I always use inesoft and never get the default dialer cut in. Can you still answer by pressing the answer button or do you have to slide to answer?? Strange problem, normally the 3rd party dialer always cut in before the windows ones. I don't think it's possible to disable the m$ dialer manually (3rd party app does that) :(

Personally i don't have a problem with the ring, but i never have it to both ring AND vibrate.. Don't know what might cause it, could be an m$ thing as a i haven't touched the ring settings..

its not actually the default m$ dialer, but the dialer of the lockscreen. correct me if i am wrong here,, the default dialer in the lock screen if the one in full screen with the slide to answer and slide to decline in green and red respectively, right? it not the same as the small square that appear at bottom of screen in incomming call , which is the default m$ dialer.

because when i receive a call and the screen is not locked, it jumps directly to the3rd party phone manager i am using, showing that it did actually disable the default m$ dialer. i am pretty sure it has something to do with the lockscreen.

as for the ringing thing, no one else using vibrate + ring profile noticed any issues? when this happened, i softreseted the omnia 2 or 3 times but no change. and just by itself it get back to normal now, without changing any settings or softreset again.

ps: i just noticed the lockscreen dialer, when i get a call while the screen is unlocked and i use the hard button to reject the call, it shows the dialer for 2 secs after i press the end button. ;)

and 1 new thing just poped up now is that the volume control is not working anymore, when i press the vol buttons on the side or tap on the icon on the top to change the volume, i get the default ugly m$ vol control ;) :( ;)

all this happens without changing any settings... WTF

Personally i wouldn't update for the sake of 23071.. so far only thing i notice is startmenu.. When at the bottom, if you try to keep scrolling down the startmenu disppears and then reappears.. That doesn't happen in 23071. Apart from that not much change.

Use a Regeditor and go HKCU/software/e-natives technology/showcase.. SUITE_CloseOnTap change to 0 ....

Did you hard re-set after flash?? If not, try a HR, i think that might sort the problem.. :(

i dont remember if i did a HR,, but everything worked just fine for a few days,,

and now everything is back to normal, i dont understand, i think my fone got a mind of itself,, didnt touch it at all now, and was working, received a call, still same issue with the dialer,, but now the volume control works just as before, just fine??????? :) :( .i am pretty sure it has nothing to do with ur rom,, because i noticed this issue once or twice with the stock official wm.61 DZIA5. i dont understand what the hell is going on with my fone, without even touching it it changes it itself back and forward again... ;) ;) :(

Don't know.. Do you have to set it up manually?? or does it not sync automatically??. Normally it syncs ever so often.. Probably a setting somewhere, i'll have a quick look :)

i think i was too fast to say it sorted itself out,, got totally crazy,, when i send myself settings txt msgs from my operators website, i dont get anything, just the screen lights up and nothing, and still the prob with the ringing is persisting. got tired of it, downloading ur 23069 build.

1 question though,, is it worth waiting for the 23071 build or its just fine with with the 23069 build?

EDIT: just installed the 23069 build, same thing with the ringing thing. and the volume control doesnt always show when i press the vol buttons, sometimes it shows m$ ugly vol control.

trying to see if it has something to do with the 3rd party fone app. will report soon.

These are the only things which I don't prefer from my personal perspective........please don't take offense.

Love the speed and reliability of this ROM and no issues with themes screwing up like in 23064,it runs flawlessly.

-I love the way you have made the icons, big but some need redoing as you can see that they're not the right resolution for that size.

-I find it hard to unlock the phone with the slider on top.

-Boot up animation should be one screen, like or similar to sectors boot up screen. It has the feel and look of a genuine finished product.

Apart from that like I said, well done!!! I'm gonna stick with this ROM for now i'm lov'n it!!!!

u can actually change ur boot screen if u like a different one. for me this one was a bit long, so just find one u like and replace the ani_poweron.gif file in windows folder, softreset and all done.

the roms is well done, maybe u could consider the new volume control from the omnia lite, posted in the thread by sector.

i just overwrote the dlls in the win folder and softreset, and the vol control is so much nicer now IMHO.the clock app works also very nice on ur rom. the ones we had in the official DZIA5 was all crap i think.

