As I understand, Phonebook relies on underlying Contacts application to sort records and doesn't even have option to change sorting. But this f@&$ing Contacts has only "by Name or by Company" choice! And "by Name" always means Last/First order. How to change it to First/Last?

If it's impossible, are there any changes in Windows Mobile 6.5 in that area?

If there are new sorting options in 6.5, where and how to download and install 6.5?

And, maybe, there's a new Samsung version of TouchWiz with more sorting options?

Cause current version looks more like a student course work rather then a real application.

Wrong, in case I create new record in Phonebook, it creates this record directly in Contacts database. While doing that, it creates "File as" field with Last/First pair. And always sorts by this field. It's just ridiculous!

Or edit each contact and change the display from last, first, to first last.

Thanks a lot. Next time I want to switch back to Last/First sorting I just change each of my 500 contacts again. Or, when I change Omnia 2 to any other normal phone, I need to do the same. Very smart )

if you have any programing experience you can write a simple code to swap them (and sort them if needed). Excel macro can do that easily :D .

You can also google for "FileAsSorter" it installs as a MS Outlook Plugin to change all the File As field in MS Outlook (Desktop version).
