23028 beta added to 3rd post.

This is a beta of the newest available build for WM6.5. I wanted you to be able to give it a look i f you so desired. Do not expect this ROM to be stable. It is listed as a beta for a reason. That said, I have not had any stability issues so far. At this time I have only tested with Neo Titanium. I will work on MS3 when I have some more time.

Known Issues:

Samsung dialer has a scroll bar

Can not OK out of Phone settings once you make a change (work around is to slave the OK/Close button to a hard key)

I really like the look of the newer builds, but after trying out Adryn's 4.0 build I am going to have to wait for more people to test them out before I jump to them. Did the buttons, large arrows in menus, and the start menu button get an upgraded look from 23025 to 23028 or are they custom made? I think they look nicer on your build than I have seen them in other builds of 23025.

The buttons and arrows are custom. Hated the look of the original ones. Thanks to the creator of those. :D

Looks great so far. Have had no issues. Still more playing needs to be done.

Any plans for an MS3 version?

I love the look of all of the custom ROMs, especially Neo Titanium. I have an i910 and only updated the ROM after VZW & Samsung released the official CF03. I am very intrigued of what WM6.5 has - it looks so slick, but am just reluctant to upgrade.

After flashing to one of the custom ROMs, (in the unlikely event that I feel the need to) can I return to the official CF03 ROM?

Also... what is meant by "removed touch response"? Is that the vibration feedback? Is this not a setting that we can turn on if we want it or turn off if we don't want it?

Thanks!

Decided to mess around with 23028 Neo.. :D

Takes a little getting used to the look and feel of Neo seeing that i'm a MS3 fan.

Most of the features that I use seem to function properly however I'm not a "power user".

I installed my copy of MS3 and all seem ok .

I guess if there is a problem its that i have not figured out how to get my MS3 backup to i function.I can just work on setting up my program icons. ;)

I prefer the "GPS weather" program over "titanium weather" even though there quite simular.

Thank You for your in site and suggestions

Yes, you can go back to the CF03 ROM.

Touch response was an added program that provided vibration feedback at every touch of the screen. It broke the kinetic scrolling though so it had to be removed.

I like the GPS weather also and it will be added eventually. Just haven't gotten it in the ROM yet. You can install on your own though. ;)

I've read that there are some issues with the back up part of MS3 so that may be your issue.

I will be working on MS3 version of this soon.

Installed 23028 beta and it seems to work pretty well for me. I do see the known bugs of course but did not notice anything else going wrong.

Since I've been pining for the RDP client on the 1.4 rom, I checked and I see you left it in there on 23028. :D

Tried it out and it connects to remote servers no problem. Don't know if this will help with figuring out why it doesn't work in your 1.4, but there you go.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I actually thought about you when I left that in.

Haven't had a chance yet to play with the RDP cabs but I will get to it.

In the military (Afghanistan)?

Yup. Navy man working with the Army guys for a year or so. Southern Afghanistan.

But back on topic. BW, any estimated time table that you think this new ROM will be stable enough in your opinion before another release of awesomeness.

Hey BW!

Thank you for all your hard work. I was about to start looking for a new phone (before I flashed to your neo ROM) but now I'm much happier. I do have a few things I would like to change/add and I haven't seen them mentioned (except for the start menu rows, which was mentioned a few posts back)

1. I want to add a "Tasks" bar to titanium. I would love to see my tasks from the home screen.

2. I like the BW_original panels better than Neo so I installed your cab file but it doesn't work in landscape mode. Is there a way to fix this? When I switch to landscape mode it shows Neo.

3. I don't like the 4 rows in the program launcher. Is there a way to revert back to 3 rows?

A few other questions. If a new verison of Bing comes out, how do I remove the old version so I can intall the new one?

If I find a cab of Media Album and decide to install it, can I install it in My Storage?

I notice when the phone is awakened due to a text message coming in, I have about 3 seconds before the text message notification on the slide bare disappears and I can no longer slide to text messages. If the phone isn't in sleep mode, but locked, and a text message come in, it seems to work fine.

Thanks again for your work!

It's pretty much stable now except for the items I have listed. There are a few alignment issues here and there but they are not show stoppers.

I've been using it for a couple of days with no major issues.

1. Taskanium. Look at the Neo Titanium post in the main forum. I still need to work on landscape for this panel.

2. I'll make up the landscape version and post it.

3. I'm pretty sure I have posted this before but I will put it up again.

4. Just install the new version over the top. You can not uninstall programs that are in the ROM.

5. Not sure. I guess that will depend upon the cab.

6. Yeah, this has been a thorn in my side for a little while. Darn if I can get it to work right. It might have to do with our 6.1 base.

Well seems like I'm going to try it out and play around with it.

Funny thing is that I've never even used this phone as a....well phone. I can't use it here in Afghanistan but wanted to see it's capabilities and found out about your ROMs. Great thing too. I'm going to be using a better phone than I ever could have gotten from Verizon before I ever use it on thier network, lol.

Got R&R in about a week or so. I'll let you know how it goes with me on the net and geotagging and all when i get some hiking in and calling all the buddies to check out my phone with your genuis work.

Be safe and enjoy your R&R.

What I like about this ROM:

-It's very fast when navigating around.

-It has SPB MS3

-You can search your contact by spelling their name in messaging (this didn't work in other roms i tried)

-It has plenty of space for additional programs.

-By default programs close by tabbing "X"

-You can switch tabs by side swiping (I am not sure if this is a windows feature but I like it)

-It is very smooth when finger scrolling.

-The check boxes are big for easy selection

What I don't like about his ROM:

-GPS does not seem to work properly (I also have blackberry storm and it is able to locate me consistently using Google map in matter of seconds but Omnia takes minutes and a lot of times I get GPS signal weak error. And yes I got BAF GPS toggle on.)

-When I open phone dialer, hide keypad, then try to scroll down call list gets dark as if the ink is leaking. There is no problem when you scroll up. This happens when you use the scroll bar also.

-The keyboard is slow. When you hit a letter the haptic feedback and letter pop up is slowing down my typing because of the delay.

I think blazingwolf did a great job with this ROM. He put a lot of time into this and I respect that.

Possible bug???

I use IE explorer for web browsing mostly and some times Opera beta.

I've noticed that when I look at animated radar at various WX sites that only the top third of the radar is in motion.

I did not have this in the past ROM's nor does it exist in Opera beta.

I watched a clip in wm player and all seemed ok .

I really don't care at this time for Skyfire it seems to have a bleached look.

(God I'm feeling better already) :D

Maybe my MS3 loaded on top of Neo is the problem but I thought I'd let you know of this issue

Thank You
