With the H3 and with the H5 firmware, the telehone feels the same :)

Its getting warmer if you use 3G+.

after flashed my phone by using this firmware after two days i noticed something different about it. while connecting to pc using activesycn the phone will charge itself but there's no reminder on the screen that the phone is fully charge and unplug the cable. :)

I have fully charged my phone and I get the pop up message:

"battery fully charged. Unplug the charger"

Nothing wrong with this firmware.

Also I used my phone for 3 full days without charging. :)

this H5 firmware is sucking batt at a very fast rate compared with G7

I had my phone fully charged yesterday. Shut down the phone this afternooon with 60% to board a flight back to S'pore. Upon reaching Changi airport realised my phone cannot be switch on. Reached home to recharge the battery totally flat phone. Don't understand how an off phone drain battery???

Contemplating flashing back to G7 later.

I will fully charge my phone tonight and will turn off by 100%. Tomorrow I will let you know the status of my phone battery.

The phone was on for 3 days and using every 5 minutes 3G+ to check e-mails.

hm... i'm wondering if i should flash it now

considering the mixed results from those

who have already flashed to H5... :)

cos currently G7 gives me 5 full days without charging

using plenty of short calls & SMSes wif a little bit of music,

no heating up during charging and never hung once on me. :)

Finds that H3/H5 ROM drains battery juice pretty fast...

When I was still on the initial G1 ROM, the battery can last me around 3 days before a charge is needed.

But with the H3/H5 ROM, it can last me around 1½ days max.

I've noticed same remark.

But, I'm coming form I8000HZHIG4 and I8000HZHIG7 (chinese/english). So, in those ROM, HSDPA/HSUPA was desactivated by default.

Now with the 15 languages I8000XXIH5, HSDPA/HSUPA is activated by default.

Maybe, this is a part of the reason ? And maybe, gertitombo did not see the difference because his previous ROM was a 15 languages ?

I've just desacted HSDPA/HSUPA (useless in China) to check.....

I see a slightly speed difference between H3 and H4.

Last night I charged my phone. This morning it was after booting still 100% and within a minute of "playing" 99% full.

I can use the phone for about 3,5 days with quite heavy use! So 4 to 5 days should be not a problem.

Weird that the G's (older) roms can hold the battery longer (it seems to be).

:)

My usage is just about the same as yours. Been testing it with different sort of usage during my work which requires me to stay on board shipping vessels a stretch of days at times using a fair amount of calls and SMSes for communications and to deliver instructions.

Have my charger with me but needless to say, had no need for it.

I've gotta say, damn good phone.

If you don't need 3G+, please turn it off as it eat battery (with every phone!) for example: GPRS is good if you only use it for e-mails.

For all of you in the south east, turn off 3G+ to test.

Seems that Omnia II doesn't always disconnect any existing data connection even thought I've set it to disconnect after 2 mins without any packets activity.

Just did a check on my data usage and found that there is always an approximate of 5mb ++ data download throughout the night while I was sleeping...

Guess that explains why the battery gets drain so fast.

I dun have major problem with H5 but I still feels the G7 is more stable. Ran Garmin XT this morning and notice the respond was retarded.. not as responsive when I was with G7. Not sure is psychological. But I guess I will stick to it for a couple more weeks until WM6.5 release if it is as per schedule. :)

Definitely. and the backlight's a real killer too.

i have it set to the second lowest.

if backlight is on to the fullest, barely last me 24hrs.

Ye but without the backlight how are you gonna enjoy the full Amoled display :)

Mine is on all the way everyday.... :) but i do have to charge everyday if touch it too often..

you're right. with the backlight on anywhere from half to full,

the amoled display definitely looks beautiful and sharp.

i have it at half when im home or not working.

and have it at second notch when at work.

it's a compromise for better battery life. :)
