Guest Firasco Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 So I did try it but I'm getting the following error when trying to make ext2 - however fat32 works fine: Error: The location 16249.6 is outside of the device /dev/block/mmcblk0. And this is what I get in CMD: print Model: SD SU16G (sd/mmc) Disk /dev/block/mmcblk0: 15.9GB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: msdos Number Start End Size Type File system Flags (parted) mkpartfs primary fat32 0 15737.6 mkpartfs primary fat32 0 15737.6 mkpartfs primary fat32 0 15737.6 (parted) mkpartfs primary ext2 15737.6 16249.6 mkpartfs primary ext2 15737.6 16249.6 mkpartfs primary ext2 15737.6 16249.6 Error: The location 16249.6 is outside of the device /dev/block/mmcblk0. (parted) So as you can see I have a 16GB SD card, want 32MB for linux swap and 512MB for ext2. Why on earth am I getting this error? Please help :)
Guest wabe Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Just baked and my download is labeled 3-1.2. I assume this is just a misleading label. My beta 3 version is labeled "3.2".

Guest mike enjoys android Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) Can i update from Beta 3 to 5 and if neccessary back to 3.1.1. without a wipe? I would do a nandroid backup and in case you can use the Backup to restore to the older version. Edited January 22, 2010 by mike enjoys android
Guest Mitsy Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Hello Paul I've installed this rom but the 'favorite contacts' widget (The HTC one) keeps collapsing (FC) everytime I try to use it. Is it a known problem? Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks

Guest Se7enair Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) But i downloaded some Apps, and dont want to download and setup them twice. :) OK I rolled back to 3.1.1. The 3G-Bug is already in Beta5. 3.2 is very fast and nice, but its still a Beta and i need my Hero to work with it :) Edited January 22, 2010 by Se7enair

Try rebooting and see what happens.
Guest keyra74 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 baked mine :) disabled compcache cuz it really slows my phone
Guest miragebg Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I plugged the phone on the charger and after awhile it seemed to work with nandroid backup...very strange...maybe under 15% of battery the nandroid doesn't work, preventing the possible interruption.. Someone couldd tell me the manual steps to disable compcache?
Guest spooky2977 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 I cooked the ROM with disable compcache...because the rom feels much smoother withouth compcache...but it's still loaded...cookin with 3.1.1 compcache is disabled but not with 3.2 Beta 5. how can i disable it ??
Guest 1immortal Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) thats strange ... i'm getting a lot of FC , with no reason , trying to open the market , the msgs , browser , anything with beta 5 . all i did was pushing the hebrew fonts in it and installing a hebrew keyboard . can they do that ? replacement of fonts can bring the system down ? is there any log that i can upload from the device to here for you guys to look at ? thanks Edited January 22, 2010 by 1immortal
Guest Mange Eriksson Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 My first Modaco rom was the 3.1 and I was impressed... so I signed up to get the 3.2 beta and now there“s no words, it works so much better on my phone than 3.1. Great work /Mange Eriksson
