@Paul:

Hey Paul, thank you for your great work. I really appreciate it. I have also donated :-)

When could we expect a new rom from you? Maybe a 2.1 one? ;-)

Im currently using the 2.1 KaguDroid Rom Version 1.2.1, because i wanted to try out a 2.1 Rom

and wanted to use some of the apps we cant use under the 1.6 version.

Keep up your great development

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but if you choose to cook in the Google Voice Search option, then in the browser the 'Open link in new window' option never appears when you hold down on a link. I uninstalled it and the option shows up now (after reboot).

Anyone want to confirm this on their phone with Google Voice Search installed?

Sorry, I'm using a cooked ROM *with* Google Voice Search and I still get the "Open Link in a New Window" option on a long press in default browser...

Maybe try clearing cache, perhaps a wipe and reflashing?? Might be worth wiping the browser cache etc. from the manage applications settings first to see if that helps?

Have you tried "Scandinavian Keyboard" the the companion "Swedish Dictionary" from market?

In my opinion Scandinavian keyboard is worse than the HTC one. Tried it. Didn't like it. Simple as that ;)

The problem with languages is I don't know where they are held at this time!

P

That is a problem then. Perhaps you should keep older versions of the ROM available to make it possible to install them prior to 3.2. I am thinking something like having the full version of whatever version it is and label it with what languages it does includes.

A small list like this perhaps,

  • 3.1 FULL - English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian languages included.
  • 3.0 FULL - English, .., ..., ....
  • Etc

With a small note that the needed version should be installed and configured prior to installing any baked 3.2 on top until the languages "issue" can be solved.

Ok, re-flashed the Rom with Voice Search (without a wipe) and the option came back. So now there is no problem. Weird!

Has any1 had issues with bluetooth headsets / sound?

I pair my hero with the radio in my truck (blaupunkt radio) After a (short) while the phone starts acting strange...

My messages won't turn up, it won't update my weather, sound disappears (phone to radio)... My boss' son has a similar issue with his tattoo to his Plantronics headset.

Not connecting the phone, no issues...

Hi all / Paul.

I'm downloading this ROM now to update from MCR 2.2e (Which i must say was very stable and has served me well!)

Just noticed "No 'wipe' is required for anyone coming from MCR 1.2 onwards" - do i need to update my radios? I'm currently running Baseband 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18.

If so which is suggested?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Has anyone had any issues with data connection with this ROM?

I've been having issues with the mobile network connection not working, a data connection is available but everything times out (market gives a network error). Turning Airplane mode off/on or likewise for the mobile network seems to resolve it temporarily.

Anyone experienced similar?

Hi,

I have the same problem. It's bugging me for a while already.. If there is a solution, I'm happy to provide all the necessary help!

I have something like that, too. With the newest radio. So far i thought it was a energy saving mode or something, because when i start a program thats using internet, the connection starts immediately. Seldom i have to wait or get an error. But this case happend also.

if i enter

cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq
i get 245760 always. if the phone is on, if it is sleeping. always.
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq

also gives the same, anyways i dont see any lag and resource-intensive applications like Radiant run smoothly. what can be the problem? and how could i check the real cpu speed?

Edit:

the cause was the overclock widget. whatever values i set in it it has no real effect. could you set any cpu setting?

my goal is to set 128000 as min freq during sleep to conserve some battery, but it is always 245760. can the caues be the performance governor?

Interesting I just checked my frequencies and mine is always set to 528000. And I can´t change the settings anymore.

yes, that's my case too, please note, that if the phone is on usb it is always running on highest freq, so you can only check it through ssh for real freq value.

I just flashed tek 1.9 on 3.1 and now it is possible to set a min freq but it is limited to 480000. So it is not possible to set it to 128000.

Actually based on .66 that we've been using for AGES! ;)

P

fine.

Is it possible to manualy add the dictionaries and language setups on this ROM, and if so, how do I/we do it?

I'm experiencing some strange problems.

Using "cooked" 3.2 b5 ROM.

1) After reboot and killing all running apps - I have some 110-112 MBs RAM available. Using it for a day and killing all apps - leaves me with 80 MBs

2) Which might be related to the first issues - after a day use - when I try to call a phone (normally using the People widget, but experiencing the same results from the Call History) -

it just doesn't start the call - sometimes after 30-40 seconds the call starts. I'm not experiencing any lags at that point - moving around screens and apps is smooth and fast.

Any ideas how to solve that will be appreciated

P.S. I'm using the new "task killer adjustment" functionality as well as "TaskKiller" app. Also using app2sd

This is my first issue ! (finally...)

I bought a random bluetooth headphones last week, and used it yesterday and today.

When I don't use it, the phone is really snappy, but when I turn it on and listen to my music... I almost can't use any other applicationm the phone is laggy and kinda freeze often.

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing that or if it's just me, and if it's because of mcr or the hardware (or maybe my cheap headphones)
