Guest dercetojones Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I've never had the issue before. I had that problem (locking up when launching Opera sometimes) in 1.2, but not 1.3. It happened mostly when I had a lot of other things running already, and had had the phone running for a long time since a reboot. But, as I said, its fine now in 1.3. Only had one lockup in the past week-ish, which was today when I set the volume to 0 accidentally as I was swiping my finger around the dial to vibrate. Pretty good, if you ask me. Thanks :)
Guest Hybrid-Heaven Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 flashed to 1.3 this morning and its only happen once so far, cross my fingers. :) By the way thanks for the quick response.
Guest VZW Omnia Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Just flashed to a cooked ROM for my first time. So far so good. Nice work BW. 1 question - can I install a different calendar to use in place of the stock one. I like the SBSH calendar. Nicer layout and can color code things...yada yada yada. Anyway, like I said I am new to this and want to make sure this will work on this ROM. I had it on the original OS. Probably a stupid rookie Q, but I'd rather be safe than have a $200 paper wieght and have to go back to my Crackberry :) Thanks in advance.
Guest level140 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 No blazing, don't leave us =<. I don't wana have to get the II.

SBSH Calendar will work but it has some issues with reoccurring appointments on WM6.5.

Guest escenkay Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I've been having some freezing issues and sometimes the phone won't even light back up after I lock the keys. I pop the battery out and reboot the phone and get gwes.exe errors. Anybody getting the same?

Guest A4DRIVR Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I just want to say great work blazingwolf! Also, will you be updating this ROM with the latest WM version 23017???
Guest TemetNosce Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 This is a great ROM. Few questions, they might have already been answered so ignore me if they have. Under Settings, the Systems and Connections folders are showing up completely empty for me. Is that normal?

Until they fix it you can go to Easy Settings and then click on All settings and then go back to MS3. It should work now but you might need to soft reset.
Guest duba Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Hey BW, loving the rom, and appreciate you adding the SPB. I came accross this cab that adds some flexability to SPB, you should take a look for future versions. WIDGETS PRO PLUS 'BASIC' AND 'ULTIMATE' FOR SPB MOBILE SHELL 3.01 FINAL (QVGA, WQVGA, SQ240 AND SQ320 ONLY) 8TH JULY 2009. On a side note, anyone notice the delay (3 seconds or so) for your clock to update when after the backlight has been off?

Guest DirtySanchez Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 (edited) I haven't found anything different in 23017. So I don't think so. We will see though. Hey Blazing Wolf, I see Bgill55's 23017 that I loaded yesterday has a new feature i haven't seen on any of the other roms yet Floating Icons for the start menu or able to move the icons around instead of just move to the top. Is this something that can be added to your rom? O also the most important thing Nice work i have always liked your style or tasted it looks great. A Few suggestions for some addons: 1. http://supware.net/iContact/ - icontact 2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487677 - Finger Keyboard 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508544 - NSFFan used a full screen comm manager that is nice over all i like what where you are going with this rom. Guest pantsman Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 So I still couldn't bring myself to give up since I'm so stubborn. I reflashed using 1.3 and didn't install a single thing. Phone still locked up trying to run something...I want to say Opera again but can't remember for sure. So I rebooted and opened Task Manager. Batti showed taking up 12-17% of the cpu so I killed it. Without Batti running, the phone hasnt' crashed since and it's been over 36 hours so this is the longest I've gone without it locking up since I installed CF03/1.2. Any chance in getting a version of the rom without Batti installed? Please let me know if there's anything else I can try. Thanks. -Andy

(aside from hitting power button and turning off backlight - or obviously not touching it)

(aside from hitting power button and turning off backlight - or obviously not touching it) That beep has nothing to do with Batti, but rather windows Sounds and Notifications. You can turn off all 'Events (warnings, system events) from Settings/Sounds and Notifications' Edited August 7, 2009 by jagnfly

He is using Shell32 from one of the 21900 series SYS. This causes some issues with the start menu which I don't like (traybar is no longer transparent and start menu cprs have to be changed). So, I don't plan to add that. I have included ReStart so that you can arrange your start menu in any way that you want. 1. iContact does not work very well in this ROM. I think it is conflicting with FTouchSL. 2. Fingerkeyboard is a pain to get working when cooked in to a ROM. That is why bgill does not include it in his ROMs anymore. 3. There is a full screen comm manager already included in the 1.3 version. It is linked in the Start Menu and you can slave it to a hard button if you wish.

Anyways, as mentioned, just remove the link from the startup folder and you will never see it again (well, until you hard reset).
