I don't know if it is related but the "Call History" & "Phonebook" buttons in the Samsung dialer don't work. I was hoping the "bug fixes" in your change comments would fix it. Other than reflashing from 1.2 to 1.3 I haven't tried again. Just for the record, I flashed to CC20 when it came out, then to CF03, then to your 1.2 (PDA only), then to your 1.3 (PDA only). Yes I flashed to CF03 first, but I didn't leave it there long before I flashed yours. Maybe I should flash back to CF03, see if I have the problem over a couple days and then flash to your ROM again if I don't have it on a stock CF03? That's the best idea I can come up with at this point. It's weird cause it works great and then will just randomly lock up.

Thanks! curnj, I did to, maybe BW has it somewhere, but I just reflashed to cc20 v 10, copied the ringtone to my storage card, then reflashed to the M2D version, go to file explorer, and click and hole, and click "set as ringtone" and you are all set. now I know there is probably a way to go into the .bin file and extract it, but that is beyond me...for now!

I maybe misspoke a little, I did this with some of the other ringers, "pearl" "tikal" etc, but which one specifically do you want, I will see if i have it!

The 'req for a dream' is on the rom i have, so it's not that one. It was more mellow than that. Pearl sounds right but I can't be sure now. Guess I have to reflash to find it. Bummer. I tried to call the phone when this has happened and noticed that the when I call it it sounds like it should be ringing but it is not. Basically rebooted it and went on with my day. But after the third time decided maybe I need to go to 1.3 and hope this fixes the problem? One other issue is that I will be working in a program and then all of the sudden it till revert back to SPB screen and close the other program.....I think

You will notice though that the Call History and Phonebook buttons work in mine. I believe it is related to the fact that I made PhoneBook the main contacts. I changed to the WMdialer and it pulled up the correct contact screen for the WMdialer. For some reason it is not doing this for the PhoneBook. I can go back to the standard WM contacts but I was hoping to keep the black finger friendly look.
