Guest folletto Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Thanks a lot.... ;) are you thinking abut a ROM for i900 based on i8000 ROM? :)
Guest sector Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Not any official rom release yet? :) Cant wait to port to i900 some stuff hehe
Guest KSTAN Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 So far i can only extract from Part02_dsk1.raw which i have uploaded. Have manage to package it to SYS and OEM. Is there any way to extract or build the other files like xip.bin, OS.nb etc...? I suppose it should be quite similar to i900. Or do we need to wait for an official ROM release before we can build any custom ROM..
Guest Stefano92_100 Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Not any official rom release yet? :) Cant wait to port to i900 some stuff hehe I've extracted tcalendar, tclock, powercalc, smartmemo, dice, wallpapers, rings and some widgets. But the problem is he different display resolution. ;) I'm trying however to port them to i900, but it's a quite difficult. If KSTAN lets me, I'll post something here.

Guest hdubli Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 (edited) Keep up the great work folks. I can't have the Omnia II for another 6 months but I want the black theme in the meantime. You guys are rockin. If I get some free time this weekend, I'll work on the resolution in studio. I am proud to join the ROM cooking community for omnia 2..Here is the little comprehensive step by step procedure to dump.I thought instead of dumping xip1, xip2 and os, why not dump the whole OS.nb, which will help us in giving more information about MBR and other things. Use the latest itsutils from xs4all.nl and type in following command to dump entire os.nb pdocread.exe -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 0 0x12987000 os.nb rename os.nb as os.nb.payload as there is no 8 byte data. use imgfsfromnb os.nb.payload imgfs.bin then use imgfstodump imgfs.bin I hope the further procedures are implicit and are known :) I hope this helps for further investigation in ROM. will post some packages if i can get them by this weekend from ROM Kindly check the xip, samsung has introduced a global wincenls which contains all the possible language and some ad dons in xip itself. This is a great step towards winwo Edited August 1, 2009 by hdubli
