Hey BW, I am downloading your latest ROM tonight, thanks...I am wondering if anyone else has seen a "broken" short cut to the text message link. I have found on your last black ROM, then when I go in the contacts screen, choose the person that I want to text, then press text, it takes me to the "Messaging" screen, the one that asks you to choose SMS, MMS, Email. Is this just occurring with me, or is it normal with this ROM? I have found it on 53 ROM.

EDIT: It appears that your 64 update has this resolved, thank you for the hard work.

Hmm, the 23053 fixed that I thought when I changed the contacts. Were you still on the first 23053 or the second one?

I'm having 2 issues

Every so often when in MESSAGES (usually my Exchange account) as I go from the inbox list to the individual email ... the whole window closes and I'm back at the today screen ...

and when trying to login to Google Maps special characters and or #'s aren't working ...

I have only been able to get the "@" symbol typed in once ... and my pwd contains #'s and they will not type for the life of me ...

Many a soft reset and no love for either situation ...

Just posting to the group to see if others are having this too?

The messaging closing was reported earlier but I don't mess with any of this so I'm not sure why it is happening. It happened to me once but has not happened to me again.

Seems Google Maps doesn't like the FN keys or even numbers from the LG Incite keyboard. I'm not sure why this is happening. I hardly ever log in to lattitude though so it doesn't affect me much. I'll look around and see if I can post a cab fix for it but I'm not hopeful.

I downloaded 'Black' this afternoon, flashed successfully; however, I can't set the SIP to 'Keyboard', it only uses 'XT9 Keypad'.

I've tried:

- Assigning a hard key to OK/Close, which closes, but changes are not saved

- Making the change to 'Keyboard', then soft resetting

Update:

I managed to download the default i910 keyboard cab from Hartv427, which gives me the default keyboard. Are there any issues with this configuration? It seems to work OK...

BTW, the interface is very nice, I just need to get used to using it - thanks for your hard work.

Are you tapping and holding on the SIP button for a couple of seconds? After you let go the keyboard selector should come up and you choose the keyboard from there. If you don't wait for at least 30 seconds and then use the reset button your settings will not save.

can anyone duplicate this on 23064?

in a received email with multiple recipients, select an email address to save as contact. when i do, it goes blank. it can be exited by hit D-pad [if 4 way nav-enabled]. this 'save as contact' feature works with phone numbers in the letter's body and launches an edit screen, but i havent tried with addresses in letter's body.

It's not the ROM. It's something going on with the install. If you flash again it probably will work just fine. Did any error message come up on flash?

You don't need to put anything in the username and password either. Then Once you start a program like IE it will ask for the info, just put a checkmark in save and it will not ask you again.

as a matter of fact there was an error during the first boot up. I skipped right through it w/o reading it though on reflex. Something about a link that could not be opened... or something... lol. My bad, but you're probably right that another flash might fix the issue. Meh, all things are working right now so I'll keep truckin the way it is. If I hit another issue I'll just re-flash before I do anything else.

Does anybody remember what post the reg edit for the smaller menu is in? Scrolling with the bigger menu seems harder after getting used to the last rom. Thanks in advance.

Why does exiting a text messsage takje forever? And why does my keyboard not type sometimes. Sometimnes it gets stuck and i need to use the im client to chose xt9 so that i can type. Its really annoying.

I don't know about the keyboard but I was having the same issue with my text msg taking forever to close.

Solved it by deleting all the msgs. Now it closes instantly. If you need your msgs just back them up.

BE WARE!!

I woke up this morning to find my phone with a warning/error message telling me I was out of space ...

Started poking around and found many MANY a file in the \My Documents\My Pictures folder.

Since you can't really look at these en masse I sync'd up to my PC copied them all over and took a look .... it was copies of files from teh Camera to the Temp internet pictures ...

I have yet to prove this but I am pretty sure this is due to me telling MS's MY PHONE (the latest and greatest version of course) that I wanted to sync PICTURES ...

I like the My Phone app since it has been keeping my TXT's and resync's those after a Flash Event but this new version tries to be more and apparently it's not done with the foresight that we might have alternative storage areas ...

Confirmed ... the pictures section of the My Phone (online) had all the images I deleted from the phone ... including icon collections from Weather Panel from a prior device I have stored on my storage card ...

Ironic that My Phone syncs my images from my device to the web and then duplicates them and pushes them back into a different folder ...

Way to think that one through ...

How many messages do you have saved? This has been known to occur when you leave a lot of messages in the system.

I had the same problem and downloaded the samsung keyboard and it still not allow me to enter a number in google maps signin. I used "keyboard" from the list of keyboards and it was a tiny little keyboard. it allowed me to enter numbers in the signing.

I had the same problem and downloaded the samsung keyboard and it still not allow me to enter a number in google maps signin. I used "keyboard" from the list of keyboards and it was a tiny little keyboard. it allowed me to enter numbers in the signing.

The Samsung keyboard was known to have issues with interring text in Google. I guess the LG Incite keyboard does also. I will see if there is anything I can do.

It happenes when i am text messaging. I send out hundreds of texts a day literally and here and there the keyboard messes up, so i have to go to utilities and chose the IM selector so that the keyboard works again.

I find myself hitting the "Call History" button instead of the "6" on the dialer? anyone else had that problem and are there any better dialer screens that work? thanks for the nice ROM OP.

Hey yeah thanks that actually fixed my IE and marketplace problem. I'll probably start hard resetting everytime I flash, it only takes a couple of seconds.

You are the last of the "Big Three" (cooks that is, from when I started over at PPCgeeks). Adrynalyne gone, Bgill55 last rom today, that leaves you. That is not to say there aren't a lot of talented cooks out there: Wozzer is a god but I think he is pretty busy lately, MrCapcom turns out great stuff, Waremike (I am running his today. always clean, stable, tons of free space), and others of course. I guess my question is for you, and the other cooks, can you feel the heat yet now that some of the big hitters are moving on? Your guys topics will start getting heavy traffic.

BTW Love the black and blue roms, they are your best yet. You cooks have done great recently packing in the features and somehow finding more free space.

I have followed and flashed all of you guys and very much appreciate your efforts to make the Omnia a great device. I am content with your latest black ROM with the new MS3.5 and Mskip's Elegance.

I can remember first getting the Omnia and wondering if it was a big mistake and trying to like it. Now it so damn functional, I can't stop screwing with it. Thanks again. Your ROM is the BOMB.

Great release, 2064 seems to have fixed all the bugs that bothered me before, including the close button not working (& having to map it to a hardware key), sending text message from contacts now opens a blank template addressed to the right person. Stability is great.

Finally id'd the black popup keyboard, found it through google "cc20 keyboard" :)

s***... installed the CC20 keyboard and now my omnia wont boot up, just loads for about 2 min then turns right back off. wtf!

Could anyone point me in the direction of a working CC20 keyboard...
