BW WM7 Black and Blue Windows Phone 6.5 ROM Final

The only way right now is to remove all vertical scrollbars through Advanced Config. That option is under the user interface area.

The blue dialer looks great.

Will removing all scroll bars remove the scroll bars in messaging and browsers too?

imho, the only thing missingthat would make your ROM perfect (forme, like taht matters) is a black dialer or teh origianl sammy in black that works properly

I think I have made everyone aware that there is no such thing.

Hey BW, what setting do you have with AutoCallLocker? I can't get it to unlock when using the accelerometer in a call after it's locked. It will unlock with the light sensor. If you use the light sensor, what do you have it set at? Mines at 50 and seems to work outside and in my office. Also, did you get it to work with the sammy dialer (not that i'd use it with it) it does the opposite of what it should, unlocks at your ear and locks when not.

Works fine for me on the base settings. I leave the haptic feedback on so I know that it is working.

Yep, that is why I said "all vertical scroll bars". The exception is programs that render their own scroll bar.

BW,

Hope you got the pepsi I sent you, I am unsure as the protocol, if that was acceptable or if more is the norm. I have flashed s few other roms, but I have stuck to yours exclusively thae last few months, as your builds tend to reflect my tastes with programs etc.

I don't want to hijack this with anything else, as I love my omnia, but are you going to go the omnia 2 ehrn verizon finally releases it? I mean realisticly, the omnia can keep most people happy, but looking at that possible 16 gb hd and 32gb expansion plus the processor... the real iphone killer...

I did and I sent you a thank you back. It probably ended up in your junk mail. I will also say it here: Thank you. :)

Moving to the Omnia 2 is my plan at the moment. I'm also looking at the new HTC device also but right now the Omnia 2 wins.

So peeking in, i have a question. Any idea when we will have the final build of WinMo 6.5 or is it always gonna be an evolving OS (not a bad thing)?

I know (or think i know) that there are some 6.5 phones shipping this month or the next.

I have been holding off trying this ROM because as much as i love BW ROMs i get annoyed setting up a phone over and over, ring tones and such.

Well, i am using BW night 1.4 MS3 and i love it, but my battery is now dieing super fast. probably something i did, but not sure what. i was gonna just re-flash night but, back to my original question, is there a new version of 6.5 on the horizon? Or better yet, is there a new version of this ROM in the works that i could wait on?

`thanks, kinda rambled

Great Rom yet again BW. Thanks so much.

I have a nagging question that I do not see in here. I cannot get any other keyboard to stick. All I have is the regular keyboard, I usually use the keypad, but am not adverse to trying new keyboards. I tried installing a couple of them, but none stick and it is always back to the regular keyboard. I have played with inputs, imselector and the like. Nothing is working for me. I am sure I am just missing something. Thanks again.

The builds we are playing with now are 6.5.1. The old GUI builds will be what you see released on October 6th. So what we see will continue to evolve over the next few months until 6.5.1 releases. That is expected sometime around February from what I have read.

I agree, setup can be a pain.

I'm always working on my ROMs trying to make them better. Not sure when I will release the next one.

What keyboards are you using?

I tried the stock keyboard. There is no arrow to click on for a list of other keyboards. I then tried finger keyboard, and SPB keyboard. Finger keyboard doesn't even show up, and SPB is the same thing as the stock, with just the keyboard and no keypad or anything else.

To get the list of keyboards just tap and hold on the SIP button for a second. When you release the list will appear.

Spb keyboard does not include a keypad.

Finger keyboard needs to be set as the main keyboard through IMSelector. If that is not working then I think you might have messed something up.

Much Thanks....sorry for the extrememly brain dead question. That is something I did not even try.

I love this ROM. It is fast and runs smoothly. I do have a couple of questions though.

Is there a way to remove the notification that comes up when you are starting a data connection?

When I use Finger Keyboard, there is a small gap at the top of the keyboard. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks

Sure it's just a reg setting. :)

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{8ddf46e7-56ed-4750-9e58-afc6ce486d03}]

"Options"=dword:00000000

@="Connection established"

"Wave"="infbeg"

"Duration"=dword:00000000

"AvailableOptions"=dword:0000000b

Can you get me a screen shot of the keyboard issue?

That reg setting worked perfectly. Thanks.

Here is that screen shot. Whenever I hit keys on the first or second row, it leaves little marks above the keyboard.

The new ROM looks like it is coming along well. I see that it is taking up a lot less space on the Device memory. Are you going to be removing some programs? What build are you using?

