You only needed that cab if you were using a non-cooked ROM. Most (if not all) cooked ROMS already have a working GPS that doesn't need any help.
Guest ElricRaleigh Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Hello everyone. I just used the Verizon Wireless update software for the i910. Update went smooth. Google maps .cab works fine. I will now be looking for GPS apps that display speed and altitude as well. It locked on to the satellites (5-7 of them) rather fast. I am in U.S., state of Alabama.
Guest ElricRaleigh Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 I have since deleted the log files per another post. I now get a GPS LOCK within 30-45 seconds. Awesome. Tracks 5-10 satellites. I am very pleased. This is using Google Maps.
