It tries to turn WiFi off, but it can't.

The whole night, the hero tried to pull it off and that drains Battery.

Only a new Start of Hero correct this Problem.

Has anybody the same problem?

I have had the same problem since a few releases (3.1, 3.0, 2.8, ...)

whenever I manually turn off wifi, it sometimes does this

manually turning off wifi and then turning off the screen while wifi is switching off seems to make it happen more often..

only reboot helps

Dear all,

with MCR3.2beta3 I have a strange problem with my Home screen sliding to the rightmost screen on its own. The Hero is lying on the table - no one touching it and all of a sudden the screen slips left left left until it reaches the right end.

Restored to MCR3.2beta2 which did not have this strange behaviour.

Anybody with similar experiences?

Just installed 3.2 from the kitchen (no wipe, should I?). Feels real fast, but my wifi doesn't seem to work anymore: the wifi icon appears (i seem to have full signal), but my weather info doesn't refresh, market doesn't load stuff and of course the browser doesn't load sites. Any ideas?

EDIT: Wifi works again, had nothing to do with the rom: my roommate installed a f*ck*d up router... The rom is great! Thanks again Paul

Hiya,

Just cooked up a minimal ROM for my Hero and very happy with it, strange thing is though that the contact photos are no longer shown in Handcent SMS, when using the stock MCR 3.1 ROM it was fine and showed the facebook profile photos.

In my cooked ROM I removed everything but Google Maps.

Any ideas? Not a big issue but I liked having it before :)

First download an app manager from 'market',

then backup google maps,

then uninstall google maps,

then re install the backed up google maps :)

Having big problems with reception and not being able to use any browsers properly. SMS are also not sending correctly.

I'll revert to the stable version for now.

damm i like this beta rom :), used for a few days now(since the release)

and it is FAST!!! and the battery is GOOD!!:)

hope there will a 2.x version soon(when there is a stable 2.x htc leak)

I have chosen in the settings-> by. regional and text -> Keyboard Keyboard Better is ticking and I have every time the keypad Modaco

I also try with the keyboard TouchPal and I have the same problem?

I have a pretty basic question. This matter has been confusing me for a while now and I just can't figure it out.

I'm running Windows Vista, and on my HTC Hero the MoDaCo 3.1 with the newest RADIO.

Paul writes: "A2SD included (fully automatic - thanks cyanogen!) - create a EXT2, EXT3 or EXT4 partition as your second partition to use. dalvik-cache remains on device."

I thought at least that this means that all I have to do to make my apps install to my 16GB SD card is install the ROM. I have put up the ROM without a problem - but my apps are not installed on the SD because even after I take out the SD card all my apps still run without a problem.

So what is the matter with this FULLY AUTOMATIC A2SD? Does it make my apps install to SD straight away and automatically?

Please answer my question, I'm sure it was asked before but I couldn't find it...

You must partition your sd card.

This is a good description. But you don't use a linux swap partition.

Only ext3 and Fat.

Look at the description, then you know what I mean.

But after the first start with this new partitioned sd card:

WAIT!!! The Apps all must installed on sd card. This goes automatic but it still need some time!

I cannot find Twidroid on the Market, so I assume I also cannot see any copy protected apps (Although I don't know any others to try) I installed this rom after a wipe so I'm not sure how to fix it?

I'm not sure why this is, but I tried baking a ROM with compcache disabled just to see the difference and it turns out it runs a lot smoother. Maybe it's just my usage patterns, but has anyone else experienced similar behaviour?

Two things quickly. Firstly, has anybody else noticed that waking the device up takes slightly longer than usual? Basically, what I mean is, that if you're screen is off, and you leave it for a few minutes to sleep, pressing the power button to wake it up on mine sometimes takes up to a good 1 or 2 seconds.

And secondly, any news for an ETA on the next update?

Other then that, I am still loving this ROM - very responsive, no issues other then the one above for now.

Hi, I have upgraded yesterday from 3.0 to 3.1 then saw 3.2 so that aswell.

Haven't seen any of the issues reported here, everything worked except slightly faster.

The only problem was HTC_Sync wouldn't see the phone (XP pro), deleted drivers using 'USBDeview.exe' as I had done when using ADB mode.

Reinstalled drivers, but nothing except for windows disk error popups.

So this morning I uninstalled sync v2.0.4 and downloaded the new v2.0.8 version from the link below and it worked straight away.

p.s I added the widgets when cooking 3.1 and 3.2 but didn't wipe between any flashes. I can't see the widgets and I don't care.

I got fc with 3.1, the system process closes after a while.

I have to reboot to make the phone work again.

Any suggestions? I did a complete swipe before install with no swap.

Just found another bug what ever book mark you go to in the browser there is no way of getting of that page every time i go to browser it always starts on the last page i visited unless I do a hard reset
