Guest modacian Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 (edited) hello people... here we go again... first of all, do you know that the omnia II has digital compass and proximity censor?! IN YOUR FACE APPLE SUCKUPS! :) anyway, I have noticed that the top part of the screen is unaligned properly no matter how accurate I am in aligning the screen (using tooth pick, tip of a needle!!! ) can someone test something for me please, just open the dialer and press *#0*# a test menu will appear, press on touch and test touching the upper squares... please tell me what is the result and if you have perfect result, can you pass the registry values to us so we can use them? thanks to all in advance. Previous Omnia owner for a complete year, loved it till the last moment, current Omnia II owner... BEST DEVICE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR Edited July 31, 2009 by modacian
Guest modacian Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Wow... so much of an i8000 club! If no body is having this issue at least you could post your screen alignement registry values to the rest of us! Is there a reason no body cares for answering?

BEST DEVICE EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR i tryed this test... more less ok. in the buttom when i pressed by stylus, i got point in top of the green square. it is simple to fix it. go to settings and do aligmen, but touch the screen in problem area beside the cross (in my case i touched above the cross 1-2mm) and i agree - best device i tryed Edited August 5, 2009 by kvv515kvv
Guest lastnikita Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) do you know that the omnia II has digital compass and proximity censor?! where did you see it has proximity sensor ? any application that takes benefit from this ? Edited August 11, 2009 by lastnikita
Guest alvinaloy Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 where did you see it has proximity sensor ? any application that takes benefit from this ? Proximity sensor beside the front camera. When making phone calls, the proximity sensor can sense that the face is near and swiches off the display. When it senses that the face is far away, it switches back on the display.
Guest c3p9 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Hi Modacian, I have a weird solution... I've been a WM user for maybe 10 year and this problem has been here and there forever! Go to the align screen.... and: 1) Use a stylus and not your finger 2) Look straight down at the device (avoid parallax errors) 2) Skip each cross by just a little bit (one or two pixels) - first a little to the bottom, second a little to the top, third a little to the left, fourth a little to the right and last a little to any diagonal (the sequence actually doesn't matter but the mistake has to be always on a different direction. Try and give some feedback. I always worked for me....
