tried all the different roms like 24001 and 28223 as well as 23102 but i must say 28223 is my top choice only cuz of the font problem in 23102 but lioryte has really out did himself with all of his roms and like other responses here always look for his first keep up the good work with out you and other chefs omnia would just be a boring piece of equipment and not the fun we all have flashing

Lioryte, I had an idea. Can you put up a vote to see what is the most recommended rom? I'm having a difficult time wondering which rom I should flash to. Since most of the people on your thread are knowledgeable it would be great to see what rom most of them choose.

the problem with this suggestion is you will have 2 camps--one for the latest release [new members and flashaholics], another with a personal preference [regular members and recovering flashaholics]. sometimes it will converge on one release but in this instance with 5 new releases in addition to past ones, for better or for worse the herd typically prevails.

furthermore, members' input run the risk of steering this thread off-topic. you should consider creating a new topic where members can list/link pros and cons of ROMs they've used or pondered over.

i apologize in advance for going off-topic ;)

Lioryte (or anyone): Did I see something mentioned about font issues with 23102? I'm noticing that with Calender Touch (from SBSH) the side fonts are all goofy. Just wondering what that was all about, and if there was a fix. Thx.

Question...

I've read in other places that the registration keyword MinimumTapTime should probably be deleted to improve screen response.

Does anyone else using Lioryte's ROMs have any other input on this matter?

I flashed to 28223 last night. Works great so far!! Fast, responsive, keyboards seem to be responding faster. Base keyboard and sw$pe.

GPS works great, batter seems to be good too.

With 23102 I found that when the phone is horizontal, IE landscape mode, and I start the camera the font is fine. Start the camera while in portrait mode and the fonts are screwed up.

Other than that it seems to be the most responsive, Works great with SPB shell, granted it's only been on my phone for a day....

Funny you mention this. Back in the days prior to DVD's, I was having troubles with my VCR. I took it apart and found that my 18 month old son had put a whistle and a few pennies in it. Whistle okay, pennies very bad for a VCR. Now my son's in high school presenting his father with a whole new set of challenges. When does it end?!!!

* Threaded Email is in, I included Office 2010 since COM5 comes with it in the Sys files.

* Timebomb Patched, thanks for reminding me Waremike ;)

* Seems faster than COM5, this looks to be as fast as WMD.

* I'm attaching the build report and DiffMerge file showing the diff. comparing to 23519

* Still no WMP in lockscreen.

* Still in menu>settings>personal>phone>services soft OK button isn't working. Map OK to a hard button.

I've been running 28223 for a couple days now. Very stable except it did lose my email settings (just once so far) and swype doesn't work in Landscape mode. Everything else seems great. Thanks!

Unfortunately, last COM 5 build I had made EverNote stop working - you could get into the app but could never display any of your notes. That is why I switched to the 23102 build where it does work (but fonts are goofy).

Anyone flashed to 23529 and can check to see if EverNote now works? I would reflash in a second if it does....

Running 28223,

I haven't been receiving all my texts, mail and such due to the sounds not working from time to time and i get a notification icon in the task bar but when i click on it there is no notification in the drop down.

I am also using SPB 3.5.3 with MSkip Ultimate. Could possibly be the Mskip but not sure. Any one else having ringtone/notification issues on this build?

would to hear from someone wit 23529 as well ;)

Looking at the kitchen- I might have forgotton to change it from read only (the fact it didn't crash was a miracle I got excited...) Sorry :( Just use something like resco exp or total commander.

No need to use a hard button for changing the number in phone settings, only services OK ain't working. changing the number works fine for me with OK on softkey

Location might work with the GPS but the fast cell tower fix doesn't. Am I the only one? I've been having this issue on Verizon since... I don't really remember but it hasn't worked on a large number of different builds for two months or so.

i think EN will no longer work on 235xx branch. however, it's still compatible on 282xx.
