Nur thats Not the big problem, The problem is that my network is locked to 2G S7 this is what i addressed about a week ago. nobody seems to care that this rom has operator-specific modifications. i'd like to get a comment from paul on that, but so far he seems to have decided to keep silent on this...
Guest Harbringer Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Dear all, with MCR3.2beta3 I have a strange problem with my Home screen sliding to the rightmost screen on its own. The Hero is lying on the table - no one touching it and all of a sudden the screen slips left left left until it reaches the right end. Restored to MCR3.2beta2 which did not have this strange behaviour. Anybody with similar experiences? reeja. Hi, I don't think it's a problem with beta3, my phone does the same since MCR2.8, not always, but sometimes. Seems that comes from official HTC update.

Under this aspect i go back to 3.1 I dont want to surf with 0.2mb/s if i can have 7.2mb/s
Guest Firasco Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Danke! I will try it :) You must partition your sd card. Look here: http://androidandme.com/2009/08/news/how-t...ndroid-apps2sd/ This is a good description. But you don't use a linux swap partition. Only ext3 and Fat. Look at the description, then you know what I mean. But after the first start with this new partitioned sd card: WAIT!!! The Apps all must installed on sd card. This goes automatic but it still need some time!
Guest mifran Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Under this aspect i go back to 3.1 I dont want to surf with 0.2mb/s if i can have 7.2mb/s yes i agree 3.2b has other bugs as listed in my post mifran
Guest teknologist Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I agree with all of the comments...3.2Beta has fantastic speed/responsiveness but lots of bugs... But hey, maybe that's why it's called a Beta right ??? Props to paul for the great job he does !

Guest byakkotai Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Beta 4 online! :) P Changes since Beta 3 Now includes freeasbeer's busybox update Updated Titanium Backup Has the option to switch from 2g to 3g returned?
Guest surfsmurf Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I'm not sure why this is, but I tried baking a ROM with compcache disabled just to see the difference and it turns out it runs a lot smoother. Maybe it's just my usage patterns, but has anyone else experienced similar behaviour? Me too, I always disable compcache. In my experience Android is pretty good at managing memory and enabling compcache only seems to make the Hero less responsive. At least for my usage pattern, YMMV.
Guest TomBriden Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I'm having trouble flashing Beta4, i get the following error: E:Can't chown/mod /data/xbin/set_resolvconf (No such file or directory) E:Failure vat line 54: set_perm 0 0 0755 DATA:xbin/set_resolvconf Installation aborted
Guest Paul Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Has the option to switch from 2g to 3g returned? No, not as yet, i'll make it optional, as some people like the option to enable national roaming but not international roaming and the two are currently mutually exclusive. :) P

Also are there any plans to offer kitchen users the chance to remove locales? (It seems like overkill that all I use in English, but I am offered a huge list of other languages that don't need to be there)

Guest MrPadie Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Paul, is there a reason why the APN list is not in Beta 3 anymore? And also, is it in the new Beta 4?
