Guest semmtexx Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 hey quick little question here...can VZW tell if you are sharing your connection? Thought maybe this would be a good question to pose....
Guest semmtexx Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 hey quick little question here...can VZW tell if you are sharing your connection? Thought maybe this would be a good question to pose.... Sector, I tested it extensively on XP. It wont broadcast. tested the following, wifi on, off bluetooth on, off, changed SSID and pass, manually created ADHOC and Infrastructure profiles on laptop with the SSID name to try to find the network and no go. hmmm... the app looks tight though, I hope we get it working.
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 (edited) That's cool, next time I come across a useful app that I know doesn't work, I will just post it here and say "Hey, look at this cool app everyone. Why don't you all try it out and let me know how you like. It might need some fine tuning and adjustments". Point being, the OP was intentionally deceiving. He could have just said the app doesn't work. Now people have had their feelings hurt and they're getting all defensive and uptight. ;) You're obviously clueless about how things work on this forum, so I, as well as everyone else here, will spare you the painful details. You're obviously the kind of person that has to have the last word on everything. I'm sure that you're checking this thread in every spare moment just to see if there's someone who has replied to your ridiculous comments just so that you can say something that's going to make you feel better about being you. So I'll pause here for a moment while your wheels are spinning..... .... Okay! The world doesn't revolve around you! So continue to post all that you want here. That doesn't change the fact that you're only advertising yourself as a complete jerkoff! Newsflash... everyone else in this thread sees this for being what it is, and you for the type that you apparently are - childish rants from an ingrate. The only person apparently hurt and uptight is YOU! So we're waiting... entertain us, you fool! Edited July 23, 2009 by meabigbaldguy
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Wait! Don't listen to sector! He's intentionally trying to deceive us again! He's no good! He can't be trusted! Run for your lives! Hide your women! His ROMs contain a secret that will cause our phones to zap our brains! We then will walk the earth as mindless zombies that feed off the brains of the living. We're doomed! ;)

Guest dwallersv Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 .... Okay! You are a classic example as to why the rest of the world frowns upon Americans. The world doesn't revolve around you! So continue to post all that you want here. That doesn't change the fact that you're only advertising yourself as a complete jerkoff! Newsflash... everyone else in this thread sees this for being what it is, and you for the type that you apparently are - childish rants from an ingrate. Guest aceofrazgriz Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 (edited) Sector ftw again. The program is running, but gets stuck where all the other sharing over wi-fi progs get stuck for me XD, can tell due to the wifi logo constantly showing the connecting icon. But it still seems the program should work, i've just been having problems with this thing recently... bout time to flash again anyway ;). Thanks Sector. EDIT: Did get a connection on a laptop, but only connected "locally," couldn't load anything from the webs. Will try again later as i plan on flashing with the new offical Verizon rom then loading a 6.5 rom again. Edited July 22, 2009 by aceofrazgriz

Guest sid0101 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 the topaz htc comm manager did allow me to see the SSID, but I also was not able to load websites. Will continue to troubleshoot.
Guest meabigbaldguy Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) Surely I'm not the only one who noticed the irony here... Nope! That's exactly how I meant to say it. Living outside of America sure is a major culture shock apart from mainstream American society. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pinning them all to this, only idiots like this guy - arrogant and extremely narrow-minded large type jerks who piss and moan when the rest of the world doesn't see things their way. Well, FWIW I see you no differently than that other jerk, making bigoted generalizations like you did. Not that you care...
Guest thedalillama Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Was able to successfully connect my son's DSi to the internet with it, but it would only connect locally to my laptop. Keep up the good work Sector! It is appreciated.
