Guest ¬_¬ Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Wow, can't say that I have ever seen that one. You can hard reset by pressing and holding the send and end key while doing a soft reset (continue to hold send and end keys until you see the format screen, you may need to hold the keys on the outside edge for it to work right). The messed up graphics should not prevent that. Let me know if the hard reset fixes your issue. I can't get the hard reset to work. Nothing happens.. ..And i can't do the in-phone hardware reset because i cant type in the pin. :/ EDIT: I got it to work. The hard reset appears to have fixed the problem.. I couldn't even use PIM backup, though..so now i've lost all my data D; Edited September 7, 2009 by ¬_¬
Guest Saluki HHI Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Try the one found in Adrynalyne's repo. I just tried it on my device and it seems to be working. There are also other files that there that some might like. :) http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=75115 Thanks a bunch BW, your a life saver! Works like a charm. Thank Adrynalyne for me too.

That way if I encounter and issue I'm already backed up.

Guest IamReady Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Nice to see you here. :) I have been "lurking" for a long time. Thought I would finally become active. There seems to be much more activity here. :)
Guest BrianPick Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Actually it does not, he does not have the Sammy dialer enabled by default but I have it turned on and no problem. It is using the same skin you were using in 1.4, the black sammy skin with the non-russian buttons. If you have a "prebuild" PM me and I will be glad to throw it on my phone and see if it persist, I can't see where different devices would make a diff but I work on a large netwrok everyday and nothing surprises me anymore. Maybe BGill has some clue ? I actually just flashed his 2.3 and I have the issue. I must have just not rotated to landscape. Sorry if I sent you on a goose chace !

Guest cyberkidz Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) Thanks again BW! I definitely love the MS3 interface! It's very awesome and I enjoy using all the features. RE: I had some issues earlier but I figured it out. Edited September 11, 2009 by cyberkidz
Guest reaver76 Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) Thanks again BW! I definitely love the MS3 interface! It's very awesome and I enjoy using all the features. Today, I just got one major issue. I'm not what happened or anyone experiencing the same issue but it wanted me to Register Spb Mobile Shell. It says "You can use this trial version for 15 days from the first use." Any idea? Do I need to goto the website and purchase the app? I didn't see any instruction on this thread. Thanks for your help! Yes. SPB MS3 is a trial. You need to go to www.spbsoftwarehouse.com to purchase it. Or Re-flash the MS3 version and get an additional 15 day trial...... Just backup your stuff first. I would buy it if you like it that much. Its a really nice interface. Edited September 11, 2009 by reaver76

I will definitely have to purchase this app since it's awesome! :)
Guest ELpollacko Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 BW, been using the 1.3 MS3 ROM for a while and liked it fine. Convinced my business partner to buy an Omnia and loaded on 1.4 MS3 ROM and he is complaining about the battery life, Won't make it 8 hours sitting idle. I just tried the new Blue 7 Rom of yours on my phone and it wasn't for me, so I flashed back to the 1.4 ROM on my phone. I too am experiencing the battery draw issue. I could go two or three days with moderate use before and now I can go from a full 100% to 40% charge overnight! I did notice it keeps dialing out #777. I dug around a bit and cannot find what is eating the battery up? Any suggestions?

There are several theories but no single identified cause the last time I looked at the issue (which has been awhile). You can check the Spb forums to see if they found a distinct cause. That's about all the help I can give you on this one. I have had pretty good battery life with 1.4.
Guest sowazit2you Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Hey the flash went great and all, amazing rom, but now I have a wired problem. After getting all my contacts back into my address book, now whenever i receive a phone call or text for some people it will only show up as the phone number and not the contact name. I double checked and they are saved into my contacts. Anyone else have this problem, or know a solution?

Guest ELpollacko Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Hrm, well I've been reading on the SPB forums for a while now and there seems to be a lot of shoegazing about the battery issue. What was changed between 1.3 and 1.4? I'm here to tell you what ever the change was may be the issue. I have 1.3 and will flash back to that to see if the battery issue goes away.

As listed in the first post: 8-8-09: Update to V1.4 Removed Touch Response, Showcase Task Manager, Added VEKKIO black dialer, HTC Task Manager, Fixed Dialer contacts bug and startup bugs. None of those should have made a difference. Like I said it can happen to some and not others with the same device, ROM and programs.
Guest ELpollacko Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I'm going to dump some of the programs and apps out until I find what ever it is. Thanks.

Guest altimax98 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I was wondering how to find which version of your flashes I have. I bought it from a guy and it had your flash 6.5 on it. When I go to version it says ROM version: S:i910.10 V.CF03.BWNig My question was just wondering what version of yours im running and if I should update to a newer one from you. Thanks!

Go to Start, Settings, System, About. It will tell you there what build you are on...
Guest ELpollacko Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Good luck. I don't thin this will work for you but I have been wrong before. Yep, so far I pulled out some of the non essential programs and still lost over 40% charge in 5 hours. This sucks, SPB seems to be of no help either.
