From lucasjohny at ppcsg..

This method is easier.. The reset button is not required.

1st hold volumn up + screen lock

then hold green and now hold red/power together

then press answer call (left) button to confirm hard reset.

I think this way requires the phone to be in "Off Mode"

Think the photo shots on my review below best illustrated how to perform hard rest on OMNIA-2. :)

Just remember that this will erase your internal storage as well and there is no warning or confirmation.

He is referring to "CALL" button which usually they are used to be in green color in most phones but as you know there are no green or red color buttons in Omnia II, simple and sexy silver only :)

Is it possible to hard reset only the main drive but retain the contents of Intenal Storage

This may sound like some silly questions but I'm very new to all this and I've messed up my WM 6.5 version on my 2 day old Omnia 2 already lol. I don't know what I did wrong but some functions aren't working and I've lost the default theme which I liked.

So my questions are:

Does a hard reset bring back the default theme?

Does a hard reset makes it possible to reinstall the WM 6.5 upgrade with NPS?

I want to learn a bit more about it before I start flashing custom roms and other goodies.

Any help is much appreciated. I've been looking around here but most topics are about more complicated things.

Thanks in advance.

Yes but you may want to take a look at here first before doing a hard reset!

Start> Setting> Display and Light> Theme

or

Start> Setting> Display and Light> Items on Today (for going back to "Windows default" main home page)

Hard reset/ master reset brings/restores back all stored setting/information on your ROM, to your device while erasing all previous DATAs.
