Guest Amtrak23 Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Is there a trick to turning off the data connection in NEO 1.4? I click on the green and nothing happens?
Guest blazingwolf Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Is there a trick to turning off the data connection in NEO 1.4? I click on the green and nothing happens? Click on the green what? You can set the end key long press to data disconnect if you want. It's n the Buttons settings menu.

Sorry, green button/bar in comm manager. When I tap to disconnect data it blinks and continues to stay green. I would rather keep the end key as the lock.
Guest pantsman Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Blazingwolf, I may have found at least one problem with my phone locking up. I flashed to 1.4 and continued to have the same problem as before (the phone would seem to randomly freeze until I removed the battery). Well it seemed to happen most when I ran Opera or had run opera recently. I switched to use Skyfire and had no problems with that. So I went online and downloaded the opera mobile beta. It works fine now and hasn't frozen up since I stopped using the built in one. Has anybody else experienced problems with Opera? Particularly in WM 6.5 maybe? Could this somehow be related to changes you made to Opera? Maybe something between opera and the changes to where the cache is stored? -Pantsman

Seemed like everytime it would run a Java Script my phone would lockup. Had to poke the hole on top to reset it back to normal. I too downloaded Opera Mobile Beta and have not experienced one lockup since. Skyfire is great but it eats up the battery like a monster. Though I do use it a lot to watch sports and news videos. I keep 2 extra batteries on me at all times when I'm working because its a lot better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it (saved my butt a few times).
Guest Cbroph Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) Great ROM, had it running for 2 days now without a hitch. I don't know it its just me but I think this is running smoother than 6.1 did. I do have one trivial question though, I want to be able to switch from Neo Titanium back to the original Titanium without having to install the cab and reboot. Like I said, it is not very important but I would like the option. EDIT:I could be wrong, but in the Utilities folder I think the Titanium Options takes you to the Titanium Weather menu. Thanks for all the hard work! Conor Edited August 23, 2009 by Cbroph

Did you change where the cache is stored?

That sounds a bit different than the earlier complaints. Those would lock up at random times.

Thanks for all the hard work! Conor If you know how to make it change like that then I am all ears. To obtain the Neo look there are changes made to dll files and they have to be changed to get the old look back. If you don't like the Neo look then put the old Titanium look cab file in your XDA_UC folder and it will be installed silently on each flash. Yes, that file is part of TitaniumWeather. I will remove it from the next version so people aren't confused.
Guest YoshiFtJ Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 SBP is making me register before I can use it... Is there anything to get around this?
Guest chrisp304 Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 BW, Do you have a cab or point me in the right direction for the 'black easy settings' program you use in your rom?
Guest mcmilliron Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 SBP is making me register before I can use it... Is there anything to get around this? Yes there is. It's called PAY FOR IT! And throw BW some money while you're at it! Sorry but cheap people who think everything should be free annoy the crap out of me. I work in IT and 75% of our customers want us to fix their computer for free everytime they get a virus from looking at porn or downloading files from armadillo. IT DRIVES ME NUTS! Most of them spend more money getting viruses removed than they would have if they just would have payed for the damn music in the first place!
Guest rndchef Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 The new 23034 ROM is sweet. Even if its a beta ROM, it is the best yet with the new menu location. I can't imagine going back to the X in the corner. My fat fingers love it. The Omnia experience keeps getting better ith your work.

Guest pantsman Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Hmm. Doing anything specific in Opera? Did you change where the cache is stored? Not doing anything specific. It usually locks up before it even loads. I also noticed using the built in opera doesn't display a splash screen like the original rom or the downloaded beta does. I haven't changed anything in it except to use google as the main page instead of verizon's default. I just asked cause I was trying to think of things that could be different about my device any anybody else (type/size of memory card is about the only thing I can think of, it's a kingston 8gb sdhc so I don't see why that'd be it). Have you considered removing the original copy of Opera and use the newer version that is available directly from Opera instead? I like it's default page better and it looks to have been updated since the look is different and there are more options available. I don't know if it'd fix my problem but even if it doesn't it still seems like a good idea to keep up with the newest version.

Your right that the splash screen is missing but I didn't worry about that as Opera works just fine for me. In fact I just opened it and did a bing search with no issues. You can change what page it opens to. I hadn't planned on doing that but if it has become an issue I guess I need to. Hopefully that will fix the issues people seem to be having.
