Guest banderdragon Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 small issue. I can't seem to change my backlight brightness. Nothing i change in the settings changes the brightness of the phone. On 1.3 i could max the brightness and it was so nice to look at, could even use it sunlight. PowerSave is off. brightness is max and set on manual. It is nowhere near as bright as i could get it on 1.3 In addition, when i am playing with it, no matter where the brightness slider is, there is no change. Tried all sorts of soft-resets after changing settings and no goodness. I can live with it, but i loved my brightness even if it did bad things to my charge time.
Guest xpilesx Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 I feel like im always the one to find nitpicky problems...the windows live icon for the email panel is all pixely...other than that good stuff...happy you went back to HTC task manager...hope you go back to the stock calendar...

I am using the Neo ROM and it works just fine. Which ROM are you using? What have you added to the device? I have not made any changes to this area so it should still work.
Guest happytang Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Hey Blazing, When you get a chance, on your next release can you somehow remove the low battery warning? I've seen a few other builds do it, I don't see any reason for it, and it's pretty annoying.

Yep, nitpicky. :) Find me a better icon and I will use it. Preferable 150X150. To get the original calendar back change the following key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCALENDAR "1"=":MSPOUTLOOK calendar"

Guest mikentammy610 Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 JUST BOUGHT YOU A COUPLE PEPSI'S.... Can you tell me how to link the speaker icon in the taskbar to different volume settings menu instead of the windows default ugly sliders..... How you have it in your rom is perfect, I am just wondering how this is accomplished... THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARDWORK... MICHAEL

MICHAEL Thank you for the donation. :) For the volume, you need to have the volume control app installed to your device. The GSM version usually prevents you from 180 degree rotation but it does work.
Guest mikentammy610 Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) is that the htc volume control app??? Thanks EDIT.... FOUND IT THE SAMSUNG CONTROL CAB... Edited August 11, 2009 by mikentammy610
Guest joeldanganan Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 I searched for the solution to my problem to no avail. Â I can't get the htc task manager to show when using MS3. Â I downloaded the 1.4 ROM without the ms3.

I downloaded the 1.4 ROM without the ms3. Hmm. Mine had been working in MS3 whether you installed on the Neo version or used the MS3 ROM. Not sure why it would not work for you. That said. This is a known issue with MS3 and something I most likely will not be able to fix.

Guest BrianPick Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) Here are the backgrounds I posted earlier, plus the current one I am using. I have had had few folks ask for them. I can take no credit for these but I will also post the site where I usually find backgrounds. Maybe the hits will do them some good. These are the full size picture. If you just put them in your storage without resizing and then use "Picture and Vidoes" to add, the Omnia will let you select the part you want visable and it makes them rotate to landsacpe very well as there is plenty of file to fill the landscape slice. Everyone may have already known that but, hey why not say it. http://www.vladstudio.com/home/ http://profesorul09.webs.com/apps/photos/ So there they are and have fun looking at the sites. These guys or gals offer VERY good stuff for free. So let's help them by giving them hits !!!! Edited August 11, 2009 by BrianPick

Guest pacman9889 Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 He BW, I'm always a fan of your work, I'm just wondering when you are going to add in the drag and drop start menu. Bgill said you helped him on it so you should have it soon. I was hoping it would be in this release, and maybe it is, but not listed in the changes. I've actually got a wierd hybrid of bgill's and your rom running right now, and got the drag and drop to work, but my menus are all messed up. I've tried using the different 6.5 themes, but I get either flat classic looking, or WAY too big, like only about 5 options in portrait mode. Could you up the "cook" theme that you use in your roms as a .tsk theme file, and I'll see if that works.

Guest Fecious Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) BW, I'm getting a strange 'mort script' error whenever I try to use the task bar. It keeps freezing my phone in active sync and I have to restart every time. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Thanks. Edit: it's giving me a 'gpsonwarn' in the task menu. I had something like that happen with a previous flash. I was finally able somehow to get the GPS warning to the foreground and click on it. I don't remember what I did, though.
Guest happytang Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Which one? 40%? I thought I had that in there. :) Nope still pops up. What's the original fix? Something I can do on my own?

I finally got the GPS warning to show some how and it fixed. :boggled:

Mainly, loosing the traybar transparency. I have included ReStart in both ROM so that the start menu can be changed to your desire.Cook.rar
Guest blazingwolf Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) Nope still pops up. What's the original fix? Something I can do on my own? Well, I checked. I removed the sound and the reg key. So, I'm not sure how it would sound for you. I'm letting my device hit 40% to see if it happens to me. Edited August 11, 2009 by blazingwolf
