Internet Explorer hasn't been working for me for the last couple of roms i've installed. Is this a known problem or is it just me?

And yes I do like the new IE lol.

No, I took it out. I was unable to create a reoccurring appointment the way I needed to. There are cabs for it floating around for download. There is also a newer version that is commercial but it has a lot more features then the one I was using.

I've actually tried capcoms rom and IE still wont work. On your rom the window that asks if I want it to be the default browser pops up but its transparent were the two buttons are supposed to be on the bottom and wont let me make a selection so its not there at all. It would usually also freeze my phone. :( This has happened on Bgill's rom too. Ever since you guys had to put out the small IE fix.

I've also tried doing a hard reset a couple of times so it should work right? But it doesnt :)

edit: On capcom's the browser address bar/ toolbar on the bottom show up...but no content in the middle(the actual page).

Awesome work, this is my favorite ROM I've tried yet for the omnia. You're really good!

One thing I can't seem to fix...

I've tried updating all the apps, removed any custom apps I installed etc. but the phone seems to crash and shut itself off everyonce in a while(Very frustrating).

I've noticed a few things:

1. Phone has crashed on me when locking screen

2. Phone crashes when I leave it alone

3. Phone DOES NOT crash EVER when it is charging or hooked up to PC via USB.

4. Phone when it has crashed and I try to turn it back on goes through your blazing wolf screen and then shuts off again sometimes.

Any suggestions?

You have to put a check in the box on the screen first. Then the buttons will show.

It's not working. The check doesnt come up. Looks like marketplace won't show up either, though I guess theres been problems with that?

ok, so this is a first: upon flashing w/ the new version I had a bonked data connection.

Not a big deal, just letting everyone know. Myself and a friend both had exact same experience. All you have to do is set up your connection.

start menu -> settings -> connections -> connections -> "add a new modem connection"

number is #777

username is "XXXXXXXXXX" (your phone number w/ area code)

password is "vzw"

domain is blank.

not sure if that is a result of a missed setting in the bake, but it is simple enough to fix on our end so no worries.

Would doing a hard reset and then reinstalling CF03 delete everything and start over so I can flash again? Pretty much all programs are freezing on me. :)

Hey BW, I am downloading your latest ROM tonight, thanks...I am wondering if anyone else has seen a "broken" short cut to the text message link. I have found on your last black ROM, then when I go in the contacts screen, choose the person that I want to text, then press text, it takes me to the "Messaging" screen, the one that asks you to choose SMS, MMS, Email. Is this just occurring with me, or is it normal with this ROM? I have found it on 53 ROM.

EDIT: It appears that your 64 update has this resolved, thank you for the hard work.

I'm having 2 issues

Every so often when in MESSAGES (usually my Exchange account) as I go from the inbox list to the individual email ... the whole window closes and I'm back at the today screen ...

and when trying to login to Google Maps special characters and or #'s aren't working ...

I have only been able to get the "@" symbol typed in once ... and my pwd contains #'s and they will not type for the life of me ...

Many a soft reset and no love for either situation ...

Just posting to the group to see if others are having this too?

I downloaded 'Black' this afternoon, flashed successfully; however, I can't set the SIP to 'Keyboard', it only uses 'XT9 Keypad'.

I've tried:

- Assigning a hard key to OK/Close, which closes, but changes are not saved

- Making the change to 'Keyboard', then soft resetting

Update:

I managed to download the default i910 keyboard cab from Hartv427, which gives me the default keyboard. Are there any issues with this configuration? It seems to work OK...

BTW, the interface is very nice, I just need to get used to using it - thanks for your hard work.

The problem with Outlook randomly closing is a known issue and happens to me all the time -- see post #649 in this thread. Can't help you much with the typing problems - have you tried a different keyboard?

I just tried IE again and it is working perfectly for me. As is Marketplace. Have you installed anything else? Which ROM are you using black or blue?

It's not the ROM. It's something going on with the install. If you flash again it probably will work just fine. Did any error message come up on flash?

You don't need to put anything in the username and password either. Then Once you start a program like IE it will ask for the info, just put a checkmark in save and it will not ask you again.

A hard reset alone should get you fixed up.