Okay you guys keep out doing yourselves, but I have a problem. Could someone do a 6.5rom and leave touchwiz there with it instead of putting htc themes and cabs. this is really begining to get on my nerves. I know I'm not as talented as you but we omnia fans would like to stick to omnia themes. thanks for listening and keep up the good work. :)

This new version is called WM7 blue. It is a little heavier than usual because of some of the itmes I have left in for more finger friendly access. This ROM is built with the SYS and XIP of 23052 which is the latest release of WM6.5.

I would like to thank the following people for helping me with my Roms:

Adrynalyne

bga7x

hartv427

Noonski

Please remember that you flash at your own risk and I am not responsible for any bad things that happen to your device.

How to flash:

You must flash to the CF03 ROM before flashing to this ROM.

Then:

Use UMDL and click on the PDA button. Browse to the location where you placed the bin file and click on open. The file will load. Once it is loaded click on Detect. Now turn your device off by holding the power button until you see the shutdown gif. Once your device is shutdown plug it in to your pc. Now turn your device back on by pressing and holding the power button. UMDL should detect your device and start loading the new ROM on to your device.

User Customization:

My ROM uses a user customization tool called XDA_UC created by Noonski. It will allow you to place your theme, tweaks, cabs and other files on your storage card and have them installed automatically after a flash or hard reset. To get a better idea of what I am talking about please see this thread over at XDA-Developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3611692

These files will need to be put in a folder in the root of your storage card. The folder is called XDA_UC.

For your theme to be used you will need to rename it to My.tsk and place it in the XDA_UC folder. Then on first boot your theme will be used.

Cab file installation. If you want cabs to be installed to device memory the place them in the XDA_UC folder. These cabs will be installed silently and need no user interaction. If you want a cab file to be installed to your Storage card or My Storage then you will need to place cab file in XDA_UC/SD. Any cab files in this folder will auto launch but will ask you where to install them. After installation you will need to tap on OK and the next cab file installation will start.

Reg tweaks that you put in will need contain the following line at the top of the file "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00", a line space must be included at the end of the file. If you look at the XDA-Devlopers thread I linked above you will see more information about this.

Now that I have done this there are some changes to the startup procedure. Please note the changes so you do not have issues.

You no longer need to tap on the start menu to have the ROM finish loading. This will be done automatically for you. Wait for about 30 seconds or so and you will see a customization popup that will let you know that customization is starting. You can tap on the countdown number to start or just let it count down. This will install any items that you have in the XDA_UC folder.

If you have no XDA_UC folder you will still see the customization popup. Tap on the countdown or let it finish. It will finish installation of the items I have placed in the ROM.

Once this has finished a popup screen will appear letting you know that the customizations have finished. OK out of this screen and your device will soft reset to complete all installations.

Version 1 notes:

Like all newer versions of Windows Phone the OK/Close is broken in the Phone settings screen. You can slave a hard button to OK/Close or soft reset after changing your settings.

Known issues:

Please let me know if you have any problems.

How do you get the CMWIFI sharing to work? When I fire it up, my laptop sees the connection but it is LAN only, I don't get any internet. Do you have to configure Internet Sharing somehow or configure some special WiFi settings first? I had this some problem on other ROMs, but I thought it may work "out of the box" on this ROM since it's cooked in.

And is there a way to get the bigger/wider spaced menus as a CAB or reg hack, or does that have to be cooked in a later release?

Please go back and remove the quote. It is not necessary to make such a huge quote.

I don't like TouchWiz which is why it is not on my ROMs. My only suggestion is to go back to the CF03 ROM.

So far I have gotten it to work after flash with nothing special being done. It's after that the issue arises. I've gotten it to work a few time but I can't get it to repeat. As far as I know everyone has had the same issue.

The spaces in the menu are part of the theme but they are also registry entries. Find a theme that you like the spacing on and then copy the reg entries from that.

First - Thanks BW for all of your great work. I'm still on the Night 1.4 with MS. I've truely enjoyed using your ROMS to date.

You are making it hard to stick with MS! I've never worked with Titanium, but this ROM looks very promising.

Given 6.5.1 is still under development, are there any showstopping issues in this ROM? I use my phone for cell, email, light GPS nav, web browsing, and light texting. I want to change to this ROM, but only if the main functions are reliable and the OS stable. I've read many of the thread entries, and haven't seen any issues, but thought I would ask, as I haven't read every entry.

Again, thanks for your great work!
