Guest uncle Serge Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 As I understand, Phonebook relies on underlying Contacts application to sort records and doesn't even have option to change sorting. But this f@&$ing Contacts has only "by Name or by Company" choice! And "by Name" always means Last/First order. How to change it to First/Last? If it's impossible, are there any changes in Windows Mobile 6.5 in that area? If there are new sorting options in 6.5, where and how to download and install 6.5? And, maybe, there's a new Samsung version of TouchWiz with more sorting options? Cause current version looks more like a student course work rather then a real application.
Guest silencer22 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 samsung pull the name from windows contact google for contact changer and use that to reorganise ur contacts to first/last
Guest necosino Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Or edit each contact and change the display from last, first, to first last.
Guest uncle Serge Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 samsung pull the name from windows contact google for contact changer and use that to reorganise ur contacts to first/last Wrong, in case I create new record in Phonebook, it creates this record directly in Contacts database. While doing that, it creates "File as" field with Last/First pair. And always sorts by this field. It's just ridiculous! Or edit each contact and change the display from last, first, to first last. Thanks a lot. Next time I want to switch back to Last/First sorting I just change each of my 500 contacts again. Or, when I change Omnia 2 to any other normal phone, I need to do the same. Very smart )
