For some reason the bottom [Launcher, Today, Contact] panel in MS3 main slide disappeared. And the Change Backlight panel will cause MS3 to freeze. So is there anyway to reset MS3 settings without hard reset?

Did you install something that made this change? If you did uninstall it.

Have you tried a soft reset?

Well, if it is an MS3 thing it might not be possible. I'm running your V1.3 titanium version (I'm contorlling myself to only flash every other update)and I can change the home screen backgroud to anything I want but when I go to the start menu screen, it's a different wallpaper... how do I change that wallpaper/background?

Like I said I made a theme of it. That is why it is on the Neo ROM too. The start menu theme and the today theme are the same. I would suggest moving up to 1.4. This helped fix a lot of issues 1.3 had.

My phone has been acting a little buggie and I thought it was MS3v1.2 but it is still buggie with MS3v1.4. The issue I am having is that when I grab my phone in the morning after a full charge, it is occassionally locked up. It also gets stuck on the iLock screen with 12:00pm on it and then eventually finishes rebooting and shows the correct time and the MS3 start page. I have to take the battery out usually to get it to reboot. I am not sure what is messing with the phone. Does the Lock program work properly?

I have also seen a bit of conversation about Batti eating up battery charge and I have been having that issue as well. Is the general consensus that Batti does or does not? I can see that is fluctuates on CPU usage but at low levels unless its plugged in.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you are using S2U2. Have you tried not using it to see if you have the same issues?

Batti does not eat battery on my device which is why I added to my ROM.

My wife has the same phone and i dropped the same firmware (1.4/ms3) on it. It has NOT locked up. However, she rarely uses it for anything other than phone calls. I may try swapping the batteries and see what happens.

Unfortunately swapping batteries didn't help. It's odd since I have identical software on our two phones and her's doesn't lock up, but mine does. Only real difference is, I actually 'use' mine whereas, her's is rarely used for anything beyond phone calls.

I'm back on stock firmware for the day to see what happens.

Thanks BW...This is my first wimo device, was extremely dissappointed out of the box. Feeling much better after your rom, just a bit lost...lol

I had thought that I read in here or in the " Neo Titanium, Now with landscape support" thread that landscape was built into 1.4. So I went to assign screen rotation to a shortcut button and don't see rotation anywhere? What am I missing? Or for that matter I don't see anywhere where I can even add a new button as an option?

I didn't install anything, I just let the battery ran out and recharged it.

Why do you need to assign it to a button? Just rotate your device and it will rotate to landscape.

So a soft reset did not help?

It sounds like you installed one of the widget addons. The bottom 2 or 3 icons disappear and this space is unlocked so you can put whatever icons you wish downthere. I bet if you look you have more pages in your lifestyle home now as well. The change backlight panel does not work for us. It can be taken out by reg entry. Do a quick search and you will find it. Otherwise, if you don't like the widgets just uninstall the widget program and all should return to normal.

Thanks for the response. I don't use S2U2 just the stock Lock. I never had this issue with S2U2 though. Couple of questions on whether you think any of these add ons are problematic.

1. AIO Security Off & SRS WOW

2. Touch Response

3. MS3 Toggle

4. Taskbar Elite

5. TouchFL - It prevents the MS3 menus from sliding on my phone

6. GPRS 1 Minute off - seems to help battery life when I use it but takes programs longer to initiate to the internet

1. Haven't used

2. It broke kinetic scrolling when cooked in but I don't know of other issues.

3. Never used.

4. I've used and it should not cause a problem.

5. This could be an issue. It is already in the ROM no need to install again.

6. Should be fine.

To add my 2 cents:

I have found that SRS WOW caused unexplained lockups. When I uninstalled it....none in 2 days.

Forgive any formatting wierdness, new at this stuff, normally I just lurk about but I like BW's ROM's way too much so I am always reading the forums....

Man, lol, this is my first post here.

I just am trying to chose a good rom that runs fairly fast. I'm curious if you could provide a screen shot of the Storage/Program memory?

