Did you mean to upload a picture? Nothing is there so I'm not sure what your problem is.

FWIW, I can see the image.

It says:

Radar Setup

Basic4ppc

An error occurred on sub __main_downloadfile. An error message is available for this exception but cannot be displayed because these messages are optional and are not currently installed on this device. Please install `NETCFv35.Messages.EN.wm.cab' for Windows Mobile 5.0 and above or `NETCFv35.Messages.EN.cab' for other other platforms. Restart the application to see the messages. Continue?

Early morning quiz. Can any one spot the difference in the screen shots?

Hmm, maybe work is blocking the image.

So you are running one of my ROMs? Which one, Neo or the MS3 version?

I'm currently running the 1.4 NEO ROM.

BW... I like the 23033 buttons at the bottom. Very finger friendly. Does this mean you'll have a ROM out with that version soon? Did you give up on the 23028 version? I still haven't upgraded to one of your ROMs, but I think your work is terrific and will likely upgrade one of these days. Maybe when the 23033 version is out. :-)

I use Pocket Informant and especially like the Today plug-in. Do you know if that is compatible with the Neo Titanium ROM? Or does the Neo Titanium ROM's Today page have a calendar entry that I can customize (how many days ahead to show appointments, whether or not to include all-day appointments, etc)?

23028 was only meant to be a beta (people really like to play with the latest thing even if it is to buggy :D ). There are to many issues that I can't fix to release it as a stable ROM. Plus new builds are coming out daily sometimes making very hard to keep up. I'm really waiting for some of the major items to be fixed before I release the next version.

The today plugin will not work with the Neo Titanium. Titanium is the only thing that can be on the today screen. You can turn that off if you wish to use the Pocket Informant plugin though. I do not know of a Titanium panel that will do what you want.

Some new images of the next build that showed up early this morning (thanks Da_G). These screen shots show what things look like with out my normal modifications.

I will finish some things up and post this as the next beta with a list of known issues. It will not be released as a stable ROM until issues are worked out by me, other chefs or MS.

NICE! Looks sweet, I was thinkin the other day, if they are going to put the x in the bottom bar, why not the start menu. How's the keyboard response? Still slow?

I must type slow as I have not experienced the lag people complain about in the keyboard.

Absolutely Sweet!!! Damn!!!! My fat thumb loves it because that little X is impossible to hit when doing the one handed deal while driving. That sounds bad. And damn because that means another flash. Does anyone know of a program that will restore all the widgets, favorite contacts and backgrounds to MS3 Lifestyle pages? XDA_UC won't do that because its not a theme.

How will that work with MS3?

What keyboard do you personally use BW?

I posted earlier that I was having some problems with battery issues and random freezing up and wondered if it was the Lock feature. I went back to using S2U2, stopped using the Lock and everything has cleared up. I think the problem was the Lock functon. My battery is fine now, no lock ups and its seems like better control of the phone's sleep/power settings which seemed unpredictable before.

I have had an on and off affair with S2U2 but so far were back together again. It supports a Weatherpanel icon on it too which seems to be working well on my Today Screen. Updating daily without an issue. :D

I am sure this will all change tomorrow, right?

I have found a way around this problem too - I use the psSHUTxp to turn off the screen (also have it set up to lock after 3 minutes of idle time) and I have found that I can wake it with the POWER BUTTON (no other keys wake it), a phone call will wake it and I still get the sound notification of emails. Still using more battery power than I would expect it to and I will try tomorrow to use this method without the automatic screen lock to see if my battery issues are the same, - could potentially be the lock feature with my phone too. The battery issue is improved some using this method. Also seems as though psSHUTxp and ac power both override whatever is causing this issue.

ps: before, my phone would go into a coma after 12 minutes of idle time only to be resurrected by the stylus. It's sat idle for 2 hours using the psSHUTxp and works just fine. Don't know if any of this helps determine the cause.

Maybe i'm not letting the xda_uc program finish up in the background. Had touch problems with all the builds except for the first one with the new "x on the bottom", 23025 i think. It's gotta be something on my end.

Been doing some more reading. The SIP issue may be caused by the magnifier they included in the newer ROM versions. I removed it from popping up because it pops up all the time. Because the magnifier comes up on a double tap they apparently slowed down the speed of typing the next letter. No one has found an answer to this yet so it is something you might have to deal with if you want to be bleeding edge.

That also answers the question of if I type to slow. The answer is yes. :D

Screen alignment issues!

Hey BW,

Have you experienced any issues aligning your screen in 6.5? I was reading a forum about the dreaded "align screen loop" where no matter how or what you use to align the screen, it never accepts the taps. My phone recently developed this problem and I'm not sure if it's a ROM issue or a screen issue. I think it developed after I updated to the official CF03 Rom but it may have happened after I flashed to your Neo 6.5 Rom. Many of the posts I've read on this issue claim it's the screen digitizer that's going bad, but I'm not sure if I buy that.  I never had this issue with the old 6.1 Rom. I just wish I knew which Rom I was flashing to when it started. I think it was the CF03 but I'm not certain.

Any suggestions?

I was eventually able to align the sreen but I had to tap off-center with my stylus to get it to work. I tried to align it again yesterday and couldn't get it to work. Verizon told me to reflash the CF03 Rom (I didn't tell them I was using a 6.5 Rom) and if that didn't fix the problem, I could request a replacement unit.

Thanks

I've read that pressing harder will help.

Added a lock screen fix to the third post for the 23034 beta. There was an image peeking out at the bottom of the screen.
