Is that radio version compatible with the latest ROM ?

It seems to work for me at the moment.

I could download it and installed right now rebooting as I write, have my fingers crossed... :D

Thank you Paul!

Edit: Update: Have booted with the 2.5 core version, Market works fine, all-in-all everything seems in place. Will upgrade to the enhanced version now.

2.5 Enhanced version also OK, market and other apps are running smoothly, settings were kept.

Thanks again! :)

It does.

Use eRay or similar to close market, do 'adb shell rm -rf /data/data/com.android.vending/cache' and try again! :)

All working great! Installed 2.5 then once completed and setup refreshed this site and did it all again with 2.5.1!!

however when clearing prebuilt apps, i delteted browser as an experiment to see if easily replaced with steel (it is), but is there a way of extracting it from the image file and reinstalling, or do i need to reinstall all of the image?

Yes indeed, it works now. Seemed like a temporary problems for people who faked T-Mobile USA (it's the default for MarketEnabler). Tough luck that it happened at the same moment as your 2.5 release...

Paul: many, many thanks for the awesome work ! You're making the best (imho) devices even better :-)

Paul,

I know it's not a priority issue but any chance we can have a fix for the people widget Hebrew problem?

We can't add people with Hebrew names to the favorite list on the widgets... if we touch one of them the HTC SENSE force closes and restarts...

Thanks!

yoavf,

solution!!!

flash 2.5 without the Hebrew and install root explorer.

open root explorer to where the Hebrew fonts are and copy all of them.

go to /system/fonts (outside of sdcard folder) and remount it with write permissions (small button top-right).

paste the fonts and reboot and here you go, Hebrew on MoDaCo 2.5 :)

hope this works for you too.

Lior

It did, thanks Lior!

Wow, 3 updates in a day (or two?). I'm about to try out 2.5 now.

What exactly was the IM app that was temporarily added? Sounds cool, shame about the problems it brought.

Hehe, cool that u could finally fix that market problem. I have same issue with Hero 2.5.1 in germany and autostarts, mabilo ringtones, ...etc are gone from market and there´re still gone.

But I didn´t do wipe. I don´t want to wipe because I´ve got so many apps and configs.

Did you do the delete of the vending cache and reboot?

Ok, so please explain me how I´m doing this:

Use eRay or similar to close market, do 'adb shell rm -rf /data/data/com.android.vending/cache' and try again!

Sorry for this nooby question! :)

EDIT:

Ok now I found eRay!

Then I have to install SDK 1.6 from android.com to get access to phone, right?

After that I have to type in cmd (windows vista) the command you gave me, right?

A possible bug: When you hit the "delete" button in the email widget it doesn't ask you, it just deletes the email. I've checked the options and it asks in the full email browser. Also, when you delete an sms from the sms widget it askes. It seems the bug only affects the email widget, making it too easy to delete emails by accident :S

solution for me: restore nandroid of mcr2.3 and then install 2.5.1-update WITHOUT wipe. settings are still there, market finds autostarts :)

@Chatt76: adb is a tool from the android sdk which basically gives a linux command-shell on your phone via usb.

maybe this is some good starting point to get some information: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hero

again thanks paul, i'm gonna check the if the rest is working now, but i think this is it :D

Do you still have sdk installed?

If yes then you have to open command line in your operating system (windows symbol + r).

Then type in cmd.

Then go to your sdk/ tools folder by typing cd...

After you are in tools folder just type in the commands!
