So I have been working on finding better keyboard for our device. Well, I ported the LG Incite keyboard and put it in a ROM I cooked up. I'm wondering if there is any interest in this. Portrait and landscape images attached. Comments please.

Looks real nice. I'd definitely be interested.

I too like this keyboard and as long as it has qwerty in landscape that is fine too. Anything then the present keyboard as my fat fingers and even with stylus makes using the current board a challenge.

I agree. I have been using it today and I'm starting to like it.:)

like the look of the keyboard, especially the landscape one. If you do cook it in, could you still leave the sammy one just in case we don't like the portrait change?

I also looked at that dialer... very nice. If it works w/ fixes to the language changes you mentioned that would rock.

Looks great!!! Can't wait to try it out. I never use the portait key board any way. Fingers too wide which leads to a lot of wrong letters pressed, which then leads to :) .

I could but XT9 probably won't work as this needs different files.

This is a very nice build. So far it has been a toss up between your build and Bgill's Neo build. One thing I was wondering was if it was possible to make a "base" type build and then have a repository for all the cabs so people can put things in or out as they wish. Not talking about things like keyboard but things like MS bing, office, Cxxxx, Google Maps, or anything else that does not require integration or necessary for integrity to performance and function. In fact a repository of all the cabs would be a great way for others to learn about all the different "programs" out there so they can install and uninstall at whim.

By the way does this "master" repository already exist somewhere?

Anyway just a "wish" on the ol wishlist.

Again a very, very nice build. Oh and while I am at it :), is there a way to associate a button to change from portrait to landscape as in Bgill's build versus automatic? The automatic seems to turn on me at the most inconvienent times hahhaa....

The dialer looks great! I'm not sure about the keyboard...I like having a full keyboard in portrait. I have read the new HTC Imagio has a great keyboard so that might be something to look for in the future. Can't wait for your next rom, they just get better and better!

Any chance this is a CAB file somewhere that we can try? It looks interesting but I am concerned about speed. On the other hand the bigger buttons may make up for that by allowing me to type without hitting the wrong keys and having to go back and fix...

Great work BW as always. This ROM is very stable and fast. I went with the Titanium Home screen instead of the NEO. How do you edit the titanium panels to capital letters. It seems that some of the panels are lower case and some are capitalized. I went into CHome Editor but not all the panels have the condensed Page and PluginLabel to edit. Is there a cab or another way to do it? Thanks for your help.

You have to edit some dll files or something, Im having the same problem. I have all my panels capitalized except the email one I use, and its bugging the heck out of me....

At this time there is no cab file for the keyboard. I have to try again as the first one I made locked up on the splash screen.

It will depend on the panel. If they are the stock panels then you have to edit a dll file, though all but email should be done already. If it is an add on panel then you can edit the Titanium_240X400.cpr file to get the capitals.

Ah, got it. Thanks, I will look for the email dll file. I forgot to say thank you for capitalizing all the rest of them in this latest ROM, I appreciate it!

BW great job, I've messed around with a handful of ROMs lately and this is hands down most effecient. One issue I am coming across is File exploder doesn't have my internal 8gb mem avail. I cannont seem to access it through the phone but I can through active suck. Have you come across this? again great look.

I'd have to throw my vote in FOR this addition ...

Hmm, no I have not seen this. Is this through the normal explorer or a 3rd party? Have you made any other changes to the device since you installed the ROM?

Here's something interesting I noticed with the 23052 build rom.

When you hit the "contacts" soft key, select a contact and then select "text message", rather than taking you to a new message for that contact, you are taken to the "messaging" page where it lists text message, email accounts, mms, and setup email. So in essence, the only way to send a text message to someone that is not in your text message history or threaded texts is to open "text messages" and then the "menu" soft key and then "new" and then the "menu" soft key again and finally "add recipient" in order to get to your list of contacts so that you can choose one for the message. Very strange and a lot more button presses. I never sent messages in this way so it really stopped me in my tracks when my way no longer worked.

Anyone else notice this?

Any fix for this yet? I have searched but no luck.

I dono if you've used. Bgill's 6.5.1 v.3.0 ROM. Its a CF03 as well. The keyboard on it is sick. I love it because of no touch feedback. This way I can keep my data line on all day and have the battery last all day. Plus, I love the key set up for it.

As for the ROMs themselves, I'm constantly changing to find the ones I prefer the most... BW FTW