Cool thanks for that tip. I read once that it could not be changed as it was cooked into the rom and was unchangeable unless you cook your own rom so I never gave it another thought.

Read the first post and download Office cab...you can install it in my storage..

Thank you for your great rom 23069 M2D. It is great looking and more efficient than earlier roms. I am loving it. However I came across the following problems, which are minor though but needs your kind attention. We will be the luckiest persons if you find out a way for those.

1. There is no ok button if we want to use Shake and Save program. So that program remains useless in this rom. Same problem occured when I tried to use pocket rar application and few others.

2. The weather on the home screen is showing a different place that is almost 300kms from ours. Weather is much different for the place I live (wellington) and the place it is showing (Auckland). Is there any fix for this ?

3. Album problem - I did read your first post about the Album showing only in landscape mode. When I first flashed it, I found it in the potrait mode only. But when I started hard resetting several times due to some messups, it turned to landscape mode again. So I understand that hard resetting it sometimes fixing the problem. I am mentioning this in the view that this info might be helpful in any way to understand the bug and fix it !

4. No matter how many times I hard reset my mobile, I am not able to make the fingure key board work on my omnia. It is ending up with FingkbdConfig.exe error - Invalid URL: The hostname could not be parsed. (Shake and save is not working to show you the scree shot of the error msg).

5. I am not able to change to the keyboard of my choice as it is reverting back to default samsung keyboard.

6. Landscape mode for M2D version and the honey comb menu is looking strange.

7. Some bits of the music is getting skipped when I use my bluetooth stereo. Not sure if anyone found this problem.

8. No world time settings. Some times the clock is showing its own time. I had to adjust it again. Sometimes the am/pm button is missing when you hard reset the mobile. Same thing with wireless menu in the comm manager as well. But hard resetting the mobile is making them reappear again.

9. Though I installed Opera and Youtube, the shortcut buttons on the Internet tab of M2D are not working. I do know that we might need to change something in the registry to get them to work, but not sure how to do it. Could you please tell me how I can make those to work ?

10. I backed up my contacts via pim backup and while doing that I pressed the button "Create shortcut". Then it created a new shortcut in the honeycomb menu. So I go back again and untick the create shortcut button again. Now it is not showing up anywhere. I couldnt find that program in Mydevice program folder as well. Can anyone help me in restoring it in the honeycomb menu again please ?

It would be great if you/anyone provide me with some solutions/alternatives to make a very good use of this rom. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I didnt like the psshutxp theme in this version. Is there a way to change it ? Shokka9's black theme is good or Ryrzy's microsoft theme is also ok.

Also can anybody explain what "EverApp" is why is that used for ?

1. My shake and save is working fine, it's what i use for screenshots. After you've shaken you get the option to exit. Just click yes.

2. It's determined by google where you are, i'm afraid it's totally out of my hands.

3. i'll have a look at it, it's always in landscape mode for me..

4. It'll be sorted for next release.. I know about the problem and i've sorted it :)

5. I'm working on this one as well, haven't found a prog that works well

6. M2D never has and prolly never will work in landscape on omnia.. Working on the startmenu.

8. Comm manager has got some bugs which i can't fix, it's not made for the omnia..

9. If you install to my storage they should work.. Otherwise look in the M2D thread, i never use these and don't know what the registry settings are.

10. try installing it by cab and it should re-appear..

And my next rom will have a different psShutXP skin, i like to vary things ;) . Considered slide to shutdown, but didn't like it in the end..

Everapp is used to stop wm6.5 autoclosing programs (especially memory hungry apps).. Personally i don't think it's needed and will probably remove it in the next rom.. :(

What operator and country are you in?? And is this problem just with my rom or all cooked roms?

The contact app should be there, it's standard in all recent releases.. no need to cook a different one. :)
