Guest jackleung Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 How's the music quality? What BT stack does it use (WM or Broadcom)? Does it has the common problem on HTC's device like A2DP drops after phone call? Thanks.

Does it has the common problem on HTC's device like A2DP drops after phone call? Thanks. I'm not sure about the Omnia II but the Omnia Pro has excellent music quality (it will probably be the same). Better than all the others I had before (HTC Wizard, HTC K-Jam, HTC Kaiser, Nokia n73 Nokia n96). BUT ! There is one thing that's bugging me and I cannot solve this. When I connect a a2dp device whether it is a speaker or a headphone it will only connect to the headset profile. It isn't a problem to connect it to a2dp if you use touchwiz, because here you can simply press the audio gateway button on the device profiles in the bluetooth management but if you disable touchwiz and install lets say SPB mobile shell you have to delete the device from bluetooth list and pair it again to activate the audio gateway. Believe me I've tried all the tricks in the book. A2dp toggle, auto a2dp and so on, but it simply doesn't work. Also depending on the program u use to listen or watch media files it could happen that after a call the a2dp drops. For example coreplayer disconnects a2dp after a phonecall but touchplayer doesn't. You also may experience some programs can't handle avrcp profile so you can't navigate or pause the music by the buttons on your a2dp device. I hope they fix this as soon as wm 6.5 comes out for the B7610 and I hope they allready fixed it for the I8000
Guest hiperjp Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) I've been using A2DP in Omnia II without any problem, good quality with Sony DRC-BT15 bluetooth receiver and MDR-EX71 earbuds. Edited October 15, 2009 by hiperjp
Guest asimsinan Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 I bought Sony Ericsson HBH-DS980 Bluetooth Headset. The sound quality is very nice but there are problems. I can't access phone book and the song title is not displayed. I can go to next and previous tracks, set sound. But I can't switch to call when I am listening to music.

I had been using my all my WinMo PDA phones including Omnia-1 & 2 with Motorola S705 Stereo BT the past 3 1/2years. So far Omnia 1 & 2 worked wonderfully with S705 even after 40 hours continous connection and no headset or stereo drop. Using Omnia-2 with Moto S705 and it given headset, gave me good bass and clear stereo sound. Paired it with Omnia-2 stock headset, I got much powerful and deep bass. Well paired it Panasonic HNJ50 neckstrap type ear-bud headset which you hang it around your neck, it gave very good clarity, airiness mid to high freq sound and deep bass if not as powerful as Omnia-2 stock heaset. Obvoiusly Omnia2 + Moto S705 + Pana HNJ50 was the best combination for ppl who want high fidelity and deep bass sound for, Hip-hop, Rock, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Folks, Country, Fusion Jazz, Piano, Violin, Guitar and all other musical instruments recording. (Phew... omg... did I just mentioned almost all types of music playback?)
Guest zurg95 Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Yes, the music quality is fine with the Omnia II and AD2P on Sony HBH DS220. However the sound level is low compared to my old Omnia I. I tried to apply changes to increase volume level on My Omnia II "Music Bluetooth" parameter from http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...mnia2-tips-faq/ but didn't succeed. Does anyone succeed in increasing soung volume on AD2P?

This is however on a B7610 but should work on I8000 too.
Guest swiftgs Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Works like a charm here in combination with my parrot MK6000 carkit!!! Everything is over the radio; tomtom, music, calls :) No connection drops and no noticable reconnect time! I think HTC can learn here from samsung!
Guest Wilson@China Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Perfect sound quality and 100% A2DP functioning with i-Tech R35 under Win Media Player, Touch Player and Coreplayer.
Guest chokia Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Try Omnia II Touchplayer (SRS-WOW-HD) and Moto S9 HD (also come with SRS WOW HD) Boom! I usually listen to loud R&B with full bass and treble full blast on volume with any phone, but with above combo, for the first time i have to low the volume to 4 sometimes 3.