Also, all of the "added" programs you have on there, are they installed in My Storage and can they be removed?

Thanks so much for your time ._.

EDIT:

This is probably the ROM i'll go with. I've been browsing all day long and learning all of this new stuff about how to use and what i can do with the phone..I honestly don't want to go through 65 pages of this thread..Is there anything important that I should pull out of what everyone has said?

Check out posts #1,2,3 of this thread. It's got most of the info you're looking for about BW's roms.

If you're looking for base/lite roms, here are a few:

(1) See V6 screenshots: http://www.modaco.com/content/i910-specifi...ms-by-hartv427/

(2) See MD2 Lite: http://www.modaco.com/content/i910-specifi...-m2d-lite-v1-5/

(3) See Adrynalyne's v 3.0 Base: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=75064

Have fun!

Lol, i'm not sure how i overlooked that screen.

Being that there is so much free space, i'm assuming that the programs are installed into My Storage? That still doesn't insure that I can remove them, though x:

Also, his screen, the total storage is "120.53 mb"..Mine is only 88.17. Will there be issues there? :/

My ROM does nothing to your My Storage.

The amount of total storage is changed by removing a lot of the bloatware that was in the original ROM. So, after you install my ROM your memory screen will look similar to the one I posted.

Ohh. Any unwanted programs can still be removed though, right?

Thanks again. This is the sexiest looking ROM i've seen so far :3

EDIT:

Wait, how is the ROM able to change the "Total" part under storage? I thought that was a physical reading of the hardware specs? Sorry for being noobish >>

You can not remove any program that has been included in a ROM. You don't have to use them though. :D

Based on things removed or added it will affect your total storage memory. I have made changes to the base ROM which will affect this.

I will give you my 2 cents since I have been there. I contemplated going "Base" versus everyone else's semi loaded ROMs and have done both. I flashed the couple different ROMs that were "base" and then added all the crap back that you want. I did not find it zoomed so to speak once I added the apps I wanted back in. There is just too much cool crap to put on the phone. So I returned to BW's MS3 ROM which is outstanding when you start comparing it to others or what you wind up doing with the base ROMs. Not to speak bad about others it just becomes personal choice and I found BW's total package is great. What an asskisser!

You will need to read 100s of pages of these forums to get there and flash a bunch before you land. It becomes an obsession. I hope you have fun with it!

Great rom so far..

I have a question, though. Do the text messgaes save to the My storage instead of the system memory? Mine are loading REALLY slow. ;-;

CLauncher question.

Wouldn't it make more sense if when I hit the large icon for an app that that opens up the app? Is it me or do I have to hit the line of text that says CLauncher to get things to open up? Also, while I'm here, lots of windows apps have the icon for the app buried in the exe file so I can cruise to the .exe file for the program and grab an icon for it in Windows. Apparently this is not so in mobile apps? Is there an app icon library anyplace?

CLancher seems functional but it would be better if it were more intuitive. As it is now when I tap the icon for an app, it skips to the next app in the taskbar launcher thingy.

I just flashed my phone with the first version that's in this topic. It's rediculously sexy, but i just ran into an issue. I went to go restore the file i had backed up from my old phone and in the process the phone was unplugged from my comp. Now the backup won't work..so i need to hard reset. If i hard reset, it will go back to this ROM, right?

Yes it will.

I would caution you about restoring from a backup. It can change registration entries that I have changed to make things work better. I have included a program called XDA_UC in the ROM that will help you to reinstall all of your programs and settings. Please read the first post for more information.

Yup. Navy man working with the Army guys for a year or so. Southern Afghanistan.

But back on topic. BW, any estimated time table that you think this new ROM will be stable enough in your opinion before another release of awesomeness.

Even though this is off topic, THANKS for your service!!

Yes it would. Unfortunately I, and others, have not found a way to make it so that will happen. If you have found something that can change that then please point me in he right direction.

When it comes to icons it would be nice to pull from the program exe (mobile apps do this too). However, It doesn't seem as if the creator of CLauncher has found a way to do that.
