2.4 is back up, but it does seem to have horrible issues with users who are starting from a fresh wipe, due to the IM application. I'll be removing this and uploading 2.5 while I investigate.

Sorry to add to the list of issues you're seeing but the IM app doesn't start either. Upgraded from 2.3 with no wipe.

i installed the 2.4 no problems and it does feel alittle zippier but the IM app doesnt work and foces close. is this the issue you are talking about?

is the 2.4 that's online now the updated version?

nope, i had 2.3 and just flashed. everything else working ok but camera forcing close :) since the upgrade...thoughts??

Oh, can anyone tell me if I need to apply the radio update after the MCR 2.4? In other words, does 2.4 overwrite the radio image?

Apply the radio seperately from 2.4.

Yes, 2.5 will be online shortly, reversing the IM changes.

i did the microsoft trick - rebooted sim card out and battery and camera working ok now!

Update: I successfully flashed 2.4 onto 2.3 which I had to install over the 'original'-rooted update from modaco. No issues with camera or Wifi. IM app just closes, no FC dialog. No issues with GoogleTalk

i installed in this order and worked great:

1 - install 2.4

2 - instal enhanced 2.4 features

3 - installed radio.

seems to work great in that order but i am not an expert!!

what is BUSYBOX by the way? don't see it anywhere.

also question: i know aps2sd is built in now and i have formatted my sd card as per the directions. i know my apps ARE on the sd card b/c when i pull it out they don't work anymore - so WHY does my internal memory drop when new apps are installed???

Basically the IM app seemed to work if you were installing on a build where you'd already configured some stuff rather than a wiped build. Very odd indeed! More investigation needed methinks...

thanks Paul - did you say there is a fresh 2.5? rom coming today we shoudl reflash over the 2.4? or is all good now with the 2.4 from this morning? keep up the great work

I came from 2.2 without wipe an IM is not crashing but msn do not connect to confirm user name and password.

But WiFi is working again and everything seems to be faster.

2.4 working fine so far, update from 2.3 no wipe.

camera works, im opens but i have neither of the accounts, so i can't test it.

as i understand it that is two (more or less*) independant flashes. just flash the radio, then the rom and go. or flash the rom, then the radio and go. either way it should be good.

*MCR2.4 needs the newest radio, so you should flash it when installing.
